TI#166: DON’T BE SQUARE

Happy day sweet friends!  I am stopping in today to share my card that I am submitting to the Tiddly Inks challenge.

(A2: Stamps:  Tiddly Inks (Be Merry and Bright Pup); Cut file: Cameo; Markers: Copic; )

The challenge this week is Don’t’ Be Square: No squares allowed. I made a shaped rectangle card on my Cameo. The image and sentiment are from Tiddly Inks, and I colored them with Copic markers. I cut a rectangle in the DP and popped the sentiment up with foam tape. I enlarged one of the birds, colored him and fussy cut. He is attached with foam tape too. I hope you like it!

Now, before I sign off one last thing. Sadly, this is my last post for the wonderful Cards In Envy DT. I found that I need to take a break for a while, but will miss this team! I’m sure I will be playing along as much as I can.

Now it is time for you to join in the fun! Here is the link for you, just remember your card must be A2 (4 1/4” x 5 1/2”) size and no thicker than 1/4".

TI161 & 52CCTD

Happy day sweet friends!  I am stopping in this today to share my card that I am submitting to the Tiddly Inks and 52 Christmas Card Throwdown challenges.

(A2: Stamps:  Tiddly Inks (Snowman Sid)

Since the TI challenge is anything goes, I thought I would take advantage and get another Christmas card done. I recently won this snowman image from Tiddly Inks and was happy to try him out. I created the sentiment on my computer and colored the image with Copic markers. To add a snowy effect, I added bits of embossing paste to resemble snowflakes.

The challenge at 52CCTD is to use Kraft plus your favorite Christmas colors. I love red and white with Kraft so I colored the scarf red and added the red and white twine. I hope you like my card!

Thanks for stopping by!

ATSAM:148 HOLIDAY

Hi dear friends. I feel like it has been so long since I have been able to pick challenges to play in, but finally my schedule is slowing and I can do just that! The card I have today is for the Addicted to Stamps challenge.

(A2: Stamps:  Tiddly Inks (Sweet Dreams Wryn); Ssentiment by me; Techniques: Masking

Although I did not use Christmas colors, I thought Wryn looked so cute propped up in bed and could imagine “Visions of sugar-plums” dancing in her head! After printing the sentiments on white card, I masked them and masked stripes. I then used DI to create the background. Thanks for stopping by.

Hi everyone! Today I have a card for the current Marker Pop challenge which is Anything Goes:

(A2: Stamps: Tiddly Inks (Perfect Day Wryn); DP: Scraps; Die: Spellbinders; Markers: Copic)

Wryn is so adorable to me. I especially love her in this set! I used scraps for the card and once I printed and colored Wryn, using Copic markers, I used the Out of the Box technique to cut her out using a SB die.

TI158: EASEL CARD USING FLUTTERBY

Happy day sweet friends!  I am stopping in this afternoon to share my Tiddly Inks card for the current challenge which is to make an easel card.

(A2: Stamps:  Tiddly Inks (Flutterby); DSP: Wild Rose Studio)

This is my first easel card, so I has a lot of fun working on it. I tried to keep the Copic colors light, feminine and summery. The digital set comes with the little border of butterflies so I fussy cut those to use to hold the easel in place. I hope you enjoy my card!

Thanks for stopping by!

TI157 AND CTS123: THANK YOU CARD

Happy day sweet friends!  I am stopping in this afternoon to share my Tiddly Inks card for the current challenge and the CAS(e) This Sketch challenge:

(A2: Stamps:  Tiddly Inks (Poppylicious); Water color paper; Card stock; Distress Inks)

The sketch at CTS seemed perfect for this card, but I decided to flip it around. I used the Out of the Box technique on the image so I could use a smaller die. The center panel is water color paper that I spritzed with water and then used DI to add the color. I then used a paintbrush to splatter the card base, added the panel and last the image. The image is colored with Copic markers.

Thanks for stopping by!

(A2: Stamps:  Tiddly Inks (Dandy As Candy); DSP: MME)

Tiddly Inks had an awesome sale, so I took advantage and grabbed a few new digis. This is one of them. I thought she was adorable and would be fun to color, and she was! The sentiment came in the set. I colored her with my Copic markers, fussy cut and attached her with foam tape. Please let me know what you think!

CIE: YOU ARE SIMPLY THE BEST

Hello dear friends! Welcome back for another Cards in Envy challenge! This time the challenge is Best Friends! Here is what I came up with:

(A2: Stamps: Tiddly Inks (Thanks a Latte), Technique Tuesday (Simply You); EF: Darice; Copics)

This is a digital stamp that I colored and then fussy cut. I scrounged in my scrap box for papers to match the image. The green panel is dry embossed with the Darice embossing folder and the little row of paper hearts came from my stash and I no longer know where I got it.

Now it is time for you to join in the fun! Here is the link for you, just remember your card must be A2 (4 1/4” x 5 1/2”) size card no thicker than 1/4".

CASology108: I BETTER GET A NEW PALACE OUT OF THIS….

Hi dear friends. Just popping in with a couple of quick posts today. This is  my first one and I am sharing my CASology card for this week. The cue word is MAGIC:

(A2: Stamps: Tiddly Inks (Froggy Thoughts); Copics)

For my magic card, I thought about The Frog Princess, a novel that I loved to read when I was young. I chose this cute frog from Tiddly Inks and the sentiment from the same set. I used Copics to color him and a gold pen for the crown.

Be sure to check out the challenge! You will love the inspiration cards! I had SO many ideas for this challenge, but finally decided on this one.

Thanks for stopping by.

TI138: MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM OUR HOUSE TO YOURS

Hello crafty friends. Popping in to share a couple of cards this cloudy Friday. This first one is for theTiddly Inks challenge:

(A2: Stamps:  Tiddly Inks (The Conductor), Heartfelt Creations (tree), Verve (Poinsettia Christmas); Copics G 05, 17, 29, E 0000, 000,00,11,15,19,21,31,33,50,51,53; R 37,46,89; N 5,7,9; C 0,3,5,7; Y 11,26,28)

This week’s challenge is called For the Boys. I have been admiring this adorable stamp and although it is not a Christmas stamp, I knew it would be cute with a Christmas tree. I mean what is more traditional than a train on Christmas?

I was going to mask this, but decided I wanted a little more depth so I fussy cut and popped up the image with foam tape. The sentiment stamp is part of a new Verve set I just received.

Thanks for stopping by!

FFC:37 MERRY CHRISTMAS

Hello again! This is my second post today and is a card for the Festive Friday Challenge:

(A2: Stamps: Heidi Grace Designs (HG 4x8 Stamp Believe), Tiddly Inks (Wryn Joy Ride); Stencil: Simon Says Stamp (Snowfall); Copics: E50,53,31; C 0, 3, 5, 7; G 05,09; RV10; R 37,46,89; Signo Pigment ink; Sakura Gelly Roll Metallic)

When I saw this week’s inspiration photo, I instantly thought of this little car image. I colored with Copics and added snow on top of the car using a Sakura white pigment ink pen. I stenciled the snowfall using embossing paste and mounted on a little red square. I added some scoring around the image and stamped the sentiment and holly below.

Thanks so much for looking!!!
