Abaddon Unleashed!

Abaddon may be my favorite named character in the game. He's an IC, he is tough, durable, and can be just absolutely ridiculous in the assault phase, able to go toe to toe with just about anything in the game. The problem is, his model doesn't do him justice. No, let me rephrase that - His model is absolutely terrible.

So years ago when I scored the deal of the century and payed 130 bucks on eBay for an entire Nurgle army (50+ Plague Marines!!), I decided to make my own. At that time, I was wanting to stay pure Nurgle, so I took my Typhus model and created one of my favorite retarded ideas to date - Typhusbaddon.

Typhusbaddon - Born of Necessity, Beer, and Boredom

Yes the almighty Typhusbaddon saw many a tournament, game night, victory and ass whoopin. As my Chaos horde began to grow, however, being "pure Nurgle" began to become less important. I had already phased out my Nurglezerkers (don't ask), and Typhusbaddon's run was coming to an end.

So I picked up a terminator lord/sorcerer kit, and ordered a Skulltaker model from which to procure a suitable weapon from which to make the mighty Drach'nyen. I have had him assembled for over a year, but just now finished painting him. So here he is, the Warmaster himself, The Colossus of Clout (The Colossus of Clout!) - no, I am not above Sandlot references - Abaddon The Despoiler!

Sorry bout the quality of the pics, the lighting is kinda suck :(

Love it? Hate it? Let us know!

Homemade, CustomThunderwolf Cav

Well, I have been wantin to run some thunderwolves, but I haven't found any models that really tickled my fancy. I've seen the Mythicast, the Russian wolves, all the ones from eBay, nothin tickled my fancy. So I began the arduous journey of making my own. I slaved over the desk, fought with the green stuff, stayed awake for nights on end. I have poured my heart and soul into these, and I believe it shows. Without further ado, I give you my Thunderwolves.

Ok, so by now you probably know these are nothing more than a proxy/filler. I am wanting to try out some TWC's, but ain't really sure how and how many. So I threw these bad boys together in order to have something on the table other than empty bases. I ran out of the big bases, but as luck would have it, a Copenhagen lid is the exact same size. Hopefully I will get a chance to try them out tomorrow. Till next time!

1st Grey Hunter Pack Painted

Well Bear Cubs, I got some stuffs to show off. I played a game against my good friend Wiley The Nord from over at Ghostlight of Commorragh the other day, had a blast, (batrep to come soon!) and I got to play with my Space Wolves. I got them all out and surveyed the list in all its glory, and became dismayed as I cast my gaze upon it. After being used to playing my Blood Angels, who are mostly painted, my completely unpainted Wolf army was quite depressing.

So, for the past 2 days, I have been working feverishly to make some headway on my new crush, the Boys from Fenris. After some long nights, some sore thumbs from opening paint pots, and a slight case of carpal tunnel, I have finished my first squad. Now, these boys are not Golden Daemon by any stretch, I think they are sufficiently table top quality. Let me know what you think!

I am pretty Happy with how they are comin along, 10 down, 25 to go!

Keep checkin out IIWPA... For the first Batrep with the Wolves!

Gunnar Red Moon Ridin the Big Wolf

Grizz here, picked up a Canis Wolfborn model in the new Finecast. Let me say first that the Finecast has exceptional highs and lows, no middle ground. I held out on getting a Canis model due to the headache that a metal thunderwolf proposes, so when they said they were bringing them out in Finecast, I got all kinds of giggly 6 year old girl excited.

This Excited
So I go out, pay my money, and wait for a month due to GW's awesome business policies and warehousing. So I finally pick it up and get it home, and boy is it a good lookin cast. Sharp edges, lighter than I had thought, and easy to put it together. Then I saw the pitting/bubbling spots. Two spots, both pretty rough. Now, fixing them was pretty easy, just filled them with super glue and went on with my business, but this is almost unacceptable in a new product. Just my .02

Anyway, I got it halfway painted and got stuck on what equipment to give him. I rolled around storm shield and TH/FW, but I could never decide. Then I started doing the rolls on a dual wolf claws, and dear God what a beast. Luckily, Canis has some pretty kickin claws. So got em glued on and now Gunnar Red Moon is ready to ride his Thunderwolf down to the battlefield and add some tales to his glorious saga!

Wolf Lord Gunnar Red Moon
---2x Wolf Claws
---Runic Armor
---Thunderwolf Mount
---Belt of Russ
---Wolftooth Necklace
---Saga of the Bear

So how did it turn out? Hit or Miss? Good setup or not? Let us know what you think!

1st Grey Hunter Painted!!!

Well I got my very first Grey hunter painted, and thought i'd ask y'all what y'all thought about it. Sorry bout the crappy phone pics, but camera is still packed up.

not Golden Daemon by any stretch, but I think it is simple and effective. So far my planned list to run Friday night is

Rune Priest
---Living Lightning, JotWW, Storm Bolter, Runic Weapon
Rune Priest
---Living Lightning, Tempests Wrath, BP/RW
Rune Priest
---Living Lightning, Murderous Hurricane, Bolter/RW

3x Wolf Guard
---Combi-Melta PF

3x9 Grey Hunters
---Meltagun, Wolf Standard, MotWulfen
---Rhino - HK Missile

1x5 Grey Hunters
---Plasma Gun
---Razorback - Las/TL Plas, HK Missile

3x6 Long Fangs
---2x LCs, 3x MLs
---Razorback - Las/TL Plas, HK Missile

1997 Pts.

I like the list thus far, as it is shooty as hell, mobile, and still has a lot of boots on the ground. The Rune Priests are gonna hang with the Long Fangs and throw Living Lightning all over the place, the 1x5 GH's in the Razorback will be my babysitter unit. I am most excited about this army's turn one Shooting phase, as i can throw 16 S8, 10 S9, and 3d6 S7 shots at 13 different targets. Talk about dead transports/tanks. Anyway, we'll give it a shot tomorrow and see how it goes!

So what is the consensus? Did the Grey Hunter turn out pretty well? Is the list decent? Will The Grizz ever find his camera so he can quit taking pictures with his phone?

Nid Update

Ok everybody, here is the latest and greatest on Hive Fleet Cerberus. My order from Chapterhouse Studios came in, so I was able to slap lash whips and bone swords on my stuffs. First up is the Tyranid Prime

Most exciting of all was my box from Great Britain finally arrived. Still waitin on my lash whip, but overall I am extremely happy with the choice to go FW over the GW one, a very xenomorph inspired piece

A size comparison. This sucker is huge!

and a pic of everything I have together thus far

Well, Hive Fleet Cerberus is truckin right along, what do y'all think thus far?
