I have used some ink splatter, some fun patterned papers and die cut hearts, one of which has been watercolored. the sticker is from tim holtz.

my father passed away unexpectedly and in an instant after a day of fishing on may 7...his favorite past time especially since losing my mom five years ago. it was a shock to us, but he really did get a first class ticket; he died doing what he loved and never knew he left the world! to be parentless is the greatest feeling of emptiness I have ever felt in my life....it is the kind of heartache you can feel in your bones. I will miss them greatly, but I have made it a priority to keep them alive in truth and honor! I anxiously await what the Lord has for me and my hubs, this is a BIG transition and I feel changes coming! always make the most of everyday, life has no guarantees!

Hello and welcome to this weeks simon says stamp wednesday challenge, we are making it masculine this week! We are using tim holtz products to inspire you. Be sure to play along with the simon says stamp monday challenge too, they are making it masculine this week as well. Don't forgot every week at Simon Says Stamp we give away a $50 voucher...wooohooo....now that is worth playing for!

I have used the fun tim holtz stamp set called french market, I choose the argyle shape for the main focus. I little distress ink wash for the background and ink splatter bring it all together. I created this for my dad and whenever I make a card for my hubs or dad I use something a tiny bit feminine or glittery to represent my love for them! The little heart has a bit of stickles over it, I have also used pretty pink posh droplets and nuvo drops.

I am super excited about today's card, it is for my dh for our 9th Anniversary....whoop, whoop! I usually always put something glittery on my cards to him, but decided to use this super fun sentiment from CAS-ual Stamps set Shenanigans! We are gearing up for vaca and we have the best of times, such fun every year! My card is a statement to our anniversary/love as well as our vaca...I really luv it, sure hope he does! I cannot wait to see what you create for our masculine challenge this week. Add a little glimmer to your life...sparkle & shine!

I have used lots of fun stuff from Ranger for my masculine card. I used the Tim Holtz Black Soot Ink Refill and dropped spots of it on top of the silver embossing paste. I luv how it turned out, really bold...perfect for a man! I stamped the argyle stamp from Technique Tuesday set Ali Edwards Dad Rocks, I luv this set and the sentiments...so very cool! A super fun card for Dad, sure hope you are inspired...sparkle & shine!

Super Hero

I have created this card using the newly released Waltzingmouse Stamps, you can get yours here. I used the SCS colors from today's color challenge.  I also used the new sketch challenge from the Chic Challenges, if you have not played along with these ladies, go here to find out more.  I have used a PinkPaislee star, distressed the edges and added a piece of card stock behind the opening.  I also added some navy twine with a button.  That is all from me tonight...have a good rest of the week...enjoy!

Masculine Birthday

I created this for my good friend Deb's challenge of nautical, she has a challenge at the end of every month called Last But Not Least, check it out and play along!  I luv this SU set, it is perfect for those manly creations.  I used the sketch from SCS today, keeping it on the CAS side.  I added scoring that comes out and meets the birthday sentiment.  I added stitching, distressing, and burlap string.  I changed up the shapes a bit from the originally sketch, you know me always making it my own...hehehehe.  These challenges are great to get a few manly cards completed, don't forget The Last But Not Least challenge!  Have a super day and give the man in your life a big hug and a shout out of encouragement....enjoy!

Masculine Card-Praying For You

I played along with several challenges to create today's masculine card.  I really should keep more manly cards on hand, they are like sympathy cards; it seems I never have enough if my stash.  I like to use stars for manly cards like I use flowers on all other cards.  I used My Favorite Things sketch for this one, using the star border die at the bottom.  The sentiment is from the new Verve set Faithful Phrases.  I used black burlap sting and tied it with a chunky brown button, distressing, and a little stitching complete my card.

It is back to work tomorrow, it is a short week for me and a super long weekend ahead.  I get Friday and Monday for Easter.....I am looking very forward to it!  I have had to work the last three weeks without a week off...lol.  I am hoping for another week off come the first of May.  Hope your evening is great...enjoy!

Ace Of Cakes Inspired Card-Praise God

Hi friends, I have a quick challenge card to share....I need a manly card for a fellow in our church who was in a horrible truck accident.  He is going to be ok, it could have been much, much worse, so we are praising God for the miracle.  I used Tim Holtz stamps to make this collage on the tag shape and then I added the Verve sentiment using A Cut Above Verve Dies to frame it.  The sentiment is from the new set Faithful Phrases.  I also used a cake from today's IC280 as my inspiration, you can see it here.  Have a super Saturday evening, we have nothing bad rain today, some ares 3 or 4 inches.....we are ready for sunshine......enjoy!
