Marauder halberdiers

And we are back in Pfeildorf! After a welcome "dwarf break", the last two halberdier models I had to complete the city watch.

Nothing much to say, this is the second or third time you're seeing these models on this blog :)

And then what? Well, I still have a lot of Marauder Miniatures waiting for their basecoat, but I have to admit this perspective is a little bit disheartening... too many years spent on this army I guess. In need some vacations, far from the Empire :o)

Marauder halberdiers

And that's two additional retinues for the City Watch: references F29 and F5 of the MM60 fighters range. Second time I paint these models, can be boring...

I've been lazy with the shield, and used one of these old Marauder plastic shields to spare me an uninspired freehand.

In theory, I still have two halberdiers to paint to complete the Guild of the Lamplighters and Watchmen. I'll do my best to finish it by the end of the year, but the perspective of preparing dwarves for the next OWAC is much more inspiring :p We'll see!

Empire standard bearer

Third standard bearer for the Guild of Lamplighters and Watchmen, this model is based on a MM60 fighter. The "A" letter stands for Alderhorst, the oldest district and the most affluent of Pfeildorf.

The banner is a Dark Elf bit, topped by a burning skull borrowed to imperial flagellants.

And here are the banners for 3 districts of the free city: Mórrsfeld, Alderhorst and Söllhafen.

Empire handgunners #7, #8 and #9

Below an arquebusier (F2 fighter), the coachman (C46), and the 3rd version of the MM60 F7 fighter.

And the second batch completed:

Empire handgunners #3 and #4

The imperial pistolier is an old Citadel F2 Fighter:

And here is the second version of the Marauder MM60 F7 fighter. As the casting was rather bad, I have repaired the barrel using a gun from the Empire handgunners box. Et voilà!

Empire handgunner #1

All right. With this first handgunner (F7), I'm putting an end to the obsessive collection and painting of all the Marauder MM60 fighters. At last 😛

Don't worry, you'll see him again and again, as I've bought this model a couple of times to build this regiment.

Spearman and Spearwoman

OK. Let's start with Spearman, a Marauder MM60 fighter, reference F3. His shield indicates that he's been probably equiped by the minor guild of Pfeildord's Smiths.

Then comes a Citadel F2 fighter: Agnes. Not convinced it's a Morrison's model, but she's welcome in the militia!

Fighter F15

Not a swordsman, obviously, but I didn't know where else to put this Marauder Miniatures model. Still one model to paint to complete my regiment of mercenary swordsmen :)

Sir Errol de Swash and Fighter F17

A couple of swordsmen, both designed by Aly Morrison. Still two to paint, and I'll be done with my mercenaries...

A closer look on Errol (I really like this model):

Fighters F4 and F28

Both coming from the MM60 fighters range, these two references will join my mercenary regiment of swordsmen.

With this last shield, I've tried to complete my attempt to reproduce the ones dispayed in the 3rd edition Warhammer Armies book. Below the original picture:
 And the painted results:

Empire archers #7 and 8

Again, two models already painted in the past. Marauder Fighters MM60, references F10 and F19.
