Hello again! I’m so happy you stopped by today to see my card for the  CAS(e) This Sketch  challenge, and for the Less is More challenge.

(A2; Stamps: Technique Tuesday)

This was really hard to photograph, but I cut out two tags and used some double sided movable tape to stack the tags and the base. I used the Triple Stamping technique to stamp the image and I used some of the tiny flowers from the set and stamped them in different shades of pink. Some of them are hard to see in the photo because they are so light. I added the greenery and pink dots. I used foam tape to attach the top tag. I tied the tags together with white ribbon and added to a pink mat; then attached using foam tape to the white card base.

CAS-ology & the LIMETTES

Hello again! This is my second post for today, this time to share my card for the  CAS-ology challenge whose theme is BLOSSOM, and for the Less is More challenge to CASE a DT card.

LIM: ONE LAYER CARD WEEK

Hello crafty friends. I’m so happy you stopped by today for my Less is More card for this week.  It is OLC week and we are to use an animal as our subject.

I just love this cute guy! I stamped him and colored with Copic markers. After I finished coloring, I used a technique called Stamp Sketching that I learned from Sandy Allnock. You can see her tutorial here.

LIM214: COLOR CHALLENGE

Hello crafty friends. I’m so happy you stopped by today for my Less is More card for this week. 

(A2: Stamps: Simon Says Stamps (Friend Circles); Die: Simon Says Stamps (Circle on a Line), Memory Box

The color challenge this week is yellow and green. I have been wanting to play with making a bokeh background, so I used green and yellow alcohol ink on water color paper. First, I saturated the paper with the clear alcohol mixer, then I added the yellow and green randomly. After this was completely dry I used the eraser end of a pencil and a dauber and added white ink randomly over the green and yellow. To give it a bit more depth, once the white was dry, I added just a touch of green and yellow with the dauber.

For the flowers, I used a MB die and cut them in both green and yellow. I cut the yellow flowers and bud, and shaded them with a darker yellow to give depth. Then I glued them on the green and added them to the bokeh strip with foam tape and glue.

I added the die cut border, cut the circle and stamped the sentiment is Pistachio and attached with foam tape. I hope you like my card!

The theme this week is “This Makes Me Happy”. Of course my family, friends and doggie are so special to me and they make me smile, so I used the Simon Says Stamp set to create the sentiment. I then used peg stamps from Rubber Stamp Tapestry to create the flowers The reason I added flowers is because they also make me smile! I hope you like my card!

LIM212: HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Hello crafty friends. I’m so happy you stopped by today for my Less is More card for this week.  

(A2: Stamps: Hero Arts and Great Impressions  ( D473 - Come True); Copic Markers

The theme at LIM is WINGS. I chose a Hero Arts stamp, but it is bigger than I wanted. I cut an oval mask, placed it on my card stock and stamped the portion of the image I wanted in the oval opening. I colored the image with Copic Markers. The sentiment is from Great Impressions.

The color challenge is to use black, metallic and one color. I used a silver metallic card stock and die cut the little border. The deep purple panel is dry embossed and the sentiment is die cut and popped up with foam tape.

LIM199: MERRY CHRISTMAS

Hello crafty friends. Welcome back to my third post today for my Less is More card for this week. 

(A2: Stamps: Rubber Stampede (Santa Collage), Verve (Merry Christmas)

The theme is “Jingle all the way” or anything Christmasy. I cut a rectangle mask and used the negative space and Distress Inks to create the background. Then I stamped Santa’s image and used Gel Pens for his glasses and eyes. I added the sentiment and small holly embellishment and mounted on brown card stock.

LIM198: MERRY CHRISTMAS

Hello crafty friends. Welcome back to my second post today for my Less is More card for this week. I have been away helping my daughter so I have missed this challenge for several weeks. I’m so happy to be able to submit an entry this week!

(A2: Stamps: Heartfelt Creations (trees); Verve (Merry Christmas: Cut file: Silhouette Studio; Lace: Really Reasonable Ribbon; Stencil: SSS (Falling Snow)

The theme this week is more than one tree. After stamping the trees, I used a snow stencil and embossing paste to create the snowy effect. I matted the image and stamped the sentiment on the base.  I cut the holly in white on my Cameo and added some stickles for the berries. Last I added a small lace bow to complete this card.

This week’s challenge is small creatures. I used this tiny goose stamp and stamped him three times. I added a little row of tiny flowers and tore the image out. I used foam tape to attach it and stamped the GI sentiment below. I hope you like it!

Wow! It is already one-layer card week, and there is a twist! Use two of something. For my card, I have two words in the sentiment, and I have two sets of holly. I colored with Copics. Very quick and simple OLC!

LIM192: NEVER GIVE UP

Hello crafty friends. Welcome back to In a World of Craft! I have a quick post to show you my Less is More card for this week.

(A2: Stamps:  Great Impressions (Never Give Up – A145); Dies: Spellbinders, Heartfelt Creations, Taylored Expressions)

This week we are tasked with using autumnal colors. I decided to use my DI ink and blending tool to create the paper from which I would cut the leaves. I used Copics to add a little detail in the leaves and added the GI stamp. The focal square is mounted on brown card stock and mounted on white linen. It is attached to the card base with foam tape.

Hello crafty friends. Welcome back to In a World of Craft! I have a quick post to show you my Less is More card for this week.

(A2: Stamps:  MFT (Vertical Greetings); Stain: Ranger)

The challenge is to use mostly words. This sentiment seems to stay in my head these days and I thought it very appropriate. I used Ranger Distress Stains and stained water color paper then stamped the sentiment. I rounded two of the corners and attached to the card base with foam tape.
