Our Christmas

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas this year. It was been a crazy year for us full of up's and down's. We are so thankful for our families and how close they both live to us. They are such a inspiration and blessing in our lives. We had another great christmas as well, Sydney loved it this year. This is the first real year that she has been into Christmas so it was so much fun for us. She still asks about Santa and even wondered if he was going to be at church last sunday. We got her tons of baby stuff for all her baby needs and needless to say she loves it all. Both grandparents got her great gifts that I know she will love throughout the year. One of my favorites is a potty training book, something we are going to start the beginning of the year ( wish us luck). Then we went to my parents for a great lunch then up to Quintons for a fabulous dinner. It was a packed filled day full of family and lots of sweet memories.

Sydney Christmas morning... don't you love the hair?

Colter and Holly were able to come down from Utah. It was so much fun seeing them both and we miss them dearly.

Here she is... our little girl Bella

So the other day I got another ultrasound ( the perks on going to a specialist for this pregnancy). Don't worry everything is going great and she is doing fabulous. I just have to see a specialist because of some certain medications that I am on. However, she is now 1lb 5 oz, it is amazing that they can tell that isn't it? But here is our little girl Bella or more of a profile of her. She is quite photogenic and she always poses for the technician every time there is an ultrasound. But here she is and hope everyone has a wonderful Merry Christmas.

More belly shots..

Here is an updated picture of my belly, personally I think I am getting huge. The 1st pic. is of  me at 23 weeks with Bella, the bottom picture is of me at 24 weeks with Sydney. I think I am bigger with this pregnancy then Sydney but we will let you all decide. However, everything is going great and I feel even better. So far no swollen feet and Carpal Tunnel ( knock on wood) but I am only 24 weeks so we will see. Bella is a lot lower then Sydney too, that has me concerned to the point that I think she will come quicker too. But only time will tell.

It's my birthday!!!

Last wednesday I had my 27th birthday. Can you believe it? Seriously where does the time go? But it was a great birthday, more of a good birthday week. We had a birthday dinner with my family last sunday with a cheese cake as my birthday cake...yummy. And since Quinton was out of town I stayed with my parents for the week, so my mom took me out to see New Moon again ( yes my mom and I are twihards). Then when Quinton got back he took me out to dinner on friday. Not bad huh. It was a great week and even Sydney wished me Happy Birthday and gave me a hug and kiss. I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful family that loves me. Thanks to everyone for making me feel so special. I love you all!!!

Christmas time!!!

I love Christmas time so much. It seems like everyone is just a little bit nicer and everything. Besides, my birthday and Christmas happen to be 9 days apart. We always get a real christmas tree every year and this was a extra special christmas since Sydney could help us decorate this year. She loved putting on the christmas ornaments and she thought she was pretty cool that she got to put them wherever she wanted ( yeah, she is a big girl now). She absolutely goes crazy over the christmas lights, especially at night when we are driving. This is a conversation we have every time she sees more lights ( probably about 10-15 times while driving)

Sydney " Mommy look, lights"
Mommy "yes sydney, look at the pretty lights"
Sydney " O Thank you mommy"
Mommy " Your welcome princess"
Sydney " look mommy more lights"
Mommy " yes baby, more lights"
Sydney " O thank you Mommy"

Seriously we go through that conversation every time she sees new lights, we think it is hilarious. She always thanks us for the lights every time. I think she thinks we put all the lights out just for her. Whatever she thinks, we are just happy she likes Christmas time and can not wait till Christmas morning. Merry Christmas everyone!!!

The new little mommy

So since I have been pregnant, Sydney has gotten way into babies. She now wakes up and makes her babies breakfast from her little kitchen and feeds them in her high chair. Don't worry, we got her lots of stuff for her babies this christmas. She rocks them in her rocking chair, tells me to be quiet when they are sleeping and everything. It really is so cute and I am highly encouraging all of this. So when our little baby girl comes  She has even started potty training her babies as well ( something we just started too). Sydney can take care of her babies when I am taking care of Bella. She takes her babies everywhere with us now. So here are some pictures of Sydney feeding her babies and rocking them. Enjoy!!!

So we are having a ....

So 2 days before thanksgiving we found out what are baby is. We are having another little girl!!! We are so excited to be having another girl to the house hold. I know that Sydney is stoked about having a sister. I think this is going to be perfect since the girls will be 2 1/2 years apart. One of the nicest things about having another girl is that we already have all her clothes. Sydney has so many cute clothes and I am way excited to use them all over again. We do have a name for her and before we tell you the name let me say we decided this name over a year ago. Her name will be Bella, not Isabella or anything like that just Bella. We fell in love with the name when we went over to Spain last summer. I know that everyone will think it is after Twilight, and even though we are big fans of the Twilight series, our little girl is not named after the main character. However, we can not wait to see our little Bella when she comes into this world in April!!!

A review

Okay, so can I just say that our life never slows down. It seems we are constantly on the go. Everything is going great in our family. Quinton is still working hard as ever, Sydney continues to go and become more of a little girl and my pregnancy is going great. Here is a little over view of what has been going on lately.

Halloween was good, Sydney was a witch and a cheetah. Everything went well until we took her trick or treating and the very first house scared her to death. It scared her so bad that she is still talking about the scary.

Thanksgiving was so much fun. My sister Tara, her husband David and all 5 of their kids came to Colorado for a Rocky Mountain Thanksgiving. I wish we could of given them more snow but they loved the 1/2 inch of snow that we received that week. Anything that you could do with 1/2 inch of snow, they did it. It was so fun to watch them all. We loved seeing everyone and how big all their kids are getting. Probably the best thing was seeing my sister. She is also pregnant and is due 4 weeks before me. She is having another little girl, which makes it 2 boys and 4 girls. It was a wonderful visit and we can not wait to see them again We love you guys!!!
Which leaves me to one of our last updates. We finally had to say farewell to my beloved PC. It had been a great computer, which lasted through collage and 3 1/2 years of our marriage. Unfortunately after it's accident over the summer that involved the lightning it was finally on its last legs. So what did we get you ask? Well if you ask Quinton a SEXY LOOKING COMPUTER as he puts it. We are now Mac people!!! It is a really nice computer and so far we love it. So farewell PC, hello MAC!!!

Sydney and Quinton

So this is Sydney and Quinton right before he lives for work. I am highly impressed that we got a smile so early in the morning. O how she loves her daddy. Sometimes she does not want to let him go. She is such a snuggle bug with her daddy.

Falling for Sydney

So a couple of weeks ago we were up at Quinton's parents home and I decided to take some pictures of Sydney in the fall. They turned out pretty well considering she is a rambunctious little 2 year old that will not hold still for a second. O how we love this little girl, She is the light of our lives.

Here is the belly...

Okay, after many requests here is a belly shot Quinton took last night ( sorry about the pajama bottoms... it was Sunday night). I am 16 weeks now and everything is going great. The babies heart beat has been consistently between 170-178. I have my own theory about heart rates and the sex of the baby. But we will see soon enough ( next month... yeah) on what we are having. I personally think I am huge for 16 weeks, but I hear you show sooner with the 2nd pregnancy. Enjoy the picture!!!

The Official Introduction

So everyone here is our new little baby making it's first appearance to the world. Yesterday I had an ultrasound of the baby and here are one of the pictures ( or the best one at lease). There is only 1 baby, it is about 2 inches long, it's heart beat was 178 and I am officially 12 weeks and 5 days along. And no, we still do not know what the sex is yet. That is later. But here is our little baby Montgomery or more of a side profile of our baby. Enjoy!!!

For Laughs and giggles here is our little princess with her mommy and daddy.
Can you see who she still looks like more?

Laurel Reunion

So there are a bunch of girls I have know for 17 years or so. We all have been in the same classes throughout church and even graduated together and everything. Every couple of years we all try to get together and have a lunch or something. It is so much fun seeing everyone again. Even our old YW leader Sis. Muirhead came to visit us during our lunch to chat. I can not even tell you have much it means to still have these girls in my life. They mean so much to me as they were part of all my childhood and teenage years. So about a month or so ago we all got together when Jennifer ( who lives in California) was in town. All I can say is that it was so much fun to see everyone and we only had about 3 girls missing from our group. Not bad huh. It is hard to believe now that all of us are moms. Where does the time go.

Hat's Off...

So Sydney is going through this trying to dress herself, put anything on and wear a hat phase. It is so funny, mainly because she thinks she looks fabulous ( and of course we think she does). So here are some pictures of her wearing some hats she found around the house.

There is nothing better then pretending to go potty and brush your teeth at the same time
Look at the pretty girl smile
Is there anything better then wearing sunglasses and crocks over your PJ's?
What can I say about this picture... she is such a goof ball
So stylish with the gloves and a everyday outfit... can you say fashion forward?
She is trying to salute our troups while she is wearing my cousin David's old AFA hat

Turning 2 Years old

Yep, you all read that right. Our little girl has officially turned 2 years old on Friday. It was a great weekend, Friday night we had a little celebration with Quinton's family ( Sydney's Aunt Bianca's birthday is also the same day). So it was a great little party, then on Saturday was the big one with all my family and Quinton's and just a few friends. Sydney LOVED IT!!! I mean loved it, it was the most hyper and happy I have ever seen her. She just ran and played with all her cousins and BFF Avery. Needless to say she crashed by the end of the day. She got some great clothes, toys and most importantly baby dolls and a stroller. It was so much fun to have all of our family together in one place. It was a magical day for us all. I still can not believe how much she has grown. Coming into this world at 5 lb 11 oz and is now almost 30 lbs. Wow. She is the love of our lives and we can not wait till she is a big sister, she will be great. We love you Sydney... our little princess.

Here we go again....

Okay, so this is a very exciting post for me today. I have been waiting a while and making sure everything was going okay before I put this up on our blog. What you may be asking.... well I am pregnant again!!! Yeah, we are so excited to be having another baby to our little family. I am currently 11 1/2 weeks along and my due date is April 9, 2010. Only 8-9 more weeks till we find out the sex of the baby!!!

So far everything is going great, besides being super nauseous all the time. We heard the babies heart beat for the first time yesterday and it was magical. I did not want to say anything to anyone until I saw my doctor and I could hear the heart beat. Now that we got that cleared the whole world can know now. Sydney is very excited as well, she thinks she is pregnant with a baby too. She is consistently lifting up her shirt so she can show me her baby in her belly. It is the cutest thing. Sydney and the baby will be about 2 1/2 years apart and we love the spacing between them. We will keep you all posted with all the progress.

And yes, for those people wondering if I already have a baby bump.... just a small one.

Some bad news...

So one of the drawbacks to living so high up in the mountains are the storms. Even though they are so beautiful with all the colors and the lightning everywhere, the lightning can get pretty close. Unfortunately one day I did not get to my computer fast enough to turn it off and BANG... a HUGE lightning strike right next to our house. The result was we lost power for a minute and our computer died. Yes, my sweet computer from college has died. So that is pretty much the main reason on why I have not updated our blog in a couple of weeks. Quinton and I are trying to figure out the cheapest way to fix it. I hate being without the Internet... I feel so out of touch with the world. So this post is coming off of my parents computer.

Everyone is fine and doing well in our little family. Sydney is growing and talking more and more everyday. Her hair is now down to her shoulders and she has beautiful Blonde curls. I love it. She is going to be turning 2 next month, so I will do a big post about that... can you believe our little girl is going to be 2.

On another bad note, my father - in- law got into a terrible car accident a couple of weeks ago in Gunnison. Thank goodness he is still here with us, unfortunately I can not say the same thing for his car. He ended up with 5 fractured vertebrae in his neck, 2 in his back, 9 broken ribs and a collapsed lung. After spending almost 2 weeks in the hospital, he is finally home. YEAH!!! WE have missed him so much and I know we all have been worry sick over him. I would like to say thank you to everyone for all the prayers, love and support. He is doing better and better everyday.

4th of July

So, yet again, I am late posting but better late then never. Our 4Th of July was so much fun ( well in the beginning) we started out going down to the springs to have a breakfast with my parents ward in the morning then heading back up to Woodland Park for an "Old Fashion" 4Th of July as they call it. They were tents, rides, a play ground and fun music. It was so much fun just taking it easy and just walking around. That is until we got hail the size of grapes... yes grapes. Then a huge thunderstorm that lasted the whole evening came. Unfortunately we had no fireworks and we had all of our family crammed into our small apartment for the whole afternoon and evening. Good thing is we were able to go to Symphony above the Clouds the next day and watch fireworks there. It was a rainy 4Th of July but a fun one.

A Child Family Reunion

So again, I post about how I am late about posting stuff. My reasoning are not really good, I just never got around to it. But nether less, here it is. In June my family had a CHILD reunion. The main reason was that my sister and her husband was going to be in Utah for the weekend and since we were going to see her, might as well see everyone else. It was an amazing weekend, I loved seeing my sister again ( it has been 2 years since the last time I saw her), she got to meet Sydney and see the rest of our cousins. We went to a Temple Open House, that in it self was absolutely amazing and beautiful. To be in the Temple with all of my family ( my parents, siblings, Quinton and Sydney) was a unforgettable morning that I will always cherish forever. Then last we met up with the rest of our family and had a huge BBQ at the church. There were so many of us, that we had no where else to go. I loved seeing cousins, aunts and uncles that I have not seen in many years. What a wonderful and cherished time we had together. On Sunday we went to see the Spoken Word, at the end of the broadcast we were tolled that the Prophet was there. I could not believe it, I have never met the prophet or seen him before in person. It was truly a special moment. Then we all went back to my aunts house for an amazing lunch and dinner. On Monday and Tuesday we devoted to spending time with Quinton's side of the family. He has all of his aunts, uncles, cousins, both sets of grandparents that all live in Utah and Wyoming. I was so glad that Sydney got to meet and get to know better her great grandparents. She is the only Great Grand daughter on both side, so it was a lot of fun. To make things even better we got to see Quinton's brother Colter and his new wife Holly. They just moved to Utah and are attending BYU... go Cougars!!! Even though it was only a couple of weeks ago that we saw them. We got to see their apartment which is literally a block away from the Provo Temple.... Amazing. On Tuesday we drove up to Wyoming to spend the day with Quinton's Aunt Karen and her family. They are so sweet and were so good to us. It truly was an amazing weekend full of fun, laughs and most of all love. It was probably the most special seeing my sister since visits are rare and few ( it can be hard when you live all the way in Alabama). Thank you to everyone, we love you all!!!
