Maurnee's here

Well, Maurnee made it even tho she did have a slight miss hap in Wyoming. The person she was traveling with was driving when her car spun out of control and they went off the road, got a minor dent, and her friend got a ticket for not maintaining her lane... makes you wonder sometimes. It's nice to have her here. And we are looking forward to many fun times. It's hard not to have fun times when she's around.

Little Thane is getting Baptized this weekend and we all get to go see it. It's nice to have everyone back in the Pacific Northwest... Minus Dad.

And Ava is learning how to use the potty. Which means I spend my evening washing out underwear, and cleaning little wet spots on the floor. I guess I can't complain since I know Char does a lot more than I do. At least we are to the point where she only pees a little bit, says she's wet, and does the rest in the toilet so we're getting there.

This all reminds me of the time we were training Natalie, and she had to "read" magazines when she was going.

Was I this Bad?

My goodness my kids are driving me Crazy! Ava is constantly yelling at me because she is sick and Natalie and Lexie are fighting like siblings, which usually culminates into a she said-she said type argument so as any good father would do I just yell at them both. and then I look at Char and she says "don't say it" referring to me asking the age old question... Are you sure you want another one?

Oh well they are cute too at time... this was just a bad weekend/monday. Like there is nothing better than watching them sing the music to Hairspray especially when they sing in their sassy voice "Watch out for that moving van coming down the street. You better lock up your man before he meets, the new girl in town..."

Well before I go I'll remind all that I do love my girls, who couldn't love these cute kids!
Here are some pics. at better times. Playing in their friend Lincoln's John Deere.

We are really boring

So Char and I just got back from our anniversary trip, and we learned that we are quite the boring pair. On our first day by ourselves without kids we looked at each other after about four hours and said..."now what are we going to do" We had no kids to occupy our time, needless to say we got caught up on the history channel, and I can probably tell you everything you need to know about the 101st airborne division, and the gang MS 13.

But we did have a great time, and we actually hit the slopes, something we hadn't done for several years.

here are some pics.

Here is char and I at hoodoo, lots of snow but it warmed up too much and got a little slushy.

But as you can tell we have had a great snow year!

Ten Years...

Well more than ten years ago I met the love of my life, and on February 12th we will be celebrating our ten year anniversary. But some people may recall that I met her about 4 years previous to that when I was in High school and Shon had a crush on this girl from Nu Acres, so we went out to see her one night, and the only thing she remembers is that I was the weird one. Well I guess that the weirdness wore off, or it was me singing Dan Fogelberg (the song Longer is still our song) or it was just the good tips Steve W., Dale W. and I left her at Country Kitchen...probably the later. By that time in her life she had set her sights high and swore she was going to marry a man at least 6'4" but somehow she fell in love with all 5' 11" and 3/4 of me (she always reminds people of the 3/4, and she hardly ever wears heels) and no mater what she tells people, she kissed me first. As you all know we did get married, and every year she struggles to get me to write in a book that we write in every year on our anniversary, so I am hoping this works instead.

We've gone through school, 3 kids (so far) and eleven days in a hospital with a spontaneous pneumothorax, and I still love her, more and more each day. She is by far my perfect lady, and I am glad we have forever to be with each other. So I am going to end this post the same way I would end our letters.

I love you Char,

eternally yours,

Jut

Us on one of our 10k's, one of our newest things to do. However not thanks to me, but her friend Suz.
