Santa Visits
Santa was so good to our kids this year. He left the girls American Girl Dolls, and Urban a Cars garage. The girls have been playing with their dolls non stop. Definitely a hit. We opened our Santa presents at 8am and then had our usual breakfast and finished with the family presents at 1ish. The kids loved their presents from Grandparents and cousins. So a big Thank you! We love you all and have found it a little harder to be away then we anticipated. We think about you often and can't wait to see you all! Hope you have a happy New Year!

Christmas Eve
We went Ice skating during the day with our ward. It is a ward tradition so our kids are already looking forward to next year. They had a great time. Layla started out using a chair to steady herself and slowly graduated to just skating. Hazel sat on the chair and made justin push her around the rink the entire time. Urban did't like it at all. We tried a sled and then just walking holding on to me. He only liked playing on the bleachers. At the very end a better sled became available and he rode in that happily for 5 or so min. After that we came home an prepared for dinner with our friends the Nielsons and Bailies. We had a great dinner with them. Decorated ginger bread houses and had a talent show. Layla sang silent night and Hazel did a summersault. They got their Christmas eve jammies and off to bed it was. It was a great day.
Hazel's Christmas Program
Hazel Had a Christmas program on Wed. At her Preschool. They sang songs and did actions to the songs. Hazel has never been a big singer, so it is a lot of fun to watch her get into it. She has been singing so much more since she started preschool this year. She is also coming up with some crazy new words. She says that everything is hopeless and in the car the other day she asked me if Layla had an off switch. She leaves us smiling a lot. Here are a few of the pictures from her program. They sang Rudolf and up on the house top. That one had the most actions. Santa made a surprise appearance at the end. Urban did not enjoy his lap time.

Hazel's Birthday party
So I didn't post on Hazel's actual B-day (the 5th) because Her party was coming up, and we didn't really celebrate on her birthday. Her party today was a lot of fun. It was her first friend party and she enjoyed it. She specifically asked for a pinata, decorations and a pool cake. I figured I could handle that. She had 4 friends show up and they had a good time playing. Here are the pics of her party and a few of her actual Birthday.

Urban is 2!!
I feel like I am only blogging Birthdays. It might be because that is all we are doing at our house lately. It is our busy quarter. Urban had an uneventful Birthday. I had a lot of shopping to do in Madison, so he stayed with a friend. I didn't think it was nice to torture him with shopping on his Birthday. Later that night, we did cupcakes and presents. He loves Lightning Mcqueen and Buzz right now. I was able to find lightning cupcake stuff, so voila. He was very happy with his presents, as were the girls. I think they are dying for Christmas. It will be here soon enough. Here are a few pics of our little evening.

The girls were also super happy that we did cupcakes. They each downed as many as they could before mom and dad noticed. Much easier to sneak off with than a piece of cake.

One year older...
and wiser too, Happy Birthday to you! Layla is 6. Wow!!! can I say it again? WOW!! It is crazy how fast the time flies. Each child and year that passes, it seems to go by even faster. My sweet baby is six years old. She goes to school all day and has a lot of friends. She is very social! She acts like she is 16 already. She mostly got clothes and shoes and she was thrilled to get them. When she wants to be she can be the best sister and daughter, but if she doesn't want to she has a will of steel. She is absolutely beautiful. We have been told several times that we need to get her modeling. She is growing up to fast. If we could only slow the clock a little. We love Layla so much and are so proud of her. Here are some pictures of her actual birthday and her friend b-day party. (On her Birthday she requested salad for dinner and pumpkin pie. And her Party was a Witches brew tea party. We had 15 little girls there. It was a blast.)
