Adelaide that is. We have been here since Tuesday afternoon and thanks to the Tour Down Under bike race we really struggled to find accomodation but we persisted and found a very flash hotel in the centre of the city that had room for us :) so tomorrow we are heading for Victoira aim to be in Melbourne Sunday night and we are hoping to change our ferry booking because we are pathetic and really miss the girlies and I just want to go home :)
HAve had a great time in Adelaide, we have done the Maritime Museum, the Museum, cental markets, chinatown, the Old Adelaide Gaol, today we went to the zoo and saw the panda's they were very cute I have taken so many photo's but have limited internet time so I'll save them for another time.
and remember how the littlest girlie took Mummy Beauregard and I bought Baby Bowie with me, wel he has been very busy. He has driven the car, being looked up in 'handcuffs' at the Gaol, climbed lighthouses, admired the views, watched bowholes, meet Matthew Flinders, was bitten by a shark!, played in the sand, even played the ds one night and he too is looking forward to seeing his mummy lol.
Girlies are having a great time, they have caught up with their cousins, and some friends, been to the pool, the park, out for coffee, the library and sound like they are having a ball. The cats are settled and the naughty puppy is too so its all good. As far as we know the furniture is rolling its way east via a train and will beat us to Tasmania.
Will check in again soon
oh and I am in love with Borders bookstore, it is definately a booklovers paradise.

Hello
We are in Cocklebiddy (sp)
we left Esperance at 7:23am gained 45 minutes at Caiguna and arrived here 8 hrs after we started. So far so good. We have seen a few road trains, lots of road kill and even the police (but they didn't pull me over phew). Wanted to see the Baxter Cliffs but its rained here recently so my lil car couldn't get us there.
Tomorrow we are heading for Ceduna, but may stop before then.
Girlies are happy
We are happy so its all good.
No sewing done as yet, thats for tomorrow when I move it so I can get at it lol, I have played Shaun the Sheep and done a few crosswords on the DS.
We are current;y sitting in the bar having a few quiet drinks and I think it will be an early night as we are both a bit weary.
Will check in again soon well as soon as I find the next internet cafe.
Not sure if we are in WA or SA but we are on central western time, so who really knows lol.
Chat soon
Kate :)

See you all on the other side
A quick post to say
Seeya later alligator's
our life left in the containers yesterday, we are just doing the final sweep out of crap, a dump run and a cobweb sweep and we are offically out of here.
Off to do lunch with the girls, get my nails done and then out to dinner with friends, before we head off by 7am in the mornbing to start our trip.
The girlies all arrived safe and sound, tears were shed at the airport, by ALL of them (daddy included lol) and they were very excited when I spoke to them last night.
I don't think I'll be able to blog from the road, but I will try. So until we are in OUR HOUSE this is it for at least 4 weeks sniff sniff, maybe Gumdrops will let me borrow here computer when we get there.
Stay safe I can't wait to 'chat' again

Its Official
I am a wuss
my baby girl dissolved into tears at the airport, so I did to!
They are in Perth at their hotel, the girlies are very excited because there is a Hungry Jacks resturant across the road. My girlies haven't had any Hungry's or McDonalds since we left Tasmania in Feb '08. They are dining in style tonight lol.
Apparently all 3 had a bit of a cry on the plane.....because they missed me lol lol lol so glad its not me saying goodbye tomorrow.
Packers are still packing, its nearly done, with just the master bedroom and the book cupboard to go.
apparently they will be back tomorrow at 7:30 again......
back soon with photos (after I have a little cry lol)

Time Flies
when you are running around like a chook with its head cut off
its 12:01am Tuesday morning and I am still up (obviously) waiting for batteries to charge so I can get the 2nd lot into the charger before I go to bed, ready for the kids to take with them.
Had a call from the removalists, oh lordy they will be here at 7:30am
I have spent my day washing sheets and towels, clothes etc and then cheated and dried them at the laundrmat much faster than in our drier, dropping off our PO Box keys, packing suitcases for the girlie's and myself, locating my camera flash that I had packed in a fabric crate (as you do lol), making a countdown til Mummy is back thingie for my baby girlie who is a bit emotional at the moment, collecting all we need for our drive and loading it into the ensuite and generally psyching myself up to say goodbye to my babies at the airport, DH says I will be in tears before I leave the airport, he is wrong I think I will be able to hold it in at least until the packers have gone home for the day lol
and we had to do a bin drop down the road lol becasue ours was stuffed full.
We have confused animals too
the dog won' stop following us around and he is sneaking in at every chance lol, the cat crate came out tonight, Harry had a look, Henry has gone into hiding lol
I'll be back tomorrow night with the promised photos of our travel album

Almost Ready
to go.
I lose my babies, (human & fur) in 2 days not too sure I am going to enjoy that and I am really pleased that DH is taking them to Perth because he won't cry when they leave from Perth lol
We have a couple of things to deliver to friends (swingset and gas bottle) and to be picked up (bar fridge), a bit of slashing to be done, a skip to be collected on Monday sometime, a fridge to be cleaned, lots and lots of cuddles with my girls and we are good to go.
Tonight we went to friends for a bbq, in exchange for my scrapbooking goodies that were in the cupboard (from when we moved in almost 2 years ago) I was given a gorgeous little travel album, I can't wait to fill it in, I'll take some piccies tomorrow and share with you.
My littlest girlie is very excited but a bit worried at the moment, she is concerned that Gumdrops will forget her, but we keep reassuring her that Gumdrops will be waiting in the airport in Melbourne for her when her plane lands. Her sisters just think they are IT because they are flying solo to Melbourne lol
I have cut out ALL my pies and tarts now. I only have 80 of each to stitch together while we are driving, each P & T has 8 sections, very do able I am sure especially when we are driving across the Nullarbor (3 days) and sailing across Bass Strait ( 9hrs by the time we get off)
I can't believe its 3 days until we are living like this again (for a night)
see the red striped box on the couch? That is the 'essentials' box, last on the truck, first off at the other end, in our case it was last on and last off lol. This time I am making a note of the container numbers and I will make sure that it is 1st container they unpack, I NEED coffee in the mornings, and on our last move in day it was 2pm before I got a coffee and DH had to bring it too me lol
and 4 days until I will see this again
soooo exciting :)

We are melting
its soooooooo hot
so he is back inside today don't you just love him
and from yesterday
my fridge cleaner
and the cleaning lady :) who today has helped me shift couches x 3 and 2 armchairs to clean underneath them and she vacummed the hallway.
What a girl
according to weatherzone it's now 46.3 degrees and rising.
the sofa bed and the air con are looking good for tonight :)
Its finished
the purging that is
today I, with the twosomes help, cleaned the inside fridge, we washed all the shelves and bins, scrubbed the inside body and dried it, then re assembled it, and gave the outside the clean of its life.
One girlie had a date with Mr Dyson, they got on very very well lol
the other girlie had a date with Spray and wipe, a bucket of warm water and a cloth and washed down all the kitchen cupboards :)
and they both helped me sort out my sewing corner, which took a good 2 hrs, the littlest girlie had her friend over for a play so she was otherwise occupied.
Tomorrow the rest of the house will meet Mr Dyson and its DH's last day at work and its my 3rd last night at sewing :(
I'm going to miss my twice weekly sewing nights.
and the girlies all fly home in 6 days....
I am going to miss them, I won't see them again until Feb 1......
Have a happy day

Purging
8 garbage bags of clothes that don't fit from 3 bedrooms gone to good sammies
4 garbage bags fromt he linen cupboard. Why wehave had 4 sheet sets per bad is beyond me, we now each have 2 sets of sheets and 2 doona covers.
1 room still to be purged of too small clothing
3 trailer loads to the tip
and a skip arrived today :)
I am being ruthless
if it hasn't been used in 6 months its gone
there is NO rubbish left in this house. I have been sorting boxes that haven't been opened since 2007, when they were packed, lots of crap in them
I have given myself until Thursday morning to get what needs to be done, done, DH finishes work on Wednesday so that will give us 4 days to spend with the girls before they go. Monday will be spent washing, ironing and packing for all of us, cleaning of 2 fridges, making sure we are organised for Tuesday morning, as the removalists will be here packing too, we decided that we are making the ensuite out of bounds to them and we will keep what we need for our drive in there, and the kitties will be in our room until its time to go to the airport.
I took the beast in for a service today when it comes home its going back into its box, along with the overlocker and pinkie, tomorrows job is to sort out my machine corner...wish me luck its out of control.
My baby girl has gone for a sleepover tonight, and it is sooooo quiet without her lol.
The girlies are excited, they are talking alot about Grandma and Grandpa, Max, Ruby and Coco (the cats) and their new house, about their flight to Melbourne on their own (lol), about our house and their old school.
Letting the naughty puppy in last week was a mistake, he is now in at every chance he gets, at least he has started to ignore the kittys, but he is loving the cat biscuits lol
I will be back soon with photos
Have a great week
