Rolling Over and Pretty in Pearls

Sydney is going to be getting professionals pictures done next week so I was doing some "Test Shots" of her in her pearls ( actually they are my moms). I thought it might be good to get her get used to them so she knows what to do next Thursday. So here are some pictures that I thought turned out cute. Also, being that Sydney is now 5 months old now she has started to roll over on her sides. She still is getting so close to fully rolling over. However, she loves to roll on her sides and play with her toys. For her little world this is a new found glory. In addition to rolling on her sides Sydney has discovered her feet. And O, can I tell you she loves her feet. Most of the time I have to take her socks off because they get in her way. It is truly amazing how fast babies grow and how each day they discover something new. I love being a mom and I even more love being a mom to Sydney. Click here for more pictures of Sydney.

Just like my Daddy

Sydney started to play with my hair when I hold her a certain way. It is the cutest thing ever, and not to mention it feels so good!!! I like to think of her new "playing with hair" skills that she got from Quinton. For those who have been hiding under a rock he is a Hair Stylist. So after Sydney started to get the hang of things she started to play with Quinton's hair too. If any of you are lucky enough she might even play with your hair.

Jump, Jump, Jump

Quinton and I have a door jumper (You know the jumpers that hang from the doorway). So we decided that one day to try it out since Sydney is holding up her head really good now. She kind of just really sits there and hangs out and does very little jumping. And being new parents that we are, we thought it was so cute. Every once in a while she would get a burst of energy and jump but she really just sits there and move around in a circle. We think it is cute. Hope you enjoy it. Matching and puzzles

On Sunday, not on purpose Sydney and I were matching. How cute. I knew what I was going to wear and what Sydney was going to wear I just did not put it together that we would match. However, everyone at church thought it was so cute. So naturally we had to take a picture. I have been working on a puzzle that we got for Christmas for about 1 1/2 months ( it is hard to do a puzzle when you have a baby). However, I can finally say I have finished it. And as I am sure you all can see that I am missing 2 pieces and I can not find them anywhere. But not bad for being a 1,000 piece puzzle and only loosing 2 pieces. I am just proud of myself for finally finishing it.

The good and the bad

Well here is some good and bad news for everyone. The good news is one of my Best Friends Jennifer who currently lives in Oklahoma who has been struggling to get pregnant for a while is now pregnant. But they are not have just one baby, but two!!!! I am so excited for them and I know they will make amazing parents. Her babies are due Early October, so that means that Sydney and her twins will be around one year apart ( well depending when the babies actually get here). But I am so thrilled for her and this exciting new adventure. To the left is a picture of us about 4- 4 1/2 years ago. Don't we look so young?

The bad news is that my little Sydney is very sick ( it is the saddest thing in the world to see your baby sick). Last sunday Quinton and I realized that she was getting a really bad cough and a runny nose. Soon came the high fevers and all that bad stuff. We took her to the E.R early tuesday morning and found out more bad news. She has RSV, which for those who don't know can be deadly to infants if not caught in time. Thanks goodness we did. She almost had to be hospitalized but after swearing to the doctor that I would take wonderful care of her and look out for all the bad signs, they let us take her home. In my oppinion babies do better when they are at home. So she is doing a little better but not to much progress. The doctor said she could have it up to 2 weeks and RSV is highly contagious and is air born. So watch out parents!!! We will give you all a update on how our little girl is doing.

Saying hello

Here is a video of Sydney talking to me. She has the cutest voice I just love to hear it. Enjoy

Happy Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day everyone ( well Happy Belated Valentines day) I hope everyone had a wonderful day. I am really starting to enjoy this holiday now that I am married ( it is a lot more fun). I got Quinton a singing card and a movie. He bought me a sweet card and 2 movies No Reservations and Two Weeks Notice. Chick flicks, I love it. However since Quinton normally has to work all day on thursday ( he leaves at 9 am and comes home at 10 Pm) I know it is a really long day. But her changed his schedule and got to come home at 8:30 pm. It was such a nice surprise to see him. Friday night we got a babysitter and went out to dinner then dancing. It really was a fun night. I do have to say that Quinton is the best husband and I love him so much. Sydney has this t-shirt that said " Dad's sweet heart", I thought it would be cute for her to wear it on Valentines day. Here are some pictures of her wearing that T-shirt. We all hope everyone had a great Valentines day. Click here for more pictures.

As cute as a Button

I know that I keep on saying this but I love being a mom. Sydney is such a wonderful and easy baby. Her little personalitly is coming out more and more each day. She truely is a happy baby. She loves to smile at anyone that walks by her and just giggles and laughes with us all day. However, as she gets bigger that only means one thing. More of her cute clothes as starting to fit her better!!! YEAH!!!! I love it. Sydney truely has a lot of adorable clothes and she just looks cuter and cuter when she wears them. She got this cute outfit from our old Bishop's wife and it is a Pouncho with matching hat, skirt and shirt. So naturally that is what she wore to church last sunday. She looked so beautiful. I still can not believe that my little princess is going to be 5 months on the 25th of this month.

Sucking away

Here is a video of Sydney sucking her thumb. As you can tell she is a loud thumb sucker. Enjoy!!!

My little thumb sucker

You read that right... my little girl is now a thumb sucker. Last night she was playing with her toys then both Quinton and I heard this really loud sucking sound. We looked over at Sydney and she was sucking her thumb!!! Can you believe it. She contiuned to suck her thumb for the rest of the night. And to make things more interesting, she only sucks on her left thumb. We have been watching her closely and have noticed she really like to use her left hand. It is still a little early to tell if she is left handed but we'll see. Besides sucking on her thumb she loves to suck on the hands of the person that is holding her... so beware everyone.

4 months old

Yep, our little girl is 4 months old. She is getting bigger and developing into her our little person more and more each day. We just took her to her 4 month check up and she now weighs.... 12 lb 7 oz and is 23 inches long. Can you believe it? She loves looking at her hands and will stare at them for a long time and she smiles at anyone who will smile at her. She is a very friendly baby. She is laughes all the time and at the most random things. I will just walk by her and smile and she will just start laughing like it was the funniest thing in the world. Her head control is getting really good to, however, she is still a little wobbly. She even has rolled over a couple of times on our bed ( we are working on the carpet now). She is not quite sure if she likes being on her stomach and definenltly does not like eating her rice cereal with a spoon. Her food just kind of stays in her mouth and she has a look of "What am I supposed to do with it now?" kind of look. It is so funny. We are just so blessed to have such a wonderful little girl who brings so much joy and love into our home. Click here for more pictures of Sydney.
