Bring Us Some Figgy Pudding

I borrowed an Xcut die set of my Mum's to make this card; I was so pleased when she bought it because I knew I'd get to play with it!
I created the card blank with Grand Spellbinders dies, and added some interest to the plain circle, that I cut from Stardust card, with an Embossalicious embossing folder.  I used a section of doily that I highlighted with Star Dust Stickles to create a sparkly Christmas tablecloth, it shows up so much better in reality than it does in the photos.
I used Mum's Xcut die set to make the pudding and all the accessories, it even comes with a die to cut a little sixpence.
To finish, I stamped a sentiment and cut it out with a Sizzix tag die, topping it with a tiny clear gem.

I Love Promarkers DT Card - Flowers / Nature

It's challenge time again at I love Promarkers, this fortnight our theme is "Flowers / Nature", and we're sponsored by The Paper Shelter, who kindly gave the DT a couple of images to play with.  I chose to use The Sweet Gardener, which I coloured, of course, with my Promarkers.
The papers are from a First Edition Pad called Paper Flowers, I love the colours of these papers, I added some lilac pearl card for matting.
To embellish, I added a sentiment stamped with a Lili of the Valley stamp, a sprig of flowers made with a Sizzix die set that I got for my birthday from a crafty friend, and a trio of butterflies made with Xcut dies from my Rose Flourish set, which I topped with tiny blue pearls for their bodies.

A Gem of a Challenge DT Card - Female Birthday

We have a new challenge for you today at A Gem of a Challenge, this fortnight the theme is "Female Birthday", so nice and easy to play along with.  I chose to use Flower Power Emma from the Pink Gem store, colouring her with my ever faithful Promarkers.  I cut out the topper and the frame for it with Spellbinders Adorning Rectangles dies.

The glorious patterned papers are from a Craftwork Cards pad called Countryside; they were a birthday present from one of my crafty friends, along with a bag of the matching Card Candi, a piece of which can be seen on the sentiment tag.  The whole pad is in my fave colour combo of pink and green, so you can expect to see these papers popping up a lot!
To embellish, I added some lime green grosgrain ribbon and bow, a sentiment tag, cut with a Sizzix die and stamped with a Personal Impressions stamp, a flower made with Sue Wilson Cornflower dies, and foliage made with a Sizzix die.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges -

From Our Home To Yours

A Christmas card today, using a lovely Sizzix die that I recently treated myself to.  The glitter hasn't shown up very well in the photos but it's very sparkly in reality, I got covered in the stuff myself whilst making it, clothes, hair, face, the lot!
The patterned paper is Lili of the Valley, Frosty Christmas, to which I added plain white card to die cut the main image, which was done with a Sizzix die, and blue card to die cut a fancy circle, which was done with a Grand Spellbinders die.  I also used the same blue card to die cut some accents for the main image.
To embellish, I added some pale blue and crystal glitters to the recesses in the design, I added some Glossy Accents to the hearts, and I finished with some gems, including a tiny one for a door handle.

Cutie Pie DT Card - Polka Dots and Pastels

We're at the halfway point of our "Polka Dots and Pastels" challenge at Cutie Pie, this month we're sponsored by Little Blue Button, who very kindly gave the DT some pretty digis to play with.  I chose to use Dream Charlie, colouring her with my Promarkers.
The paper are mix of Kanban, Cambridge and Lili of the Valley, Shabby Shack, I chose these because they were in pastel colours and had dots on!  I added a doily into the layering for a pretty, girly look.
I used a Spellbinders die to cut the fancy blue circle and Sizzix dies for the flowers and foliage, I added colour to the small flowers with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink and added yellow gems to their centres.
The sentiment and banner were stamped with stamps from a Papermania Folk Floral set, and I finished my card with some layered ribbon with a matching bow.

Kitty Bee DT Card - Summer Fun

We're at the half way point of our "Summer Fun" challenge at Kitty Bee, this fortnight we're sponsored by Lemon Shortbread and Scrap 'N' Dipity, both of whom kindly gave the DT some images to play with.  I chose this beautiful digi from Lemon Shortbread called Strawberry Hat Kid, which I coloured with my Promarkers.  The colouring looks much richer in reality, reds never photograph well and the fruits look much flatter than they actually are.
The strawberry paper is from an ancient Papermania pack called Little Cake Shoppe, which I still really like, I have it in A4 and A5, much depleted now.
I cut away a section of card from the right hand side of the blank and glued on a die cut border, cut with a Sizzix die from green pearl card.  I lined the card with red paper so that the die cut foliage really stands out against it.
The sentiment was stamped with a Papermania Daisy and Dandelion stamp and die cut with a Spellbinders die.  Whilst still in the die, I added a little Twisted Citron Distress Ink for a hint of colour, and coloured the butterflies bright red for a bold splash of colour.
The strawberry flowers were made with a punch, I used some yellow glitter flock for the centres, the foliage was created with the same die as the border, I simply snipped it into sprigs.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
Creative Corner - Anything Goes
As You Like It - Favourite Colouring Medium and Why - I love Promarkers, I love how they blend and how the colours layer up to a rich, intense shade.  I also find colouring with them very therapeutic.

Welcome Baby Ben

I've got a baby card to share today, to celebrate the birth of a a baby boy, Ben, born to a work colleague of my husband's.  I love making baby cards, it's such a wonderful occasion to celebrate, and always reminds me of when I had my tiny bundle of joy over nine years ago, how time flies!
The cute image is a Lili of the Valley stamp, which I coloured with Promarkers.  I added the name by stamping the letters onto patterned paper using a Papermania Sew Lovely alphabet stamp set and cutting them out and sticking them on.  The sentiment was stamped with a Personal Impressions stamp, I did all the stamping in Rich Cocoa memento ink for a soft look that tone well with my papers.
The papers are Papermania, Capsule Collection, Geometric in Mocha, to which I added some dark brown card for matting.  The papers are lovely, some of them are foiled and I think the neutral browns make a nice alternative to blue for baby boy cards.
To embellish, I added some satin ribbon, a matching bow, and a sweet teddy bear made with a Sizzix die, I gave him seed beads for eyes and a touch of Glossy Accents on his nose.
