Busy Barn

Almost every year we go to some fall festival with the kids.  This year we went to Busy Barns in Fort Atkinson just like last year.  The kids had a blast.  Hazel went there the week before for a school field trip but still had tons of fun.  It was the first year that we had to pay for everyone since all of the kids are getting older, but it was also the first year that we didn't need a stroller to drag one of the kids around.

There were a lot of different activities from the corn sandbox to a hayride.  The girls both loved feeding the ponies and miniature mules and Urban's favorite part was milking the wooden cow.   We miss Linder farms in Boise but Busy Bars was a lot of fun.

Layla turns 7

Holy crud.  Our little girl is seven years old today!  It is hard to believe that time has flown by so quickly. Recently the kids have been watching home videos (or home-made movies as Hazel calls them) on Sundays.  They are super fun to watch but makes it seem like time our lives are cruising and we can't keep up.

We love our Layla so much.  She can be a little pill sometimes and others she is the best helper and big sister.  This year she has really enjoyed soccer and is loving being a big first grader.  She has homework that she brings home and is either really excited to do it or is really annoyed that she has to get it done.

This year she got a bike for her birthday and was supper excited when daddy brought it home.  At the beginning of the summer we couldn't hardly get her to ride her bike but now she is having lots of fun cruising up and down the block.

Layla brings a lot of happiness into our home and we love her to pieces.

Projects.....

             Here are some of the project that I/We have been doing in the last 6 months or so.

                        I don't know what to do for a bedspread, and I don't have any decorations yet.

                     The Girls bedroom. The drapes and the bedspreads are still in the making.

        Urban's Room. There is still quite a bit of work to do on this one... but you get idea.

                                                   This tailgate will be Urban Head board.

                                          Our yard. Still and forever more a work in progress.

                                                  There will eventually be a fence.

                         That pvc pipe sticking out of the concrete is a future outdoor kitchen.
