Paisley's Birthday Party

Our weekend started off on Friday by getting ready for Paisley's party and taking her to her 1 year check up. She now weighs 24 lbs. and is still 30 inches tall. She is healthy and we are thankful for that! She now has 9 teeth-4 top front, 3 bottom front, and one molar on the top and one on the bottom. Then on Saturday we had her party. She woke up with a runny nose on Saturday and I'm not sure if it's a cold or teething. We'll see. Hayley helped me with the whole party and she did a great job. It was adorable!!! and the food was delicious! We decided not to do a cake but to make a ladybug centerpiece out of rice krispy treats and then have cupcakes around it. We also had ice cream, pumpkin, and lemon meringue pies. For lunch, we had chicken salad sandwiches (on croissants), fruit with dip, veggies with ranch, sunchips, and a yummy salad. I made a DVD slideshow of her first year and played it for everyone. It was a little long, but I had so many pictures, I couldn't narrow it down any further lol Then she opened her presents. She got a lot of wonderful gifts. Thank you everyone for coming and the gifts..she is playing with all of her new toys right now and she will be wearing her new clothes and reading her books soon!!

Paisley is 1!!

Today was Paisley's 1st birthday and let's just say I was emotional this morning lol It's weird...I'm excited and happy that she's getting older but yet I was sad that she's growing up so fast! She is just the cutest little thing. She is now walking, thanks to Aunt Rach, but still crawls more. She loves drinking from cups, water bottles, and her sippy cup with a straw. She has been saying out lately but I don't know if she knows what she's saying lol It's cute though because she totally pronounces the "t" at the end. and she sounds like a Canadian because she says it more like oowt (if that makes sense lol). She got her first real taste of candy at Halloween and she loves candy...chocolate. She is still a little spitfire and I love it! I love how she has her own personality and she know what she wants. It's so cool to see how she now brings me her container with snacks in it because she understands that she is hungry and if she brings it to me, I'll give her some. It's amazing how much she has grown and learned in this past year. She has the cutest smile! I love her round face with chubby cheeks...which she'll never lose. She was born small but with chubby cheeks like her mom's :) We just moved her to her own crib in her own room last week. It was hard but I'm glad we did it...it was about time lol We also switched her to whole milk a week ago and she is doing well with it. Chris loves it too, because 1. it's cheaper and 2. he loves whole milk so he gets to drink it too lol. Oh and she also got a new carseat last week. yay! Her party is on Saturday, but we also celebrated today by going to Apple Hill and then having dinner at my parent's.

Happy Halloween!!

We had everyone over to our house for Halloween tonight and I think we all had a lot of fun...we missed Sarah, Scott, Rachel and Trent, Brad and his girls, and Jenn and Ray and their family though!!! Paisley was a ladybug and she looked adorable! We had lots of yummy food so Chris and I are now sitting here feeling sick lol but I guess that's what Halloween is all about! Paisley is busy!!

Paisley is into and on everything!! She climbs on everything. Yesterday she tried to climb the back of a chair in church but we had to stop her otherwise she would've fallen backwards. At my mom's house she climbs all over the teeter totter (that I got when I was a kid :) )She climbs on and off of it and it keeps her entertained for a while. She also loves sitting on anything, so she loves climbing onto it and just sitting there talking to everybody (although we don't know what

she's saying lol)

Pumpkin Carving Party

Last Wednesday night my family, some of Chris' family, and Ashley's in-laws had a pumpkin carving party. It was a lot of fun. We had pizza, salad, cookies, brownies, soda, and water. Ashley and I put the party together in 1 day and were actually very impressed with ourselves lol. We decided that it will be an annual thing! ..and now we're going to have a gingerbread house party for our families...maybe jenn and ray and their kids and possibly Rachel and Trent will be here?!?! Anyway, here are some pictures. Mine was too small to use a design so I just free handed a jack o lantern face lol and Chris tried to make the allstate hands but it didn't work out so he ended up with a big hole. Next year we're going to do it a couple days before Halloween though because our pumpkins rotted already lol

...miss this guy so much! We love you Chris!!

He's in Chicago training for Allstate!! But luckily we got to spend a night together before he left for almost a week (the longest we've been away from each other in our 2 years of marriage!) We went to Great America's Halloween Haunt on Friday night with some of Chris' family and it was so fun. The park was basically empty..we walked right onto every ride!! My mom took care of Paisley overnight so we got to sleep in a bit and then I took him to the airport.

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch today with my mom, sarah, emmalee, pam, ashley, scotty b, susan, diana (ashley's mother-in-law), her daughters betty, alexis, anna, shannon and her son connor, and jackie and a few of her friends. It was really fun. The kids loved it. Aunt Sarah took Paisley down a big slide...without asking me first lol That's Sarah for ya! scary! We looked at the crafts, went on a hay ride, looked at the animals and pumpkins, and the kids played. Oh and Paisley was in her Halloween shirt...she had a pumpkin bib too! Next Ashley and I are planning a pumpkin carving party for our families!
