As we solemnly recall the 11th of November, I pause to thank President Biden for a second consecutive Armistice/Veterans Day without an open US overseas conflict.  No new VFW memberships will be filled today.

But, besides the half-hearted ThankyouforyourService bromides you can't find a conservative today who talks about the Veterans of the Global War on Terror or the Iraq War or Afghanistan.  20 years ago Republicans and Rightwingers declared the so-called War on Terror the single most titanic clash of civilizations since the Cold War and the defining monumental struggle of the 21st century.  Today, nothing...

It's one of the most shameful actions of mass forgetting by Rightwingers in US History.  Additionally, while I don't slam Democrats who couldn't stand against the tide of war back then I understand it's de rigueur to claim the Democrats weren't even a tepid non-resistance to the Rush to War and were more than willing accomplices.  The cool cynics ape the declaration that there is one party in America; the War Party with two branches (left and right).  

But, let's be clear any candidate who was against the AUMF didn't stand a chance in 2004, yes Bernie Bros, beloved Bernie Sanders didn't run for President in 2004 because he knew he'd be annihilated.  And yes Racist Ron Paul's rEVOLution didn't come out until 2008. And Republicans ran on WAR in the 2002 midterms and won. 

But, by 2016 the Corporate Media was more than willing to let Rightwingers engage in the time honored America tradition of revisionist history and cast the blame for the GWoT mainly onto President Obama and HRC.  No one should forget the Maureen Dowd ridiculous too cute alliteration column Donald the Dove, Hillary the Hawk.

By 2021, after not covering the Afghan War for years when President Biden extricated the United States from Afghanistan Dick Engel raged at the loss of his War Boner and news agencies cultivated Lara Logan's insanity as the Corporate Media declared the End of the Occupation after 20 fucking years to be the greatest blunder in US foreign policy ever.  It was shameless and ridiculous, untrue and galling.  So if you think the Corporate Media would have laid off an anti-War candidate instead of constantly hounding anyone who stood against the GWoT in 2002 and 2004 you're either fooling yourself or a fool.

In fact, the only Republicans who talk about the War on Terror today are those running for office who inflate, exaggerate, and lie about their service records.  J.R. Majewski, that doughy lard-ass, continued to claim throughout the year his deployments are sooooooo classified that he can't show them to anyone after it was shown he completely lied about his military service.  Tyler Kistner in Minnesota was caught claiming combat experience when he had none.  Kistner, who claimed 4 combat tours took a page from Majewski and claimed his military action was so sensitive, "even basic details could help foreign adversaries."

This is really shameless.  But, Majewski and Kistner still received over 100,000 votes in their respective House races, though both fortunately lost.  But, I did't expect any rightwinger to not vote for these two Republican Liars.  Rightwingers are sheep and drones.  Remember every accusation by a rightwinger is a confession, they only care about power.  Rightwingers long ago jettisoned their so-called values, ethics, morals, beliefs, all that matters to them now is gaining the power of government to enforce their agenda of hatred, intolerance, and oppression.

So, understand The Military writ large isn't actually a bastion of conservatives anymore, even if psychotic Rightwing lunatics infest the ranks of Admirals and Generals..  It's not the Reagan 1980's anymore.  The majority of veterans in the 21st century are liberal.  The majority of Veterans and active duty voted for Joe Biden in 2020.    

Republicans and Rightwingers don't represent America anymore and have nothing to offer the American people but, violence and lies.  Veterans and active duty service members know and can sense this and it's why Republicans are steadily drifting away from helping and addressing Veterans issues and why in the 2022 elections Wisconsin Republicans committed election fraud via military ballots and sought to throw out overseas military ballots.

Republicans hate Veterans.  The GOP doesn't give a rat's hind tit about Veterans and never has.  Republicans only support Veterans like Tom Cotton, who call for using the US Military to put down Americans seeking to express their rights to speech and assembly. 

 

Republicans see Veterans and active duty service members as naught but little tokens to be used and tossed aside if one becomes broken or unresponsive to the rightwing agenda of hatred, intolerance and oppression.  And Republicans don't give a shit if you know it anymore.

The Republicans in the Senate voted against funding for Veterans affected by the toxic miasma which emanated from the burn pits used throughout Global War on Terror.  Republicans callous disregard for Veterans is borne from the fact that the majority of Republican Chickenhawk Warmongers didn't serve and don't know anything about the Bush/Cheney Wars and don't give a shit about Veterans except to use them as props for their re-election campaigns.

Once again we have a situation in this country were Republicans have been allowed to get away with claiming they love the troops, they support the troops, they cherish the troops while their actions are wholly, diametrically in opposition but, the Corporate Media has always let Republicans get away with such lies about everything. 

For years, Republicans paid lip service to Supportin' the Troops and Thank You For Your Service and Wounded Warriors.  It was all a con.  It was all a facade.  It was all a lie.  Republicans hate Veterans and see their healthcare as an unacceptable drain.  For Republicans Veterans and The Troops have always been a rhetorical cudgel to bash the left; for instance War Crimes Cheerleader Sean Hannity in the 2000's the only way to support the troops was to unquestioningly support the Iraq War and march in lock-step behind W(orst POTUS Ever).  Recall that Sean Hannity had his Oliver North/Hannity Freedom Alliance Charity concerts ostensibly for Wounded Veterans and their children's college funds but, in reality was little more than a way to funnel charitable donations into Hannity's bank account.

There is nothing good about this; but, this does highlight something Republicans aren't ready to accept or face.  They've lost any presumptive advantage amongst Veterans, even if conservatives are unwilling to accept it.  During the Phony GWoT, conservatives by and large eschewed military service.  And the Chickenhawk cowardice of right-wingers was noted and seen by a lot of the younger generation.  Hence in 2020, active duty service members and Veterans voted for Biden over Trump.  Because they see how they are actually disrespected and mistreated by the cowardly GOP.

Right now, a lot of 2003-2004 political strategy manuals are being dusted off. Hopefully, John Kerry's "I was for the war, before I was against it" is not one of them.

In 2003-2004, Democratic politicians tried to thread the needle of a third way between Pro-War and Anti-War. Democrats hoped to be seen supporting the Troops while hedging their bets about the Iraq Invasion and Occupation. Republicans on the other hand went full in on the War and declared anyone who did not support the War was a treasonous Anti-American traitor who sided with the 9/11 attackers. War Criminal Dick Cheney derisively declared, "So?" when the media tepidly pointed out the Iraq War was a massive disaster.

Even as the war dragged on, with deaths, injuries, multiple deployments, torture, war crimes in Abu Ghraib or Fallujah and the WMD lies by W(orst President Ever) were hilariously revealed in a White House comedy skit conservatives were still hammering at the Left and drunkenly claimed Saddam was responsible for 9/11 and Liberals loved Saddam.

As is their nature, conservatives used the troops as a rhetorical cudgel to attack the Left and Democrats fearing they would lose in 2004 were still hesitant to accurately call for Bush's Impeachment as a a War criminal. Well, the wishy-washy Kerry lost in 2004. Republicans fucking gained seats in the House and Senate. So, the Iraq War continued as Bush swaggered around the White House in his phony cowboy attire. Conservatives continued to support Bush and Cheney throughout their Nation Wrecking Maladministration, which went from one disaster to another. Perhaps you recall some of the Bush List of accomplishments: 9/11, protecting the Bin Laden family including Osama, Iraq War Crimes, $5 TRILLION dollars lost in the deserts of Iraq and Wadis of Afghanistan, Katrina, culminating in the Great Republican Recession of 2007.

So, after President Obama won election conservatives quickly declared the Iraq War Won (Victory in Iraq Day is officially 11/22/2008 in conservative #AlternativeFacts Universe). Shamelessly, after years of declaring anyone questioning the Iraq War was a traitor and sided with the terrorists, Trump won (with help from the likes of Zero Hedge) by declaring Hillary Clinton the sole architect responsible for the Iraq War and its failures. And conservatives fell in-line as they always do.

As is necessary when the US engages in military operations Qasem Soleimani has been elevated to near Hitlerian heights in order to justify his killing. Ridiculous joke of a human and Arch-Traitor to the United States Donald J. Trump tweeted,

"General Qassem Soleimani has killed or badly wounded thousands of Americans over an extended period of time, and was plotting to kill many more...but got caught! He was directly and indirectly responsible for the death of millions of people, including the recent large number of PROTESTERS killed in Iran itself." 

100% bullshit. Thousands of Americans? Bullshit! Millions of people! Total Horseshit! And before Mike Pompeo could disseminate the Agitprop of 'Iraqis celebrating and dancing in the streets' the 60 million Trump Lovers took to their social media to declare their jingoistic unwavering support for the mission and the upcoming war with Iran.

So, expect Faux News to replay their greatest hits; You can't criticize a President during a War, you can't support the Troops without supporting Trump, anyone who is against the drone strike of Qasem Soleimani is a hypocrite or a terrorist-lover, Actually Obama/Hillary/John Kerry is responsible for Iran, The Democrats are in league with Iran, and so forth.

Conservatives will dust off the Toby Keith CDs, reattach their faded yellow ribbon magnets, criticize anyone against War as a Terrorist Sympathizer. Right-wingers long ago realized conservatives have No Memory and No Concept of Future Time. There is only the Eternal Now. And you say whatever you need to in order to Win Now.

The US launched some airstrikes at the end of the year which apparently killed 50 US trained erstwhile allied security forces. After the strikes, the US Embassy in Baghdad came under an "attack" and the protesters bypassed all the ineffectual defenses but, the attacks did not result in any lives lost. The Department of Defense officially claimed Iranian backed Shia-militias were responsible because leaders were spotted int he crowd. Less talked about by the DoD was Secretary of State Pompeo slashed funding for the security in a repeat of the embassy funding cuts done by Republicans in 2011.

Donald Trump began tweeting out "Anti-Bengahzi" because he is an illiterate buffoon who can't even spell let alone comprehend the forces Dickless Cheney and George W(worst POTUS Ever) unleashed during their Great Boondoggle along the Tigris and Euphrates. Iran became the preeminent power in the Middle East as a direct result of the Iraq War.

As the tensions escalate we face the near certainty of a renewed Iraq War. Or worse still a proxy War with Iran in Iraq which will eventually spill into direct war with Iran. Trump is blustering boob who, in fits of phony toughness, has publicly and repeatedly staked out the maximalist position of 100% retaliation at any provocation. Thus, Trump can not rely on diplomacy when faced with an escalating crisis and even if he wished to, his undermining of the State Department during his Ukrainian Crimes has closed that avenue for him. And there is no longer a so-called adult in the Oval Office to keep the childish Trump from lashing out in a fit of pique. Thus, he's left only with the military option.

But, as is always the case once Trump fucks something up the Magat Horde take it upon themselves to retcon his mistakes into glory whilst finding a way to Blame Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton.

In this case, the decision seems to be to blame John Kerry. Rightwing social media is circulating pictures of a White House visit in 2011 by the Nouri Al-Malki administration in which Hadi Al-Amiri takes part.

This alone is all the rightwing Wurlitzer needs to spin a million and one fables via a million and one tweets. The Joy of being a Conservative is having No Memory and acting as though incidents and people spring up ex nihilio. To conservatives on-line (and the bots that amplify them) until December 31st 2019 there never was a Hadi Al-Amiri. He isn't the Minister of Transportation. He wasn't part of the post Saddam post Coalition Provisional Authority Government. He never fought in the Iran-Iraq War, which was fomented by Ronnie Raygun, Donald Rumsfeld, and George Bush Senior. Nope. Instead Had Al-Amiri sprung up from Barack's tears of capitulation from the desert during Obama's Surrender World Tour.

Right now, the US has proclaimed at the direction of the "President", a targeted airstrike at Baghdad Airport has killed General Qasem Soleimani. Thus raising the question: under what authority was this attack authorized? The Ancient crumbling AUMF? Don't expect Republicans to break with Trump over this bombing they've given themselves completely to MAGA. And the jingoistic war-boners this is giving the Magat Horde on-line gives lie to the Donald the Dove narrative they careful curated for Media consumption.

So now... now we await the response from the Shia Arabs, Iranian directed militia forces, and Official Iraqi government. Will they ratchet up incidents to force Trump to respond with his phony bravado and send the troops surging back to Iraq? Or is the long awaited Invasion of Iran about to begin?

Turkey declares they are moving forward with a long planned military operation into Northern Syria and Trump gets a phone call from Turkish President Erdogan demanding payback.

So Trump being stupid but, needing the fawning adoration of his #Magat Horde declares he defeated ISIS and is now pulling back US Forces;

“Turkey will soon be moving forward with its long-planned operation into Northern Syria. The United States Armed Forces will not support or be involved in the operation, and United States forces, having defeated the ISIS territorial ‘Caliphate,’ will no longer be in the immediate area,” according to a White House statement.

Trump knows his rabid base only care about the semblance of victory. Conservatives long ago abandoned objective reality and treat Trump or a Republican administrations statements as stone-cold facts. So Trump tweeted out,

As I have stated strongly before, and just to reiterate, if Turkey does anything that I, in my great and unmatched wisdom, consider to be off limits, I will totally destroy and obliterate the Economy of Turkey (I’ve done before!). They must, with Europe and others, watch over... the captured ISIS fighters and families. The U.S. has done far more than anyone could have ever expected, including the capture of 100% of the ISIS Caliphate. It's shades of the conservative reaction to the Iraq War. Conservatives proclaimed Iraq a Glorious Victory dozens of times during W(orst POTUS Ever) pResidency, beginning when C+ Augustus awarded himself a Triumph aboard the USS Enterprise on May 1, 2003 and continuing until right-wingers declared V-I Day on November 8, 2008 in order to "get it on the record".

But, while the Iraq War Crimes and Middle East chaos were exactly what Dick Cheney and the Republican Party wanted in order to make off with Trillions of dollars in Wealth stolen from the American and Iraqi people, Trump's decision is actually more pathetic.

Ultimately, the chaos in the Middle East ties back directly to George W(worst President of All-Time) Bush ginning up a war in Iraq and ISIS is the unholy muslim love-child of Ronnie Raygun and W(orst) but, that doesn't matter right now because Trump's weakness is going to get a massive number of people killed, destroy any semblance of stability in the Middle East, and cede geopolitical dominance in the region.

Trump wants an expanded Military able to fight multiple wars at the same time

According to reporting in the Armytimes and MarineCorpstimes, Donald Trump wants an expanded military able to project military power in multiple theaters simultaneously.

Trump wants an active-duty Army with another 60,000 soldiers in the ranks, an unspecified number of additional sailors to man the 78 ships and submarines he intends to see built in coming years. He wants up to 12,000 more Marines to serve in infantry and tank battalions, and at least another 100 combat aircraft for the Air Force. 

Where is he going to get the extra Americans from? Right-Wingers love to talk up the military but shy away from actually joining and doing the work. Conservatives shirk duty at every opportunity.

But, during the Global War on Terror (GWoT) sometimes known as World War IV to Conservatives (Ronnie Raygun having won World War III against the Soviet Union by himself), Young Conservatives eschewed military service. During W(orst POTUS Ever) misadministration military Recruiters, under massive pressure to make quotas, were driven to signing up gangbangers and white supremacists to fill vacanies which conservatives were reluctant to fill. But, conservatives were more than willing to fight the battle on the homefront; Attacking liberals, defaming anti-war activists, and joining the couch-borne keyboard commandoes.

However, during the year-long 2016 Presidential Race, conservatives adopted a mealy-mouthed anti-war stance, which they really didn't believe. Right-Wingers and their media sychophants assured America that Trump hated Wars, especially Iraq. Of course, Iraq really was entirely the fault of HRC and her 30 year reign as Emperor of America. The vote totals probably indicate Trump's new found anti-Iraq War stance didn't sway anti-war people into Trump's camp but, it did afford ratfvckers like Glenn Greenwald and Jill Stein cover to go after HRC while minimalizing the world-wide danger represented by Donald Trump.

So, what we are seeing is a repeat of Reaganomics. Massive deficit spending on the military. Jobs creation focused on the military; more soldiers, more contractors, more non-military support staff.

Remember that for every soldier, airmen, sailor, or Marine in uniform you're talking at least 9 non-military personnel added.

Trump has promised to build a Marine Corps capable of simultaneously winning two wars. It would be based on 36 battalions, up from the current force structure of 24 active-duty infantry battalions, two active-duty tank battalions and supporting units. That means adding between 8,000 and 12,000 more Marines to the service’s roster, another potentially expensive personnel plus-up dependent on a significant influx of new funding.   Using the fiscal 2017 personnel costs as a base, that could total more than $1 billion per year just in personnel costs, before equipment and training are factored in. 

But, when coupled with the right-wing moronic lunatics Trump is proposing former Marine Corps General James Mattis for Secretary of Defense and General Mike Flynn for National Security Advisor it's time to realize the United States is about to enter two new wars in the Middle East; i.e. An invasion of Syria to unleash Trump's secret smarter than the generals plan to fight ISIS and a ramping up of tensions with Iran under the leadership of Warmonger Senators Tom Cotton and John McCain until Trump declares war to distract the American people.

So, as conservatives get their war back on, challenge them over and over to enlist and put their asses on the line instead just talking tough. But, get ready for Generation: Chicken Hawk 2.0.

American Sniper Chris Kyle was a liar as well as a butcher

Perhaps embellisher is the kinder term, but Kyle did in fact murder numerous innocent Iraqis, whom he referred to as "savages", it's just he wasn't awarded for it as much as he claimed. Kyle couldn't rest on those laurels and so he had to concoct heroic war stories for himself and fabricate a whole slew of extra ribbons and awards.

As conservatives are over-whelmingly chicken hawk cowards they know nothing of the military and didn't care anything about the war crimes committed by the Regime of the W(orst President in US History); what they wanted was jingoism, blood shed and the ability to yell at and threaten liberals.

Chris Kyle gave them that and like George Zimmerman, Ted Nugent, or any other conservative "hero", Kyle was beloved because he murdered enemies of the right-wing hegemony and conservatives got a vicarious thrill through his made-up heroics, i.e. Killing innocent muslims and claiming to kill blacks in New Orleans post-Katrina.

Amongst the lies Kyle told was that he murdered 30 people in New Orleans while stationed atop the Superdome and gunning down two "carjackers" in Texas. Of course, I would not put it past Kyle to appoint himself Judge, Jury, and Executioner and murder, but these tales are beyond belief.

Perhaps, I'm being too harsh on Kyle, perhaps his embellishment/lying was a way of coping with his PTSD, with trying minimize the damage war does to ones mind, body, and soul. But, I don't believe so. The circumstances surrounding Kyle's death indicate he was entranced by guns and violence, and contemptuous of those he deemed weaker than himself.

Therefore, I think Kyle considered himself the next Alvin York, Audie Murphy, John Basilone, or Carlos Hathcock and needed to spruce up his ribbon bar. The truth is Pat Tillman was a American Hero while Kyle has more in common with Charles Whitman and he should be remembered in exactly the same way.

Bush and Cheney screwed America but, they hope you forget and Blame Barack Obama (Update) Iraq War Crimes

Everyone knows the First Law, that is Ronald Reagan was a Modern Day Gilgamesh who single-handedly defeated the Soviet Union, balanced the budget, cut taxes and created a budgetary surplus simultaneously.

But, mentioning any of the massive failures of George W. Bush, especially the worst disaster on the CONUS since the War of 1812 is anathema. Bush kept US safe, hosannah, hosannah, hosannah.

9/11 happened over 14 years ago and no I will never forgive W(orst POTUS Ever), Dick Cheney or the Republican Party. I do not believe any of the MIHOP or LIHOP or other 9/11 related Conspiracies, this was sheer incompetence.

But, Bush's incompetence, especially ignoring the August 6th Memo which specifically warned Bin Laden Determined to Strike in US, was massively compounded by Right-Wing failures during the Phony Global War on Terror and the Conservative policies of oppression, intolerance and adulation of the rich, which created the Republican Recession of 2007 after the Guard Dogs of the Plutocracy passed law after law, and ruling after ruling designed to grind the working class into penury and ensure the recreation of a Neo-Feudalist State.

Jeb Bush called the elimination of Saddam Hussein a pretty good deal. Perhaps it was a "pretty good deal", if like all NeoCons you have no skin in the game because Never Forget you can't get any skin from a Bush... But, just as was predicted it completely destabilized the region, empowered Iran, and led to the creation of ISIS.

When Faux News Chris Wallace, of all people, pointed out the Bush/Cheney Cabal left President Obama with a mess, Dick "5 Deferments" Cheney tersely replied, "I don't think of it that way."

Of course, he doesn't in Dick-less Cheney's Universe everything he and Bush did was a resounding success, which the Mainstream Media, who slavishly wish to show they don't have those icky, evil liberal tendencies is only too eager to agree with as Stephanie Buhle demonstrated when she was shocked, SHOCKED! anyone would imply George W. Bush did anything other than keep us safe.

My strong opinion, though I don't have any proof, in the classical sense of the word, is that they want to change the entire Middle East, and the Arab world, perhaps terminate some countries, destroy the so-called terrorist groups they dislike, and install régimes friendly to the United States. I think this is a dream that has very little basis in reality. The knowledge they have of the Middle East, to judge from the people who advise them, is, to say the least, out of date and widely speculative.

When 9/11, is combined with Hurricane Katrina, the bungled Phony War on Terror, and the Republican Recession of 2007, no other President has a been such a disaster and hurt America so badly since Jefferson Davis.

The Murder of 4 Marines and a Sailor in Chattanooga isn't Terrorism

Sometime in the last year a Kuwait born man decided to kill Americans. Two days ago he succeeded in killing 4 Marines and a Sailor, while seriously injuring another Marine.

The 24 year old murderer, thankfully killed by Police, was born in Kuwait during President H. W. Bush Operation Desert Shield/Storm time frame before moving to the States and ostensibly becoming an American.

The spectre of Iraq hangs over these killings. Kuwait isn't a real country. It was carved out of the area post World War I by the British to be a port for British Petroleum. Beyond the gross fetishization of every Servicemember being a Hero and every Servicemember having fought for our Freedoms the truth is that very little the US Military has done during the last 15 years has made America any safer, made Americans freer, or turned the world into a better place.

The Iraq War was a Monumental Failure, which has utterly destablized the region, stolen Trillions of dollars from the US Taxpayer, killed a million Iraqis, wounded a hundred thousand Americans, split the Nation asunder, and will be a black spot against the US for decades if not a century.

In the early stages of Iraq, after disgusting puke George W(orst President Ever) Bush declared the Iraq War over and was telling the Insurgency to bring it on, the Republican Warmongers and their feckless conservative lick-spittles needed a Hero to take heat off; Enter Pat Tillman.

Tillman, as most people know gave up a lucarative NFL career to enlist and served as an Army Ranger before being killed in a friendly fire incident in 2004.

After attempts by the Bush Department of Defense to cover up the facts surrounding Tillman's true cause of death and their use of Tillman's corpse to silence anti-war critics, we learned of Pat Tillman's atheism, utter disdain for George Bush, his disgust at the Iraq War, probable support of John Kerry for President and his admiration of Noam Chomsky.

Of course, Tillman was no longer a hero to conservatives. Sean Hannity and Ann Coulter, who had previously gushed and fawned over him, describing Tillman as "virtuous, masculine and pure as only the American Male can be" couldn't believe the man they had lionized would be against the War and read approvingly of works written by leftists.

So, conservatives abandoned the tributes to a fallen Soldier and buried his Hero Legacy with him.

Now, Chris Kyle is different. He massages every sick and twisted conservative pleasure center with his Book of Tall Tales. Blam! He killed so many Iraqis he became the Shaitan of Ar Ramadi... Blam! He gunned down looters in New Orleans during the Post-Katrina debacle... Blam! He punched out Jessie Ventura for bad-mouthing the US of A and President "I'm the Decider" Bush...

Chris Kyle is a hero to conservatives because he killed lots of Iraqis, whom Kyle called "savages". The same Savage Iraqis who attacked Us on 9/11! In reality, did anything Chris Kyle do in Iraq help the Iraqi people or the United States? Nope.

By all accounts he loved killing and thought every problem could be solved by guns. Thus, he lived by the sword and died by the sword... And the world is better off without him.

President Obama still cleaning up Dick Cheney's Colossal Blunder(s)

One would be hard pressed to find a single Man responsible for more pain and damage to the American People and the Nation than Dick Cheney; Tojo and Robert E. Lee come to mind.

Cheney and his daughter whose only credentials are she's ridden Dick to further her political career and of being 1/5th of Dick's Deferments wrote an Op-ed in the Wall Street Journal which is a case study in projection and holds the key to the entire Conservative Mindset.

Rarely has a U.S. president been so wrong about so much at the expense of so many. 

This one sentence encapsulates the entire pathological evil which drives the chicken hawk cowardly warmonger criminals who infest the Republican Party. Republicans are everything they claim they hate and are the antithesis of everything they claim to support.

President Obama announced today that the US would be providing 300 advisors and established JOC (Joint Operation Centers) in Baghdad and Northern Iraq. Additionally, surveillance elements would be dispatched and re-tasked to provide US additional intel on the situation involving the ISIL/ISIS.

The President also declared he would make Congress take the lead in determining a further course of action. Congress, of course, wants nothing to do with Iraq and will demagogue hoping President Obama will choose an official course of action which, either way they can attack as wrong.

The Bush/Cheney Crusade was naught but a massive list of monstrous crimes against Humanity which continue to this day.

The Nations of Iran and Turkey now must turn a large amount of their attention and resources towards containing the violence unleashed by Cheney's Evil.

The continuing Civil War in Syria will create a stable of potential fighters. Additionally, thousands of displaced innocent people are in a humanitarian crisis.

If the Kurdish People begin a push for an independent state, the Turks and the Persians aren't just going to let the areas of their countries slip away. As late as the 1990's the Turkish Government made the Kurdish language, Kurdish names and Kurdish newspapers and radio illegal.

In Iraq, families haven't yet recovered from Bush's War of Lies and now they face a tripartite Civil War, which will eventually end a mess of semi-functioning states. So, the Middle East will be a cauldron of Death and Mayhem. All thanks to the despicable evil humanoid creature Dick Cheney.

Yesterday, President Obama announced that the Ringleader of the Benghazi attacks Ahmed Abu Khatallah has been captured. Here is President Obama's written statement;

The United States has an unwavering commitment to bring to justice those responsible for harming Americans. Since the deadly attacks on our facilities in Benghazi, I have made it a priority to find and bring to justice those responsible for the deaths of four brave Americans. I recently authorized an operation in Libya to detain an individual charged for his role in these attacks, Ahmed Abu Khatallah. The fact that he is now in U.S. custody is a testament to the painstaking efforts of our military, law enforcement, and intelligence personnel. Because of their courage and professionalism, this individual will now face the full weight of the American justice system.

Even as we welcome the success of this operation, we also pause to remember the four Americans who gave their lives in Benghazi representing their country: Ambassador Chris Stevens, Sean Smith, Tyrone Woods, and Glen Doherty. As I said shortly after the attack, they exemplified the values that we stand for as a nation, including a commitment to freedom and justice. All Americans should be grateful for their service, just as we are grateful to all our personnel – civilian and military – who represent our country around the globe. Of course, what they are complaining about is the destruction of their Fake Scandals. Ahmed Abu Khatallah, has stated the attack was in response to the stupidly inflammatory Innocence of Muslims youtube video, as was believed by the CIA at the time and stated by the vilified Susan Rice.

His capture and that statement alone have deflated over a year and a half's worth of lying demagoguery. As the Republicans and conservatives have been building a grand narrative upon the bodies of the 4 dead in Benghazi. Fours Americans whose names they can never remember but, upon whose corpses thousands of right-wingers have constructed an edifice of lies and innuendo, which they fervently hoped and prayed would lead to Impeachment.

Now, Republicans are reduced to pathetic mewling curs, sending out tantrum tweets. Waaaah! The Republicans tweeted! Waaaah! We still have a wholly bullshit Trey Gowdy led Benghazi Panel working! Waaaah! This arrest will undermine all the undermining of the President we've done! Waaaaaah!

Many years ago the mewling punk ass bitch Republicans embarked on a quest to blame all their evil actions upon President Obama. They wanted the Presidency back in order to continue their Agenda to impoverish Americans and Subjugate the Nation to the Will of the Plutocracy

An additional explanation of slow growth is now receiving attention, however. It is the persistence and expectation of peace.

The world just hasn’t had that much warfare lately, at least not by historical standards. Some of the recent headlines about Iraq or South Sudan make our world sound like a very bloody place, but today’s casualties pale in light of the tens of millions of people killed in the two world wars in the first half of the 20th century. Even the Vietnam War had many more deaths than any recent war involving an affluent country.

Counterintuitive though it may sound, the greater peacefulness of the world may make the attainment of higher rates of economic growth less urgent and thus less likely. Rather, the very possibility of war focuses the attention of governments on getting some basic decisions right — whether investing in science or simply liberalizing the economy. Such focus ends up improving a nation’s longer-run prospects.

War is the Health of the State, especially when the Rich run the Government and profit mightily when the Poor are sent of to die. As Cowan points out it's just the poor dying so he doesn't care.

So, Mitt Romney continued at his at his Utah gathering, "I lost the election, but I will continue to fight." Now you have to understand that when Romney talks about fighting he doesn't mean himself or his sons. It means other, less Rich Americans.

George W(orst POTUS Ever) Bush used the Iraq War to funnel Trillions of dollars into the Bank Accounts of the Plutocracy, the super rich and Corporations. His base as he called them. It's another part of the Monstrous Crimes Bush perpetrated which we've lost sight of in recent years and which the American people need to be reminded about. W(orst POTUS Ever), his Republican Guard Dogs, right-wing drones and conservative chicken hawks engaged in a War Crime similar to the Genocide of Native Americans.

Now, President Obama has deployed 170 forces into Baghdad to support the US Embassy, in the old Green Zone. There are an additional 100 waiting in reserve. And apparently there was discussion of inserting Special Forces Operators into the New Iraqi Army to provide support and bolster their flagging morale. Sadly, this has the smell of advisors all over it.

Of course, I'm glad he did it before Republicans Benghazi'ed the President again. For you see Republicans have this nasty habit of undermining the Troops and underfunding security for Agencies and then blaming the President for their despicable misdeeds.

Nonetheless, all across the Conservative Sunday Morning Talk circuit, the Old Architects of the Iraq Debacle were trotted out yet again. Yet again we must watch as the Republican Party Drones and their Conservative Chicken Hawks are allowed to lie about Iraq.

The economy is still in a shambles from the Republican Recession, the Trillions of Dollars wasted in Iraq and Afghanistan and the Billions stolen by the obscene Bush Tax Cuts.

Under Bush and Cheney the top 0.1% got a tax cut of $520,000, 450 times what the middle income taxpayer received. The bottom 20% of Americans only got 1% of the tax cut, a $300 dollars Department of Treasury check. The tax cuts were sold as a way to bring in middle class jobs and rising middle class wages.

Koch Industries and the Exxon/Mobil funded Heritage Foundation rabidly cheered and promoted the Bush Tax Cuts. The Heritage Foundation's 2001 report proclaimed if the Bush tax cut legislation were to pass, it would:

1) Effectively pay off the federal debt;
2) Reduce the federal surplus by $1.4 trillion;
3) Substantially increase family income;
4) Save the entire Social Security surplus;
5) Increase personal savings;
6) Create more job opportunities.

Everyone of those claims was a deliberate lie to sell the tax cuts to the middle class as a job creator and deficit reducer. None of these claims came true because the Plutocracy and their Think Tanks knew they were lies. What did occur was a massive transfer of wealth upwards to the Plutocracy, which were the true goals of the Bush Tax Cuts and part of the Republican plan all along. 

Bush and the Republicans Wars are still costing the Nation. Thousands of American Veterans suffer from PTSD, many of them resort to taking their life, because the Republican Party doesn't care about broken soldiers and hasn't cared since they started the Wars. In total a Million Veterans may require a lifetime of coverage and support which Bush never intended to provide them with and the Republican  Party continually votes against providing.

Torture, the Bush TARP, a Bankers wet dream, wherein another Trillion in American taxpayer funds was grotesquely funneled directly to aid the Rich as a last Bushian Fuck You to the people.

But, you'll be hard pressed to find a conservative who voted for Bush nowadays. They are rarer than Hen's Teeth.

And now, the coup de'grace, the failure of George W(orst President Ever) Bush's Reverse Domino Theory in Iraq.

Two senior Iraqi politicians told Western intelligence that Saddam Hussein had no weapons of mass destruction on the eve of the 2003 invasion – but their warnings were ignored and then not reported to the subsequent Butler inquiry, according to a major new investigation. 

Vital intelligence used to justify the invasion of Iraq 10 years ago was based on "fabrication" and "wishful thinking", the BBC Panorama documentary claims. While information from highly placed Iraqis was dismissed as unimportant if it indicated that Hussein did not have WMD, tip offs from low-ranking Iraqis were eagerly lapped up if they reinforced what George W Bush and Tony Blair wanted to hear, it is claimed.

Hundreds of Thousands dead and at least $5 Trillion lost on the Iraq Debacle based on "intelligence" Tony Blair and MI6 and George W(orst President Ever) Bush and the CIA knew was fabricated while dissenting intelligence was ignored.

As the madness of Benghazi Fever fully inflects the Republican Party, Sinn Fein member Peter King demanded a minute by minute account of President Obama's actions and whereabouts on September 11, 2012. Congressman King expressed his concern the Commander-in-Chief's job while in the Oval Office is to ensure the safety of Americans overseas in potential war zones.

Of course, as everyone knows US History from August 6, 2001 September 11, 2001 to January 19, 2009 did not exist. During that non-time, from listening to Republicans and Faux News, I've learned the following,

"We did not have a terrorist attack on our country during President Bush's term..." - Dana Perino. 

"We inherited the most tragic attack on our own soil in our nation's history," - Mary Matalin. 

"[George Bush] he inherited the negative impact of 9/11," - Sean Hannity  

"What he should be doing is following the right things that Bush did, we had no domestic attacks under Bush," - Rudy Guilani

I think it's time we demand an hour by hour account of what George W. Bush was doing in the White House from when he declared Major Combat Operations over on May 1, 2003 (thanks to Hackwackers for reminding me of that ignoble anniversary) to the end of his White House residency on Jan 19, 2009.

But, I don't know how pages of brush-clearing, bike riding and Heh heh heh Pootie Poot! I could take.

Of course, as is the wont of Republicans they blame everyone else for their failures. Just like when the Bush Administration blamed the US Navy and crew of the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln for the Mission Accomplished banner.

But, with Congressman Trey Gowdy set to chair the Boehner Select Benghazi Committee the Impeachment of President Obama is, most likely, imminent.

"I can’t disclose that evidence yet, but I have evidence that there was a systematic, intentional decision to withhold certain documents from Congress."

Don't expect the Republicans to be doing anything for the next 6 months other than continuously threatening Impeachment.

Iraq was never about Peace, the Reverse-Domino-Theory, (basically that standing up a domino of Democracy in Iraq would magically stand up dominos of Democracy in other Middle East Nations) propagated by lead from the rear War Proponents was a thin veneer to cover their true goals which was a plan to steal Trillions of Dollars from the US taxpayers while also opening up Iraqs Oil Reserves for theft by Anglo-American Oil Conglomerates.

So, now what? Flabby-assed Republicans will try and run the 'Liberals are bad at war while Republicans are macho he-men'. 

While Bloody Bill Kristol, Just Six More Months Thomas Friedman, Charles Krauthammer, Jason Mattera, Ben Ferguson, Matthew Continetti, Chris Vucovich or the College Republican Chicken Hawks never saw a War that they didn't want some other American to fight. Including a Return to Iraq...

I'm certain any day now Senator Rand Paul is going to stage a "brilliant" Filibuster. Surely, Senator Lindsay Graham will place a hold on the business of the Senate until he gets some answers.

Anyone clamoring to Fix-The-Debt or suddenly scared of Government spending do you want to know where the Deficit came from? Well, it was born in Bush's Brain and Dick Cheney's Heart and grew up in the Iraqi Desert.

And how are we going to fix this problem? Why on the backs of the Middle and Working Class. This is going to steal Trillions from 6 generations of Americans.

Republicans and all the squishy Democrats who are the Guardians of the Rich aren't content with just the money they've all ready swindled via Iraq, no now they are going to confiscate from future and past generations with fancy terms like: Chained CPI, Sequestration and the Grand Bargain which is nothing more than the Rich stealing Social Security.

But, worse than the Trillions of Tax Payer dollars stolen by Bush and Cheney and they Enablers is the human factor. The daily suicides by Veterans, the broken parents of those sacrificed to the War, and the millions of future irritations, family squabbles, and days of pain which will be felt and probably not understood for Generations.

***- "We don't do body counts." The actual amount spent on the War and the DoD during Bush's Presidency and the first two years of Obama's won't reflect all the costs.

Conservatives have been declaring the Iraq War Over for years. When they thought it benefited them. Now, that the President is named Obama the Right has flip-flopped to calling the Iraq War "Lost".

Of course, it mainly stems from the alternate history the modern conservative movement has adopted. History is malleable to Right, if it's convenient to ignore the entire George W. Bush Presidency, the Right has shown themselves up to the task!

The Iraq "War" is over, finally. It was of no benefit to the US. It wasn't worth $1 let alone One Life! But, it was priceless for the Republicons.

The Republican Party used the War to win elections. That's the only winning the GOP ever really cared about. Even now Michele Bachmann and Rick Santorum lament the loss of the war because they think it can help Republicans in 2012.

The GOP are the same as Saddam's Iraqi Republican Guard. They used War and violence to quell domestic dissent and steal Trillions of dollars from the American People. Because (Blackwater)(Xe)(Academi), Halliburton, Boeing, and the hundreds of Welfare DoD connected Corporations are the only ones who really benefited from this shameful debacle.

Mitt Romney and the Republicans are equivalent to Saddam's Republican Guard

Democratic Illinois Senator Dick Durbin tried to pass an Amendment to S. 1867 the National Defense Authorization Act for fiscal year 2012. The Amendment was defeated 38-60. The Amendment was to stop the bill's proposal to declare the United States a battleground in the Phony GWoT. 43 Republicans voted against the Amendment. That is they voted to keep the language in the Bill which allows the US military to indefinitely detain suspected Al Qaeda members and anyone else the Government deems an "enemy combatant".

And here you thought the Bush/Cheney Torture/Extraordinary Rendition/With-Us-Or-Against-Us language would only apply to them damn Terrorists.

Too bad you didn't listen to the Leftists and Anti-War crowd when they raised the alarm about the most corrupt, most anti-American Administration and then choose to blame it on the black guy. The Republican Party is equivalent to Saddam Hussein's Republican Guard. Only 2 Republican Senators, Mark Kirk and Rand Paul, chose to stand for the US Constitution and Freedom.

What's next in the Republican Plan of Attack; a Bill entitled House-a-Soldier in Your Home to help offset the Budgetary costs of the DoD?

Because that's what Mitt Romney advocated in a speech less than a month ago. Romney declared he would eliminate Medicaid;

"And I would apply the $600 billion [in cuts] that were anticipated being imposed upon the military, I would take those and apply them to other parts of the federal budget. One of them, of course, would be to take something like Medicaid, which is our health care program for the poor, and return that program to the states."

Of course, now we can see why the Republicans are in favor of declaring the United States a war zone. After they steal Social Security, eliminate health care for the poor, stop funding Pell Grants, and impose Slavery Measures err... "Austerity" Measures on the American People they are going to need the military to quell the Domestic disturbances they are engendering.

Of course, even if the Republican Plan to use the US Military to quell Domestic disturbances falls through Blackwater (Xe) and Erik Prince have made it clear they will eliminate Democratic Opposition to the Republican Guard. Erik Prince, now hailing from parts unknown, let it be known he would "eliminate" Jan Schakowsky for her daring to question his Mercenary Army and the Billions Blackwater stole through no-bid contracts pushed through by the Bush/Cheney Presidency.

So, get used to America. The Plutocracy wants the Middle Class destroyed and the Republicans are the just like Saddam Hussein's Republican Guard ready, willing, and able to accomplish the mission.
