Before and Afters

We have been busy redoing the floors in our house. Jay did an incredible job while I did a great job of nagging him and keeping the kids out of his way. We had decided to redo the floors and once we picked out what we wanted we decided that the cabinets and baseboards would all clash with the new floors. So we painted all of them. Then we decided the living room was too dark so we painted that (sorry, no before pic of that I forgot). Then we (Jay) got busy on the flooring. I LOVE how it all turned out. We got the new carpet installed this last week and we love burying our toes into it. There are also two cute pictures of our adorable little girls for you to enjoy.

Introducing

This is a long overdue post, I know. Meet the newest member of our family McKenna Ann. She was born December 17, 2011 at 2:42 p.m. She weighed 9 pounds and was 22 inches long. Yes, she was a big baby. No, we had no idea she was going to be that big.

The delivery was great. I was supposed to be induced on Tuesday but when I called the hospital to find out what time I needed to be there I was told they wouldn't have room for me that day. I was told this same thing each day when I called. Finally on Saturday at 6 a.m. I got the call. I could finally go in for my induction. When I got there my nurse was very excited that I was already dilated to a 4. She predicted that our baby would be born at 3:30 that afternoon. I got started on PIT and after a few hours they broke my water. At 2:30 my mom and I were getting ready to watch a movie when my nurse came in and said it was time. She checked me and sure enough I was complete. McKenna was born at 2:42. It was so fast that I didn't feel like I had really just given birth. I'm not complaining by any means!

Madison loves her to pieces. She keeps telling me that Kenzers (this is what she calls her) is not my baby but her baby. I just get to take care of her. I feel so blessed to have two wonderful healthy girls. Poor Jay doesn't know what to do with all the pink in our house now.
