Snow Day!

Well, we got the biggest storm of the century today. It is amazing. We got at least 8 inches of snow last night and it's still coming down hard. All area schools are closed including the colleges which means Jay and I both have a snow day! We used our time wisely by playing with the neighbor kids. We built a snow fort and totally hung out. In some places the snow is up to my thigh, others it's taller than me with the snow drifts.
It is snowing so hard they have closed all city and county offices unfortunatly Jay still has to work, something about people still need food. Lame.

Sledding

I've been wanting to go sledding pretty bad lately, which will come as a shock to everyone who knows me. Last weekend we finally did it. On Saturday I decided we were too busy. Monday we didn't have to work or go to school so we went. In 13 degree weather we went sledding. When I say sledding I mean walking up the hill and going down, walking up, going down, walking up, going down, going inside for hot chocolate. It took me longer to put all the clothes on to stay warm then it did to actually do the sledding.

Merry Christmas

Our first Christmas together was a memorable one. We had a wonderful time. All of Jay's family was in town and we were able to visit eat lots of food and play games with them up until Christmas Eve when we made the long trek to my parents home. Normally the drive is about 8 hours but the weather was not on our side. After 11 hours we finally made it home. We spent Christmas at my parents home, which is a switch for us. I remember only two other Christmas' at home and the rest were in Sun Valley. My Mom took this opportunity to start new traditions. We played Christmas songs with chimes and my Dad read "Twas the Night Before Christmas" before we ran off to be in wait of Santa's visit.

We all had a great time and received a LOT of presents. We lounged in our pajamas all day and played games without a care in the world. We have lots of new games to play with everyone and a nut roaster so give us a call!

The rest of the week we relaxed, play games, rode the snowmobiles, sat in the hot tub and ate a LOT of food. We didn't come back to Moscow until New Year's Day and I am already missing my wonderful family.

My New Job

I started my new job on Wednesday. I am so excited for this wonderful, challenging, new experience. I will be working at Washington State University in the Art Museum, once again in marketing and public relations. I am very excited. I will be making more money than I was at Gritman and I get every Friday off! I have my very own office which definetly needs a girls touch as a smelly man was previously in this position. I see a new paint job and pictures.
