Another fun thing Shaylin got to start recently was the Tiny Tot Sports Class that the city puts on two times a year. They teach kids the basics of soccer, t-ball, and basketball. She was having a hard time keeping pre-school and tiny tot sports straight before she started them both during the same week but she was excited for them nonetheless. She had such a fun time learning about soccer during her first class. Her teacher definitely wore the kids out by having them run up and down the big field multiple times, playing red light-green light and also kicking the soccer ball back and forth across the field. It is also fun because Jayna knows the teacher from a while back when the teacher was in her parents ward in Ahwatukee.
Here is Shaylin running with her friend Anthony...(We purposely scheduled the class with a bunch of friends from the ward so that she'd be in the class with some of her friends, which she loves!)
Shaylin standing and listening to her teacher. Her friend Josie is on the right of her.
She was so cute throughout the class, because she would stop and wave to me (Jayna) and give me a big smile. She was glad to know I was watching her and seeing what a great job she was doing.
Here's the drill where her teacher rolled her the ball and she had to step on it with her foot to stop it.
This is what Emmalyn does every class. I am so lucky that she doesn't mind sitting in the stroller and watching all the kids run around. She also gets to hang out with her friend Adrian (Anthony's little brother). Adrian is so nice and shares his snacks with her also, which makes it easier for her to stay happy in the stroller. Thanks Meagan for always bringing snacks and sharing them with my kids! :0)
An action shot of Shaylin at her 2nd week of soccer...I forgot to also mention how excited she was to finally wear her knew tennis shoes that she got. We will have to do another post later with pictures of her playing t-ball and basketball.
