...to you!

Today's card features a Penny Black stamp called '...to you!'. I stamped it on to watercolour paper, then coloured it using watercolour pencils. I added some strips of washi tape across the centre of a kraft card blank, then added the image on top using 3D foam pads.

Pandora

I have a simple Valentine's card to share today...featuring an adorable Whipper Snapper Designs image called 'Pandora', which I coloured using watercolour pencils. For the background, I added strips of heart covered washi tape (which I think came from Freckled Fawn) to a snippet of plain white card.

Puppy Birthday!

I'm sneaking on before bed with a simple little birthday card...I do still have a couple more Easter treat bags to share, but I'd show you something else today. I used another stamp from the new 'Good Times!' set by Penny Black which I coloured using watercolour pencils. I added some strips of washi tape, with a Hero Arts sentiment underneath (from the 'Anytime Messages' set).

Birthday Buddies

I have a simple little card to share today using stamps from a new stamp set called 'Birthday Buddies'. I did a bit of masking to fit all of the critters on, then coloured them using watercolour pencils. I added some strips of washi tape along the top and bottom edges of my card base before mounting the stamped panel on top using 3D foam pads. The sentiment stamp is from the same stamp set.

Pile It On! Challenge - Fantasy

It's the first Sunday of the month, so that means that we have a fun new Pile It On! Challenge starting today...and the theme this month is:

'Fantasy'

Our sponsor for this challenge is Sasayaki Glitter Digital Stamps
Sponsorship Badge
Prize - a digi image of the winner's choice

I'm decidedly lacking in 'fantasy' images...but did find this Hambo Stamps monster in my image box...he's called 'Monster Sax'. I coloured him using watercolour pencils, then carefully cut him out. I added a couple of pieces of musical washi tape (from Freckled Fawn) on to my card blank, then used some snippets of 'Awesome Boy' papers (by Recollections/Michaels) to create a background for the monster. I distressed the edges a little, then adding some faux stitching using my CutterBee Bug and a black gel pen. The sentiment stamp is from the 'Fabulous Birthday' set by Hero Arts.

Here are the challenges I've piled on:

Birthday Dog with Washi

I have another 'Birthday Dog' card to share today...this time a more CAS number featuring some fun washi tape (from Dovecraft & Freckled Fawn). I coloured the image using watercolour pencils, then doodled a simple border using a black gel pen...adding a couple of strips of washi tape bunting. I placed a couple of strips of the stripey washi tape on to my kraft card blank, then popped the image panel on top using 3D foam tape. The sentiment is from the 'Anytime Messages' set by Hero Arts...I didn't centre it very well, so added the exclamation marks using a black gel pen to even it out.

Froggy Cheats

I have a couple of really quick cards to share today. Inspired by this week's 'Stickers' challenge over at Less is More, I hunted out an old sheet of Penny Black Stickeroos called 'Pond-side Celebrations'. I stuck the frog stickers on to some scraps of white card, then carefully cut around them, then mounted them on to my cards using 3D foam. I found some washi tapes in co-ordinating colours, and simply added a few strips behind the images, and stamped sentiments from the 'Anytime Messages' set by Hero Arts.

Challenges for these cards:
  • As You Like It - Favourite Shaped Card Base (Tent-folded A6...I used to be all about square cards, but I've come back to this size/shape of card (which I used lots when I first started card-making) recently...I think I find the 'white space' less intimidating on this shape when I make CAS cards!)
  • Less is More - Stickers/Sticky Labels/Peel Offs
  • Little Red Wagon - Happy Birthday
  • Seize the Birthday - Anything Birthday
  • Through the Craft Room Door - Anything Goes

Sanford the Birthday Boy!

I have a card using another of the Stamping Bella stamps I picked up recently as part of a prize...this cutie is 'Sanford the Birthday Boy Stuffie'. I coloured the image using my trusty watercolour pencils, then added a pierced border using my CutterBee Bug. I placed a couple of strips of washi tape (from Freckled Fawn) on my card blank, then added the image panel over the top popped up on some 3D foam pads. The sentiment stamp came in a set with the image.

Happy Birthday Mum!

It was my Mum's birthday on Wednesday, so it's now safe to blog her card...and gift wrap etc...
I made a matching set using some cute little puppy stamps from the Penny Black 'Man's Best Friend' set. I coloured them all using watercolour pencils, then fussy cut them all out. I decided to use kraft card for the card base, and stamped panels of card with the little paw print stamp that comes in the set in various colours of Distress Inks (Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, Seedless Preserves, Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers, Lucky Clover). I edged the card and tag bases with some stripey washi tape (from Freckled Fawn), then stamped sentiments from various sets (Paula Pascual 'Big Messages', Simon Says Stamp 'Sending Sunshine' and Clearly Besotted 'You & I'). I cut circular apertures in the paw print panels, so that the sentiments would peek through, then mounted them on 3D foam. Then I added the little pups leaping around all of the apertures.

Here's her card:

This is a little matching giftcard holder:

And her present...I wrap all my gifts in brown paper...then added some of the washi tape, and tied the tag on using some multicolour twine:

I have a quick and simple card to share today...I made it a couple of weeks ago along with this card using the same layout. The image is 'Toby with Flowers' by Wild Rose Studio, which I coloured using watercolour pencils then fussy cut out. Doggone Sweet!

I have a set of three 'doggy' cards to share today...using a cling stamp set from Penny Black called 'Doggone Sweet'...co cute! The cards are all really simple, using the same design...I embossed the bottom portion of each card using my 'Paw Print & Bone' embossing folder by Crafts Too, then added  strip of Washi tape (a mixture of Freckled Fawn, Hobbycraft & Papermania). I coloured the dogs using watercolour pencils, then carefully cut them out, popping them up on the cards on 3D foam pads. I added a sentiment stamped inside a 'speech bubble' cut using Sizzix Thinlit die.

And all three cards together:

ABC Christmas Challenge - L is for...

I have another card...well, cards actually...for our current ABC Christmas Challenge, where the theme is:

'L is for Lyrics'
(Make a card inspired by the lyrics of a Christmas carol/song)

Our sponsor for this challenge is Freckled Fawn
Prize - $15 Gift Card!

I was very generously sent some goodies to play with by Freckled Fawn...and I picked out some cute little wooden birds and musical notes (from the 'Wood Chips - Birds' set)...and took my inspiration from 'The Twelve Days of Christmas - Two Turtle Doves'. I coated the birds and notes with Versamark Ink, them heat embossed them using gold powder. I used tiny little kraft A7 card blanks (from Hobbycraft)...adding a strip of washi tape for the birds to stand on, and a Lili of the Valley sentiment.

Here's a better look at one of the cards;

I picked a Penny Black stamp called 'Carollers'...I took my inspiration from 'The 12 Days of Christmas'...these are the '3 French Hens' ha ha! I simply added a few strips of musical washi tape from Freckled Fawn as a background.
