Viva Las Vegas

Wednesday afternoon Paisley and I left to go to Vegas with Ashley, Scotty B, Susan and Leah (Chris' grandma) to see some of Chris' relatives. His cousin just had a baby boy 5 weeks ago so of course Leah wanted to see her newest great grandchild. On Thursday we shopping. Our first stop was Bass Pro Shops (chris was very jealous!) and then the outlets :) That night we had cafe rio for dinner (yum!) and then frozen custard for dessert (I had never had it before...it was so creamy and delicious!). Friday we went to a buffet for Breakfast and then headed to the airport. Paisley loved the buffet. She seriously ate more than me!! We discovered that she loves pancakes there. I'm liking being able to feed Paisley real food. It's so easy to just give her some of what's on my plate! It was a short trip but it was fun. Chris' relatives were so nice and welcoming!

p.s.

I just e-mailed her doctor and of course she says that she doesn't recommend it just in case Paisley bites her toes and ingests the polish...great! (I kinda already knew that but I really wanted to paint them) I guess I'll take it off, but I have to leave it on for the family to see today lol I'll make sure her toes don't go near her mouth until then :(

painted toes

So I've wanted to paint Paisley's toe nails for a while now but I was always afraid that she would suck on her toes and eat the paint. Plus, I didn't even know if it was safe to paint a baby's toenails (I still don't...so if anyone knows if it's really bad for them let me know asap so I can take it off lol) She doesn't really suck her toes anymore so I decided the chances of her eating it would be pretty slim and I just painted them. I think they look cute but I'm still worried that it's like harmful to even have it on her nails..? Let me know what you think/know please!

close up
Ignore my feet...they're so gross, I need a pedicure! But, we have matching toenails os I had to take a picture!

Air Show

Today was the air show at Mather Air Force Base, which just happens to be behind our house!! We had our families over and had lots of food. It was tons of fun! Wish we had the Barker's, The Lindsay's and Jonny with us though!!! The planes were so loud but they were so cool. I wasn't expecting to like the show that well but I actually did! My dad used to be a pilot in the Air Force so he was in heaven today!! lol He knew everything about the planes so it was neat to hear all of the stats and stuff. We were a little worried about the weather because it was supposed to be hot...like 90's but we woke up to cloudy weather and a few light showers so it didn't even get hot until 3ish...perfect! I think everyone agreed that this is now going to be a tradition! :)

This morning...so cute!
she kinda looks freaky in this picture...her eyes are open really wide lol but it's still cute
look how close they fly next to each other! crazy!!
They all turn together and it looks like they're going to hit but they don't!

10 months old!!

Paisley is now a little over 10 months old. She is a little spitfire. She now weighs 23 lbs and 5 oz and is 29 inches long. She is all over the place. Crawling, walking around furniture, climbing everything!! I think I have a busy baby on my hands. Oh and she climbs up stairs with no second thought and then tries to go down but hasn't quite gotten the right concept for that lol kinda scary! She is always "talking" (baby talk...baba, dada, mama, lala, hi, and whatever other sounds she feels like making). She now has 6 teeth...the top 4 and bottom 2. Her hair is growing more and more and she is looking older to me. I can't believe she'll be one year old in less than two months!! She is also a sweetheart and definitely loves her daddy! He puts her to sleep every night still and he has the magic touch...usually it's the moms but I have to say Chris has just as much magic touch as me most of the time! She has stood up a few times for 5-10 seconds by herself and is needing less help standing. She likes to find anything on the floor and eat it...she has now eaten (well, sucked on, I got them all out before she could swallow) cat food twice, a piece of onion, carpet, paper, and lots of other random things you find on a floor lol. She still LOVES skyping with Aunt Rach...she gets so excited and it is pretty much the only time she sits still for longer than 10 seconds (other than when she has her bottles). ok, I'm trying to think of other fun facts about Paisley but I'm tired. So here are some pictures!!

10 months and a few days old
The cutest pj's ever I think!!! I saw them today and had to get them. It was a set of two at Target for $12!!
This is tonight...they are size 18 months...she's my chubby baby!! and I love it :) Although her weight gain has slowed down so I'm thinking these should last her a good majority of Winter.

2 years already!!

Tuesday was our 2 year anniversary. We celebrated it last weekend though. We had my mom watch Paisley overnight on Friday so we got to sleep in and enjoy each other :) We just went to dinner on Friday night and then came home and watched a lifetime movie. Then we went out to breakfast on Saturday morning and then to Nordstrom Rack (not for very long though...Chris can't handle shopping for more than oh, ten minutes lol) and then to the movies (All about Steve is a rental btw), and then to Leatherbys :) and then to the State Fair for Blake Shelton concert. It was a fun day. Oh except our battery in our car died. Chris had forgotten our coupon for the state fair so we went back home to get it and we pulled up to our house (the wrong way) andChris ran in to get it. He came back but and it wouldn't start! Our neighbor in our ward drove by and tried to jump start our car but it was completely dead and wouldn't start. Perfect! So our friend pushed out car back a bit so it wouldn't be blocking our driveway. We had to take Chris' work truck. So we go and do all of our stuff and when we get home we have a ticket on our car windshield for being parked the wrong way!! Nice, huh? lol

Chris and me at the Fair

The reason for our ticket lol
And this was on our actual anniversary...I forgot to take a picture until we were all ready for bed so here it is...not the prettiest of me but whatever, like I care anymore! lol On Tuesday we were supposed to go to dinner and then to the Temple but I surprised Chris by making him enchiladas and Grandma Crandall's homemade cornbread recipe (the best), with caesar salad (He loved it, it's his favorite meal I'd have to say!) and then he got a job in so we didn't end up going to the Temple, so we still need to go!!
Happy Anniversary honey...I love you!!!

Backyard

Chris and his dad (probably more so his dad lol thank you Kent!!) have been working hard on getting our backyard done. They're putting in the sprinkler system so we can get grass and concrete in! Anyway, here is a picture of how dirty Chris' legs got from working out there! ew!

Cake!

With Paisley's 1st birthday coming up (well in two months lol) I'm starting to think about her cake. If you know my mom you know that she never uses boxed cakes for anything, and I guess I'm following in her footsteps (for the most part...I use the box cakes sometimes). Anyway, I am looking for a really yummy white or yellow cake recipe. I already have the best chocolate one but I want a light colored cake because I'm dying it red and putting black sprinkles in it to match her ladybug theme! Anywho, yeah if you have a good recipe please post it for me. Thanks! :)

Boating

Saturday we went boating with Chris' family, some of his cousins, the Carter's and my mom and Emmalee. It was tons of fun!! But I only got one picture lol We went tubing, rode the jet skis, and ate yummy treats all day. Then we went to pizza afterwards (tradition). It was a long day but we enjoyed ourselves!

Leatherbys

Friday night we went to Leatherbys with Aunt Pam and we gave Paisley some of our ice cream and she loved it!! I thought she was going to jump out of the high chair if we didn't give her more right away lol She's growing up so fast!!

Reaching for more ice cream
licking her lips lol
We were changing her and she rolled over like this...guess she was tired! lol
