Treat bags and Taylored Expressions

Hi everyone, I can't believe it's my 3rd and final month to guest design for Taylored Expressions.  I sure am going to be sad when this month ends.

I LOVE working with TE  and the team.
This month I got to play with:

Franks candy is GOOOOD!!

The first card is just bursting at the seams with candy corn!! I also created the border with the stitching stamp. I coloured the little Frank image and cut him out to adhere him to the inside of the (after I stamped the sentiment)
For this card I used the muffin stamp and heavily embellished it with sequins die cut stars and charcoal twine.  The cut out star was created by cutting the small star then centering a larger star over the empty star space and die cutting again.
This guy was really fun to make since I love cupcakes and so does he.  I drew the little pumpkin face on his t-shirt  with a black Copic multi liner. The pattern papers are from a Halloween theme Project Life pack.
Materials

Copic Markers
Charcoal twine- The Twinery

trick or treat :)

A few months ago there was a design team call that I just knew I had to be on,  The only snag was that you had to use their products  when submitting and the only supplies I could find was a scrapbook kit.  Personally I find the patterns on scrapbook paper to large for cardmaking but I wanted to make this team so I purchased a kit and gave it my shot.  I have to admit it was my first ever kit and I LOVED using it.  It seemed I could find a place for everything. I honestly couldn't stop till I ran out of supplies (stickers) or ones I wanted to use anyway :)
here are the card samples I submitted for the DT application.  BTW I didn't make the team :(  BUT that's OK I know something else will come along.

To Cute to Spook

I have a card to share today that using one of my favorite digi images.  This is Little Witch from Whimsie Doodles and I think she's just adorable with her wind blown hair and gypsy like dress.
I really wanted to keep this card as simple as I can, so I printed, coloured and cropped around image slightly smaller than the card face to give it a framed looked.
Then I added a simple shadow to ground the image (so she didn't look like she was floating) and stamped a sentiment.

Materials
Little Witch Digi-Whimsie Doodles
White Gel Pen- Uni-Ball (to add stripes and polka dots)
Chalk-Pebbles Inc (to blush the cheeks)

Never Ending Hootenannies :)

Well it's been a while since I posted anything. I can't believe what little time I have to make cards. :(
Today however I made time to make this card.  It's called a never ending card and it's so fun to make that I made a Thanksgiving and Halloween Version.  The Halloween card features Halloween Hootenannies and Halloween Sentiments 2 digi stamps from Whimsie Doodles.
* Before printing the Hootenannies I resized them to fit the small 3x3 squares of this card.

Best Foot Forward

Hi all!  I have two Halloween cards to share with you using the same digi Lizzie Flying Witch and paper Haunted Hallows by Teresa Collins, the same dies Clouds by Memory Box and Moons from circle punches.
The first card I used a 3" punch with yellow cardstock and punched a half 2" circle out of it to make the moon.
To give it some dept I tucked a cloud behind the moon and one in front.
For this card I used smaller circle punches.  I also used Reverse Wonky Dies from Spellbinders for the background.  Then I added a few drops of Copic Grey W5,W3,W1 onto Q-Tips to make a cloudy dark sky.

Frightfully Spooky Halloween

The other day I was surfing the net and came across a halloween scene image.  I immediately thought I could make that with Torico's new "Bugs and Hisses" stamp set from There She Goes Stamps.  So I set out to give it a try.  I even remembered to take a couple photos of the process.

Step 1: Cut hill shapes from Post It Notes. Lightly trace the hill shapes in pencil.
Step 2: Lay your acrylic block on top of the hill and bend the fence to fit the shape.
Step 3: Stamp the fence around both hills.  Gradually stamp the fence lower until it disappears.
Step 4: Stamp the trees and head stones.  Trace the lines with a Copic Multiliner then erase the pencil lines.
Step 5: Colour the hill closest to you the darkest and the one farthest away the lightest.
Step 6: Punch a circle from a Post It Note and place on image.
Step 7: Use Various Ink Refills to drop grey ink onto Q-Tip. (cotton swab)
Step 8: Create clouds by moving Q-Tip side to side with W3.
 Step 9: Repeat step 8 using W5.
Step 10: Cover sky with W1.  Blend into the clouds.
Step 11: Remove Post It "moon"
Step 12: Use Y35 and make a half moon shape at the moon's bottom.
Step 13.  Add YR14 over the half moon shape.
Step 14: Add YR12 around the moon
Step 15: Colour over the entire moon with Y32.
Step 16: Stamp bats and add shadows.

Step 17: Trim scene, stamp sentiment and mat onto card.
I sponged around the edges with black ink.
