The difference between Hank getting sick and the Mom getting Sick.
I don't treat fevers, headaches, body aches, coughs, runny noses, etc...UNLESS they are interrupting sleeping. Otherwise I just let him be sick. I let the fever run its course. We have never used a full bottle of any type of Infant, Toddler, or Junior medicine prior to the expiration date. I always end up throwing bottles of medicine away, and buying new ones the next time. He just doesn't get that sick that often, and I have always thought it best to let it run its course quickly.
Mom getting sick - I treat every little symptom. I mean it isn't like I can sit around and just BE sick for a day or two. I cover up or mask every symptom. Doing my best to still do everything that needs to be done.
Now I am sick and have been off and on for three days. If I take some medicine I am good to go for about 2 hours, then BAM! all the symptoms come right back. Maybe I should learn from how I treat Hank and just let it run its course and get it out of my body.

BedTime Deep Conversations..
Tonights bed time conversation was:
Hank:You know the other day when you told me not to put the ball down on the hill because it would roll down.
Me: Yes
Hank: and I did it anyway...because in my mind is like a class, and I have to show it that you are right.
Me: Like a classroom and your the teacher?
Hank: Yes
Then a few minutes later...
Hank: What is the purpose of the world, of us living.
Me: (seriously how do you answer this!) To Learn Love and Grow
We also talked about why did God put us here, and will he be able to Think and run and play in Heaven. I have no idea why he was in such deep thought today. Maybe having the Hampster pass away made him start thinking.

Scouts....I'm Crazy
So I signed up to be a Den Leader at Hank's scout pack for this year. Tonight was the first night. I am basically sharing a Den of Bear Scouts (3rd Graders) with another Den Leader. The problem is we have totally different ideas of how boys should be behaving and how to handle them. I am going to need to learn patience and how to keep my mouth shut. This ought to be an interesting year!
