Hong Kong

Add caption
As many of you know, I frequently travel for work. Usually I get to go to exotic places like Arkansas. Two weeks ago, however, I broke the mold and went to Hong Kong to visit a client. Since this may have been my first and last trip to HK, I stayed an extra day to take in the sights. The client I was with sent one of their guys from Chicago so he and I bummed around together along with some locals that he knew from the office. Here are some photos of what we did.

We rode the sky tram up to the "Big Buddha". We opted to spend the extra few bucks to get one with a glass bottom. I thought it was going to be pretty freaky, but it wasn't too bad

After Big Buddha, we took a taxi to a little fishing village that I can remember the name of. One of the girls we were with jokingly called it the Venice of Hong Kong. We went out on a little boat to see some pink dolphins. I was just able to catch one jumping.

After checking out the town, we had a little seafood lunch. We bought everything at the local market and then brought it to a little restaurant to cook it up. Here are some before and after shots.

At the end of the day, we headed up to "The Peak" to check out a view of the whole city. It was a little foggy but it was still pretty neat to see the whole city from the top.

Happy Birthdays!!

Happy Birthday Urban and Hazel!!! Urban turned ONE on the first and Hazel turned THREE on the fifth. This last year has gone by so fast. Each year gets faster than the last. It's CRAZY! Urban is a lot of fun. He has the most mischievous grin and he is the biggest mommas boy ever. Honestly it's bad. He isn't walking yet, which has me a little annoyed. The girls walked at 9 months. I guess I just expected the same from him. I am ready for him to walk and not get his clothes and hands dirty all the time from crawling. Hazel is our little fire ball. She is crazy Hazy! She is our goofy child and keeps us laughing all the time. She has been going to preschool for the last 5 months and loves it. She enjoys interacting with others but loves her alone time and plays best that way. I guess that comes from having a bossy older sister. We love them both so much and had such a good time celebrating their Birthdays together. We went to Kangaroo Zoo and had cake and ice cream. I made the cakes. Hazel's was Strawberry Shortcake(who she absolutely loves right now) and Urban's was a football.

Jake and Emery

What a mess!

Happy Birthday to you!

Yummy!

(DJ and Kate came by a little later to celebrate with us and while Owen was eating his cake in the kitchen, he found something else that looked good and decided to give it a few tries.)

OK, OK!

So, I know how far behind I am. With Everything!! But for those of you who don't know, I am without a husband. His job started requiring that he travels 100% of the time. We saw him at Thanksgiving and will see him for one day until Dec 19. So it has been a little rough and very hard to find time to do the little things. So here are pictures of Halloween. We were mystery inc. Justin-Shaggy, Elsie-Fred, Layla-Daphene, Hazel-Velma, and Urban-Scooby Doo. I also will hopefully have my little sisters wedding posted in the next week or so, and Thanksgiving. PS none of these photos are edited. I just haven't had time. So sorry about the quality.
