Hodgepodge

Welcome back to the Wednesday Hodgepodge! Be sure to add your link to the bottom of Joyce's post and then go visit the neighbors. After all, that's part of the fun!

1.  So, do you like beer? I like beer in the summertime. I have been known to even drink two beers if it's really hot out. In the cooler months - not at all.

2.  What's your least favorite repetitive task? Repetitive? Does ironing count? If not, I'd say pitting cherries.

3.  When was the last time you rode a bus?  Where was it headed? I can't remember the last time I was on a bus.

4.  What song from your childhood or from your own children's childhood could make a parent's nerves stand on end? The Barney song! I have to admit that I was a "bad" mother - Barney was not allowed in my house. I simply couldn't take it.

5.  The US Presidential election cycle is drawing to a close (can I get an AMEN??), and the third and final debate was held last night...what was the last thing you 'debated about'? I like a good debate - the last one was probably about the kitchen remodel and how much of the existing paneling needs to come off. I say just one wall, Biz wants to get rid of it all. Guess who's going to win that one!

6.  Can a person make too much money?  How much is too much? I don't know - I've never been in a position to make too much - I've always dreamed of getting a paycheck and knowing that I could do anything I wanted to do with it. Sadly, that has never happened.

7.  Pop-soda-coke-something else...what's it called where you live? Coke.

8.  Insert your own random thought here. The days are getting shorter. It's dark when I come to work and it's dark soon after I get home. I know the amount of hours is the same but it just seems like there isn't any time to do anything at night. Thanksgiving will be here if just a few weeks and then Christmas! I am SO NOT READY!

  1. The end of the year always flies by and I am so happy about that! After this year, I only have two more of taking the expensive ($500/month) pills to keep the cancer away. Fortunately, my health insurance covers half the year's supply at least.

  3. We have been debating a landscaping project...I'm not ready to deal with all the aggravation. I've barely recovered from the patio build last year : )

  4. It's funny how many of us picked the Barney song...'bout drove me crazy! I love to iron...I find it relaxing, oddly enough.

  5. I've never made a lot of money either but have always dreamed of getting a great big check and having nothing to HAVE to use it for. I guess God doesn't want me to have that so I continue to work. I love the end of the year because it means that the daylight gets longer then.

  6. My oldest son has his first apartment and full-time job. He said to me the other day, "Mom, why do I never have any money to so what I want with? Is it always like this?" Tough lesson to learn, eh?

  8. I never even thought about ironing! Of course, I don't do much of it these days, but I hated it back in the day!

I, too, miss the daylight hours of summer...and I'm NOT ready for the holidays to arrive!
