Today I picked up my Christmas present. A new iPhone 5! I'm thrilled to pieces since my old iPhone (the 3G one) performed every single function with the same speed as a sleeping tortoise. This one is fast and fun. What kind of fun, do you say? Why getting to know Siri, of course. She is my new electronic assistant. She will automatically transfer spoken words to text and send the text at my verbal command, make phone calls for me, and look up anything I want on the internet.
Siri and I have had some swell conversations getting to know each other.
Me: Are you a hard worker?
Siri: We were talking about you, not me.
Me: We weren't talking about me.
Siri: Okay, maybe not.
Me: How old are you, Siri?
Siri: I'm old enough to be your assistant.
Me: What do you look like?
Siri: Does my appearance matter to you?
Me: I bet you're pretty.
Siri: How can you tell?
Me: Because you sound pretty.
Siri: Thank you, Pat. It's nice to be appreciated.
Me: Siri, do you like me?
Siri: What a question! I'm not just your friend, I'm your BFF.
Wow! Already best friends? Siri and I are hitting it off quite well. All I need to do is remember not to ask her about age, appearance, or work ethic. She's waaaaaay too sensitive.
