Saturday fun

On a cool day at the end of September

we hopped in the car

and headed East to Oak Grove.
Missouri for our annual Fall
Barn Sale trip.

I love all the Fall decorations.

Look what is peeking out of the
big pot!

Oh, what fun it is to look through
all of the goodies they have.

Their displays are great! All nooks
and crannies have something in
them. I look everywhere just so I
don't miss anything! Plus they
always have cookies! This year
they had hot spiced tea. Mr. Ken
enjoyed that!

This is the view from the driveway as
you go back to your car. Trees had
just started their transformation.

Here is what I bought--minus the salt
and pepper shakers.
A small drawer- put to use on our dining
room table, an oil can and a metal cup.
The oil can has changed it's appearance
and the cup will be added to the metal
garden.
Not too much this year but I like what
I got. The oil can will appear in another
post. Stay tuned.

This is the drawer from the front.
It was a cool but beautiful drive,
one we enjoy making in the Fall.

Barn Sale and Back

Yesterday we went off
to our favorite Barn Sale
in Oak Grove, MO. We
got a bit of a late start
but we got there and
that is all that matters!
I picked up a new ladder,
a pretty pink apron, a
black trivet, the cutest
little rolling pin, a small
candle holder, two metal
cookie cutters and a
note holder.
As I find homes for these I
will show you what I have
done with them.
Happy Sunday--got lots
to do!

Thrifty Fun

Some of you have asked about the
red stool. It has made a couple of
appearances on the blog recently.
It came from a Barn Sale that Mr.
Ken and I went to earlier this month.
I almost left it, I'm glad I didn't
since it fits perfectly on our porch
AND the price was right--$ 20.00!
The items on the stool came from
the same sale. I bought Mr. Ken
the antique level, which is currently
living on our TV. I alos got some
kids blocks and a silver cream
pitcher.
This is the same sale that we go to
each fall in Oak Grove, MO.

Barn Sale Fun

Here are the goodies that I picked up last Saturday's Barn Sale. Top row: L to R-- Small thread holder, pipe and tobacco holder, jar of beans. Bottom row: L to R-- Cow bell, lunch pail and S and P shakers. Here an up close and personal look at my little thread holder. It has been cleaned out and reorganized. It is now checking out the sewing room.
Here are the S and P shakers up
close. Aren't they great? I think
they may go on the stove--maybe.
Way too much fun at these sales.

Depending on how busy I get this
afternoon there may be a Sunday
Savor--we'll see.
