WE TRICKED AND WE TREATED ..........

Actually, we just walked around the streets for a couple of hours and there wasn't a lot of tricking going on  !!!  I was given the job of carving three pumpkins which I was very proud of considering I only had about an hour ! 

So many people dressed up and the houses looked brilliant .....

One guy opens his garage and really goes to town ..... fantastically decorated for charity and, even better, at the back he has a bar !!!

I was never he biggest fan of Halloween as I feel Guy Fawkes is our thing but, I'm really warming to it !!!!

HALLOWEEN AFTERMATH ……….

How was your Halloween evening ? I have always been a bit of a misery when it comes to Halloween and never wanted to buy into the Americanisation of it all … Guy Fawkes night is our tradition. But, over the past few years I have bit the bullet and joined in…. after all,  it does have Pagan roots and is thought to have been influenced by folk customs and beliefs of Celtic speaking countries.

Every year, we get more and more children knocking on the door and, so far, they are always polite, have gone to a great deal of trouble to dress up and are always very excited to receive some sweets and a bit of small change.

Who am I to spoil their fun ?!!!!

Guy Fawkes night next, then it's Christmas !!!!!!!!!!!!

It's that time of year again.......... .......... when we get ready for those cheeky little trick or treaters and have scrummy treats ready on the hall table ..........
.......... and wonderful Halloween dinners for family and friends ..........

.......... with wonderful things to eat and drink ..........

.......... and decorate our houses..... inside and out ..........

.......... and dress the children in original outfits, that are either fun....or embarrassing .........

.......... and dress ourselves up in our own Halloween outfits ..........

.......... and have terrific parties ..........

.......... and drink scary wine ..........

.......... and eat scary food ..........

.......... and scary cupcakes ..........but .......... I'm just lulling you all into a false sense of security because ..........

.......... it's really all about scary stuff, things that are hiding in corners ..........

.......... or under the stairs ..........

.......... or in darkened rooms ..........

.......... on buses ..........

.......... in your bedroom ..........

.......... in corridors ..........

.......... on your eyeball !!!!!!!!!! ..........

.......... and they want your blood ..........

.......... Shreiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick..........

HALLOWEEN CELEBRATION at HARRINGTON MANOR..........

I have been invited to a Halloween Celebration by Sophia over at Blue Chair Diary
This is my party outfit....what do you think ? ..... I love it. The crows came as an accessory, with the dress. !!!! The party is at Harrington Manor, tonight,and there is to be food, drink, guest appearances and a contest for the best dressed guest.

These are my new shoes and I have had bat tattoos done, especially for the occasion.

I always keep my special potion in my handbag, just in case ..........

My three sisters will be coming too.....they wouldn't miss a Halloween party, but , the best part of all .......... Vanessa Paradis has allowed Johnny to accompany me !!!!

I've brought you a present of skulls and bones as I know how much you like to make potions and spells and these things are so hard to come by. Just make sure that I leave before it starts to get light or ....................
