New doco about old geezers who still play/believe in punk music

Here's a teaser trailer for a brand new documentary film called VIVE LE PUNK which is about a handful of ancient (very ancient) UK punk bands, Sham 69, 999, Ruts DC and The Boys, and their stance on punk these days. It looks great.

The uploader of the trailer is (I believe) the company behind the film.

Their info on YouTube:

50 years after the British Punk explosion, this documentary follows four bands that are still active today (Sham 69, 999, Ruts DC, and The Boys) and features interviews with Charlie Harper, Joe Corre, Dr. John Cooper Clarke, Gaye Advert, and other Punk Rock luminaries in search of the meaning of Punk and the relevance of its message today.

LYDIA LUNCH on Women of Rock Oral History Project (11.11.2019)

Lydia Lunch talking about who the fuck she is on the "Women of Rock Oral History Project" channel in 2019. For 70 minutes! This is great!

ENTER THE DEVIL (usa, 1972)

True grindhouse print!

SWV's dvd-r release of ENTER THE DEVIL (unfortunately
this low-res upload of the cover was all I could find)

Devil worship, chanting and the ol'e well tried sacrificing of hot Mexican women in the Texan hinterland (TCM territory!). I've been watching Something Weird Videos' (although they now omit "video" from their name) grindhouse print of ENTER THE DEVIL (dir: Frank Q. Dobbs) via Cultpix (a joint streaming service set up by the good people behind the label Klubb Super 8 in Sweden, and now with SWV as one of their partners). Open matte and more colourful than the Blu-ray print from Massacre Video (which I was able to check as somebody has uploaded it to DailyMotion). I was fully entertained.

Here's a link to the trailer on the Cultpix/SWV streaming site (subscription not needed for the trailer)

Ya wan hot latino wooman wit da beer, gringo?

PS: And welcome to 2026! Mein gott, it's been 8 or 9 months already since my last post - I haven't posted anything since October! This place is DYING, haha. Maybe time to revive it. Or not. Does anybody read film and pop-culture blogs anymore anyway!?
