Empire Swordsmen complete

A regiment started 3 years ago I think, to use the MM60 Fighters models that didn't fit into Pfeildorf's militia or City watch.  It was high time to put an end to it!

This post will be probably the last one dedicated to my Pfeildorfers for a while. I've joined the OWAC III madness, and I'll focus my painting efforts on a brand new army in the coming months.

Rombustus Sellsword

Finally! The last swordsman to join my mercenary company, Rombustus Sellsword.

Sir Errol de Swash and Fighter F17

A couple of swordsmen, both designed by Aly Morrison. Still two to paint, and I'll be done with my mercenaries...

Dieter Muller

Small conversion of Dieter Muller, one of the F2 fighters designed by Aly Morrison: I've replaced the mace by a sword, and inserted a trumpet in his closed fist.


My 2019 swordsmen so far:

Talisman and Marauder swordsmen

Same sculptor, same pose, two swordsmen designed by Aly Morrison, the former for Talisman game around 1985, the second for the Marauder Miniatures range around 1988 (a member of the command group MM61).

You may have noticed a slight change in the colours between the two models: I've changed my camera, the new one gives brighter tones (see below).

Fighters F4 and F28

Both coming from the MM60 fighters range, these two references will join my mercenary regiment of swordsmen.




With this last shield, I've tried to complete my attempt to reproduce the ones dispayed in the 3rd edition Warhammer Armies book. Below the original picture:

And to conclude my Mordheim warband painted for a challenge on the francophone Warhammer Forum, here is the Captain, a fighter of the MM60 range to whom I have given a pistol (Mordheim plastic sprue).

Fighter F30

Last model of the summer batch: Fighter F30.

Fighter F18

Another addition to the Mordheim Mercenary warband: Fighter F18, from the MM60 range. Very nice sculpt.

Fighter F16

There's something bretonnian with this MM60 fighter and I initially wanted to paint the shield with fleur-de-lis. Ermines happen to be easier...

Fighter F9

Well, I'm kind of involved in an on-line challenge to build a Mordheim band in three months. The previous archer and this swordsman are part of the Mercenay Warband.
