Better Late The Never

Remember how I said I didn't take any pictures of myself on Christmas- well Ben did (probably has something to do with the fact that I'm with his kids in each picture), and he just so happened to email me them. So as he said, better late then never.

Side note- Autsin quite enjoyed trying on everyone's clothes. He especially liked my new scarf & beanie from the Josh, Nikki & Keegan.

Update:
This is totally random and don't know how long this video will be available, and it's more for my records than anything. But I was just sent this link from my Idaho Viehweg relatives. It's a news story highlighting a book my Uncle John wrote about their family dealing with my Aunt Lana's cancer, and death. I truly loved Lana and miss her dearly. It brings great sadness to me to remember the day of her funeral and to witness her children's reactions- I still see Bryson standing over her casket at the grave side, and I constantly think to myself- how will Natalie ever really know how wonderful her mother was?! Anyway- I'm starting to tear up so- I'm done. If you'd like to, check out the video.

The big 5

I really cannot believe that Keegan is 5 today! This little man will forever hold a special place in my heart. My first nephew. I was able to watch him weekly when they moved back to SLC when he was a baby. He is one of the silliest, cutest, most helpful, smartest little 5 year olds I know!
I love him to pieces! Happy Birthday Keegan!!

still one of my all time favorite pictures of him. love those squinty eyes.

And just this past weekend. Celebrating his birthday at Disneyland.

(RSL jacket was a gift from me and Jon)

On my mind....

We carry around in our heads these pictures of what our lives are supposed to look like, painted by the brush of our emotions. It’s the great, deep secret of humanity that in the end, none of our lives look the way we thought they would. As much as we wish to believe otherwise, most of life is a reaction to circumstances.
