2009: A Wrap Up

Pejam celik dah hujung tahun dah nih. Tahun ni memang mencabar utk seluruh keluarga aku. From the beginning of the year till the end. Not a good year for me, I think. The family feud went on with my parents’ secret unveiled and my mom went into depression together with my late dad failing health. Then, followed by death of family members (my late aunt and my uncle from dad’s side and lastly my late dad) about 3 months apart from each other. My dad passed away in Ramadhan and this is the 1st year that we celebrated Raya without him. DH lost his job at the uni and luckily, we survived the crisis with my side business income for nearly 3 months. He got a new job as HoU for a Government Agency at the city center but his traveling routine took my liberty of working late. We have spent less days with the in laws at Kemaman this year, not sure why but I believe it was due to limited leaves for DH when he started working at the new company. The kids enrolled into a nice Islamic Montessori school with reasonable fees. They can write, read, color and draw on their own better than last year. DH and I were struggling to finish up our Masters with late night study and writings. Work-wise was quite impressive although some of the things were in just by luck. For example, the company picked me as the one of the best researchers, and into the Talent Pool. DH maintained as OUM part-time lecturer and after we advertised his expertise in SPSS and EViews analysis online, more work coming in for him. Alhamdulillah. I closed my long-term project successfully ahead of time and secured another project before the year end. I went to Bakun Dam for work and outstation increases this year compared to last. My house still the same without new improvement and the lawn is still an empty greenish carpet with few planters on the rocks. We had a nice breakaway in February to Penang, but that was the only one this year.
This is a bittersweet year for me and my family. We gained something and lost something along the way. The biggest challenge was to swallow the whole truth about our relationship in my family. Many things we have taken for granted and we have learnt the lesson in a hard way. When I reflect those memories, I knew I am not a kind-hearted person but I am learning to be one. As another year has passed, I vowed to enjoy the life fully as though I will leave tomorrow and never come back. Praise to Allah, who has given all the beautiful gifts, joys and sorrows throughout this year, of which He knew we can endure. May the year ahead bring joy and happiness for every one of us. Amiin.

Okay lah kan.. since Monday pun kena cuti since anak-anak masuk sekolah and kena bayar yuran etc so this one can be part of the revenue for the kids i.e. bayar monthly fees diaorg lah.. hehehe..

Keretaku..

Hari ni kereta ku pulak buat hal.. mujur lah perasan sebaik sahaja keluar rumah.. tayar belakang pancit kena skru yg dtg entah dari mana.. bagus juga anak-anak aku buka tingkap pagi-pagi, dpt dengar bunyi pelik tayar belakang tuh.. terpaksa lah DH tolong tukar tayar depan kedai akak jual kuih .. the girls seronok lah tengok ayahnye tukarkan tayar.. diaorg recall balik insiden tayar avanza pancit just after traffic light kat BSP. Kes Avanza tu lagi teruk sbb first time pancit, tayar spare pun aku tak tau ada kat mana dgn jack yg tk bley keluar. Tapi time tu ada mekanik lalu tolong aku, but then DH pun patah balik (selepas sampai KL pusing balik BSP). And tayar tu tak ganti pun lagi.. lambat lagi masuk ofis hari nih.. tengahari nnti nk kena gi kedai tayar pulak settle kereta tuh.. patut nye this week pegi service avanza tp aku teramatlah byk keje, and DH pun tak follow up dgn charge service tu, so biar je lah.. next week boleh gi kot sbb aku kena ambik cuti 4^th Jan anak masuk school, yuran sume tak bayar lagi.. and I have been carrying the yurans everywhere (sungguh bahaya!)..

Apa pun, sungguh lah tak faham, musim cuti sekolah kali ni 2 kali dah tayar kereta aku pancit sbb skru. Kifarah apa ni ye.. adakah Feng Shui rumah aku dah tak betul sbb wall deco sticker tuh? Or sebab 2 ekor turtle dalam rumah. Entah ler..

Hari ni kena produktif sbb semalam aku tengok GG sampai 5 episodes – Season 2 tak habis lagi. Chuck and Blair sungguh comel. Little J yg mental, Lonely Boy dan S yg entah apape. Nak tengok lagi tp keje kena buat dulu.

Bonus oh Bonus

Hujung tahun mesti mengira bonus.. itu pun kalau ada nasib baik dapat le banyak sket. Tahun ni walaupun parent company untung, subsidiary dapat seciput je. Last year aku dpt KPI rating rendah sket, tp bonus nye sama banyak dgn tahun ini, yang mana tahun ni aku dpt KPI rating tinggi sket. Kesimpulannye, naik turun KPI tak memberi makna pun pada subsidiary. Lebih-lebih lagi kalau subsidiary tu terover OPEX nyer.. lagi parah le. Whatever pun, selepas dicampur tolak darab bahagi dgn expenses dan hutang piutang yg perlu dibayar, adalah sikit utk beli Saham 1Malaysia tu dan simpan ASB. January nnti start balik gaji macam biasalah. Yg pasti LHDN ambik tax banyakk! Tak kuasa aku.. menyampah gak PCB ni sbb tiap-tiap tahun aku over paid, pas tu nk claim balik punyelah liat LHDN nk bayar. Lain kali aku story pasal kes aku dgn LHDN tuh.

A phone call..

It is amazing how technology helps you stay close to your family with just a phone call. I have been dreading to call my mom for couple of weeks considering that we cannot visit her during the long holidays – the weather is bad, nabilah has to attend classes, DH’s exam in Kemaman. The latest news DH’s dinner with SDARA Alumni on Saturday night! Ada ke patut.. buat le time lain yg org takde cuti panjang. I just hope I can attend my Alumni’s dinner next year (tahun ni dh lepas and I did not go because it’s pricey – RM100 for a dinner that we don’t actually eat because we’ll be too busy talking and mocking each other while dinner is on).

Anyway, I have spoken to my mom and she’s fine. Alhamdulillah. But she’s not over with my late dad’s second wife actions – this time the lady took half of my late dad’s pension money. So mak cuma dapat separuh because that woman claimed another half (and she already got a whole lot of pension money from her late 1^st husband, a grocery shop, lands etc – she IS a wicked woman after all). My family story has become like a drama plot. Adakah ini akibat daripada selalu tengok drama Melayu yg penuh sandiwara itu? Entah ler.. and my mom decided there will be no 100-day kenduri arwah because she felt that the other ‘wicked’ wife should throw a 100-day feast for stolen the pension money. So, after the land titles are settled, we will only have ‘thanksgiving’ feast for the whole village. Btw, the aunts and uncles from my late dad’s side have not shown their faces at my mom’s house since the funeral day. Do I still call them my family? I doubt it now.

This Saturday will be my Mom’s 62^nd birthday – gonna buy her some books to read to pass the time at home, and MPH is having a 20% sale at Alamanda Courtyard. Or should I buy her a magazine subscription instead? After all, she likes to stay at home and work in her garden.

Daripada eCosway, Zhulian, Shuang Hor, Era Edar, Hiraq, GTC, dan yg latest nih – Jus MonaVie. Ni sume network marketing (lebih kurang mcm Multi Level Marketing tp aku consume je bukannye dok menjual pun.. hehehe). Perfume je yg aku serius sket sbb demand banyak and paling penting PFA tu retail of high quality at affordable costs. Okay, berbalik pada Jus MonaVie ni.. aku kenal pun sbb satu blog ni yg bg review bagus tentang Jus MonaVie nih yg baru nk masuk Malaysia. Sebagai veteran (perasan!) dlm network marketing and MLM ni, org yg paling awal perkenalkan produk yg bagus ada banyak advantage i.e. senang nk dpt networkers lah although niat aku nk try health supplement yg diperbuat dari 100% fruit juices mostly from berries for own consumption lah. Rasa nye okay, tak de lah masam sangat. Just nice. Akak yg promote aku Jus MonaVie ni mmg vogue. Sekali pandang mcm garang, tp dia ok je. Setahun tua dari aku, tp nampak dia tua dari umurnye, maybe kurang ketawa kot. Hehe. Dia kata aku ada kolestrol banyak sbb muka aku ada jeragat. Mmg betul pun. Hehehe. Masa aku gi produk demo Zhulian BYoung, agent tu pun bagitau serupa. Kira betu lah apa diaorg observe cuma aku je tak reti-reti nk turunkan kolestrol tu sbb aku sememangnye suka makan makanan yg sedap-sedap. Hehe. So, diharapkan Jus MonaVie dapat menolong kurangkan kolestrol jahat dalam badan aku lah ye. Testimoni dari org lain memang banyak, dan harapnye semua tu betul dan sahih bukan direkacipta utk mencantikkan promosi dan marketing Jus MonaVie ni ye..

Kalau aku nk tambah produk pun cuma dalam website dan aku jual murah je lah, setakat lepas maintenance pas tu kot2 orang tu nk join membership Jus MonaVie ni. Selepas cuti panjang..

Aku tak check email pun kt rumah. Masuk ofis pagi nih buka inbox.. mak aii!! 21 emails.. baru 3 hari tak keje. Silap pulak terserempak dgn boss yg dh tolong buatkan MTC paper aku. Hehehe. Terima kasih Boss!

Anyway, last weekend cuti Awal Muharram – Friday till Sunday. Friday duduk rumah, muhasabah diri dan family i.e spent the whole day indoor with food, games and a little spring cleaning effort. Saturday sibuk dgn Ballet Class si kakak dan wedding office mate kat Bdr Seri Putra. Sunday was movie outing day for Princess & the Frog and also visit to SIL kat Bt Caves (balik pukul 11 malam and this morning the kids susah sgt lah nk buka mata pegi rmh babysitter). Along the way were Gossip Girl sessions – Serena van de Woodsen, Blair Waldorf, Dan Humphrey and Nate Archibald. Best gak layan cite nih – Manhattan elite teenage group stories with endless parties, brand names shopping and puppy love. I guess this series fall under 18SX or PG13. Definitely not U type of TV Series.

Last week blog kena hacked and virus dh merebak, tk sure from which script yg aku install so aku delete je lah. This is the new blog. Coincidentally new year with new blog. This time my blog will be closed door. Private and confidential. Selepas aku hebahkan kepada rakan-rakan follower ku, pintu akan ditutup.

Header hilang?

Entah kenapa saya tak dapat view header blog sendiri, nampak kejap je pas tu hilang sepi.. terpaksalah type url blog rakan2 satu persatu.. mungkin sebab nk balik kampung hari tu, blog header pun merajuk kot.. or admin office ni dah block blog saya itu..

Hari ni baru masuk ofis selepas cuti 4 hari setengah.. meeting dgn supervisor cancelled tp ada meeting lain pulak. Akak Jus Monavie tu sungguh aktif menelefon bila boleh buat appointment. Bila-bila free sikit nnti boleh write in cerita cuti-cuti di kampung DH tempohari. Pantai, makanan dan sebagainya.

Buat masa ini, banyak laporan nk disiapkan. Gaji tak masuk lagi. YES terpaksa dibekukan. Walau bagaimanapun, baju kurung viscos cotton-ku telah siap. Suka nye saya J J

One moment

For one moment, I am deeply saddened with one of managers’ remark in my appeal for extension of unpaid leave back in 2006. They lack of empathy, not supporting the staff need to care for the family while accompanying the spouse. Let say we have no financial crisis during that time; I won’t be coming back here definitely. Until this morning, I did not know the fact the remarks were so harsh that I stopped for a moment to reflect on things that I have contributed to the company and whether my sacrifice for the company is worth for myself and my family. I realized that after 2006 until now, many people left the company especially those in specialized area to gain more outside working as consultant for the company. The company forbid one employee unpaid leave extension on the ground that the operation will be disturbed, the company lost a bunch of experts to outside companies. What you give, you get more of that without realizing it. It is a good thing for a good man like the late MD to support tiny people like me, but others are not. My prayers for his soul, Al-Fatihah. I am working with hypocrites in the office. I may think again about continuing the studies full time overseas and let other think about how to continue (or survive) the markets. For one moment, I felt that I barely exist in the company and moreover, working hard but not compensated fairly.

We've cleared..

The boss, AAR balik hari ni. Actually masuk ofis hari ni je, then he continued the leave until next year. What a bliss, to have a long year-end break. So luck he is, one project approved during his absence. Dengan ada nya boss hari ni, siaplah KPI kami untuk tahun ini. Lega rasanya, although some of the KPIs are not meant to be excellently executed. Ikut nasib lah kan. For me, up till now, baru je collect about 200K, mana nk cari the remaining 601K unless I put in extra hours for new project. So, I am targeting 801K to get excellent lah. We are cleared from the chain of online appraisal. Of which, I think only help in administration but implementation-wise still weak lah. I mean how you can ensure that everyone will honestly rate themselves. Surely put excellent lah to increase the rating. Our group went by the book, so, kalau tak meet target tuh tk payah le nk merayu ke apa ke nak naikkan rating. I personally does not want to burden my immediate boss, and by doing that I impose the same routine to my so-called sub-ordinates lah.. emm..

This week tinggal esok je. These last two weeks are the best time to work because less people will interrupt you and the bosses (most of them) will take a long leave. And bonus pun masuk lah tp seciput je.. sedey tahun nih. Entah apa boleh dibuat dgn bonus seciput tu saya pun tak tahu lah.

But I am glad that the boss has come back for few hours J

1. Giving - amount yg diberi dh dpt cover balik, ada extra lagi tuh. More bottles of perfume essence sold, unexpectedly.
2. Sponsor contest gifts - contest belum habis lagi, but traffic to my site increases. Also, got opportunity to be reseller for kids toys and Japanese cottons.
3. Service - got paid!

Betul lah apa dikata. It is in the Power of your Mind jer. Law of Attraction really works!

Coach Clearance Sales Havoc

Terpanggil nk menulis sket psl Coach Clearance Sales nih which were held on 6th December 2009, at Hotel Armada PJ. Nk jadik cerita, aku pun plan nk gi tp bila tengok fund tk berapa meyakinkan DH utk pegi, so dok rumah je lah. Dpt updates dari member FB, all bags sold at 9:15 am. Time tu ramai giler org tunggu depan pintu, ada yg tunggu dari pukul 7 pagi. Kawan aku pun pegi gak. Iye ke sold out in 15 mins? Okaylah, saje nk konpem kan pegi lah tengok comments kat SnS website. Slalunye high profile sales macam ni mesti banyak komen. Memang betul. Sumpah seranah sume ada dlm comments box tuh. Nak jadi cerita mmg sales tu ada tp cuma 300++ bags je and pintu buka since pukul 7 pagi daa.. ada ke patut. Anyway, ada gak commentator bagitau diaorg dpt beli 2-3 beg (patut pun habis cepat..) and they are all real and authentic Coach. Most probably bought in USA boutique or factory outlet lah. The organizer is Bebito etc. (not Valiram Group ye.. which is Malaysian authorized distributor for Coach).

Anyway, dah tertulis entry ni, I want to share the findings on latest news for Coach lah:
1. There are online shops selling fake Coach bags. So, beware.
2. Coach bag with bullet mark (from Factory Outlet) cannot get service from Coach boutique (means cannot polish ur bag kalau dh kusam ler..)
3. Coach boutique clearance sale is up to 30% for last season item, and up to 50% for more than last season item.
4. Coach boutique is having Clearance Sale now.. hehehehe..

Ok, I am not buying anything Coach-cy yet, but am still dreaming for Parker's lah. DH said he can buy me one but I need to set a fund for his dream Big Boys motorbike. Duhh.. So, no motobike, no Coach. Buy on my own lah kan.. hehehe..

Oh yes, I have visited Ms.Read website that sell fashions for plus sized woman. Designs are not bad, but pricey maaa.. might as well print out the photos and bring to tailor for tailor-made blouse.. hehehe..

Flat Tyre Day!

Semalam (or the day before kot) tayar belakang sebelah kiri kurang angin. Pagi ni rear right tyre pulak flat habis. Aduss! Time aku nk hantar the kids pegi school pulak tuh. Barang kat belakang punyelah banyak - donation boxes yg tk sempat nk drop off petang semalam. Called DH for like ages (sbb time tu dia atas moto nk pegi keje). First time Avanza ni flat tyre nyer. Punyelah payah mencari tayar spare Avanza tu and the jack. Semua berskru. Setengah jam jugak cuba nk buka mende-mende tu (more likely searching for them lah). Nasib baik ada sorang mekanik singgah tolong tukarkan tayar. DH arrived half an hour later. While the kids made themselves busy memunggah buku-buku dalam boxes itu. Suka hati lah anak-anak. Yg paling lawak, kakak boleh shout to those passerby "Ada sesiapa boleh tolong pam tayar tak?". Hahaha. Last night, she saw me pumped her flat bicycle tyre and thought it would be a good idea if someone has a pump for the flat car tyre.
Akhirnya, aku masuk ofis lambat and found out that the donation drop off box pun dh takde kat Country Heights tuh. But then, I got 5 bottles of perfume essence order today. Rezeki flat tyre day kot. Alhamdulillah.

Lesson learnt: For Avanza car, the jack is under front passenger seat (open the screw and you can take it out). The spare tyre is under the boot, open the screw and pull out the tyre. How to use the jack? Ikut suka lah, asalkan flat tyre side terangkat. Jgn lupa ketatkan semua screw kat tyre yg baru dipasang tuh (of which I can only advise, but practically, I will wait for Auto Shop to open and ask for mechanic to tighten the screws. Hehe). Oh one more thing, it is a good idea to have mechanic phone number residing within your routine route. Just in case you are stuck like me, help can come immediately. Else, pray hard that your flat tyre is along highway - PLUS Ronda will help you out. Hehe.

A treat?

Yesterday, the project was approved (technically) for the amount and duration proposed. I was the 1st presenter and by 3:30 pm already walked away from the Board Room as happy bee. Malam tadi dapat lah tido lena sket. Hehe. That evening I went to She Qeen's Collection shop and bought Viscose Cotton sepasang (and will tempah at her shop too for RM29 sepasang today). My pink Japanese cotton baju kurung belum siap lagi. I am out of new clothes now that getting thinner (perasan!) most of my baju kurungs went to donation je sbb besar sangat. Nak cari blouse pun susah gak, asyik ler tak berkenan.

Anyway, as a treat for me because the project was approved, the list of things I want and will save to buy:

Hari ini..

1. Saya duduk di Board Room dan mendengar presentation utk project findings – saya mengantuk. Huwaaa. Petanda subject ini sungguh familiar dgn saya.
2. Report saya telah dicheck oleh IrDrA dan hanya minor correction – Hooray!
3. Saya diberitahu utk present findings site measurement pada esok petang di IGB – giler ke? Hari ni baru nak inform? Nasib baik pagi tadi email PIC tuh.. ceh!
4. Saya ada prep utk TTC esok yang dijadualkan pada pukul 2:30 petang di HQ. – balik awal lah hari nih..
5. Saya perlu ‘basuh kereta’ dan beli diapers utk kakak – konpem balik awal

 

Memang konpem balik awal sbb prep utk meeting esok sungguh mencabar. Selain dari nk beli barang-barang budak, dan basuh kereta, perlu juga belek (dan tenung sampai nk telan) buku-buku standards itu.

 

Saya telah me’war-war’kan kepada semua org yang saya akan bercuti untuk menghabiskan thesis saya sebaik sahaja kawan saya berjaya mengharungi Technical Board yang dijadualkan pada minggu depan. Kalau tak lepas pun saya tetap akan bercuti.

Viruss!

I really hate when something goes wrong right before holiday. Sebab nye no one to entertain my complaint, or the other way round lah. This time kena kat my 'the-one-and-only' office PC. Aduhaii! Apesal le aku tk email je file tu semalam.. sah-sah thumbdrive minah tu ada virus yg amat merbahaya sampaikan PC aku terus je off lepas defragment disk, pas tu tak boleh on sampai sekarang, and monitor LCD tu blinking berterusan. Kes parah dah nih. Nasib baik yg teramat baik lah, semalam aku dapat notebook HP yg dh 2 bulan hantar repair.. Memang nasib baik ler. All this while aku bawak MacBook je gi ofis kalau keadaan terpaksa contohnye time training (boring dengar lecture, boleh buat keje lain kan..kan.. ). Tapi hari ini aku guna le notebook HP ni dan screen nyer memang dah okeh.. hehehe..

Kena tunggu hari Isnin baru lah ada orang nk datang tengok (iye ke?).. nasib lah kan..

Aku balik Muar esok pagi.. pagi raya.. entah cam ne lah nk kemas rumah hari nih.. balik awal sikit lah.. pukul 3 lebih ker.. hehehe..

Petua jika sakit mata..

Sakit mata ku dah hilang dalam sehari je (tp bukan sbb aku letak ubat mata daa).. dokter bagi MC sehari je, and satu botol kecik ubat mata satu titik sehari.. aku konpius jugak sbb time jumpa tu mmg gatal sesangat tp boleh je dokter tu tak bg MC.. aku selamba je mintak MC ler sbb itu lah tujuan pegi klinik pepagi Isnin.. kalau tidak, baik aku gi klinik hari sebelum nye kan.. lps tu aku drive gi Sering Ukay utk ambil barang.. lawa giler ofis consultant kami tuh.. off white furnitures yg sungguh elegant, stylish dan modern. Aku nk cat ofis baru kaler gitu ler jugak – plus kaler biru, dan merah. Haha.

Btw, nak share petua jika kena sakit mata lah.

1) Jangan gosok mata yg gatal tu kuat-kuat. Nanti makin sakit pulak and tangan ada bacteria. Instead, lap mata dgn kain lembap utk hilangkan gatal.

2) Jangan makan ubat tahan gatal esp yg buat mengantuk tuh. Makin banyak taik mata kuar nnti sbb tido je kan.

3) Minum Brand's Innershine Berry Essence (utk kesihatan mata). Pati ni concentrated, dijamin akan hilang sakit mata dalam sehari je (sbb aku dh amalkan cara nih tp aku bukan spokesperson utk Brand's ye..)

4) Kalau rajin, minum Brand's Innershine Prune Essence (utk kesihatan badan dan kuarkan toksin yg tk berkenaan)

Satu lagi nk share, walaupun si kakak kena sakit mata, and then I was infected from her pinkeyes tetapi si adik dan ayahnye tak kena pulak. Adik mesti ditidokan setiap malam i.e. aku tido sebelah dia ler sampai dia terlelap. Imun sistem diaorg ni buat sikit lah kot. Si adik tu breastfeed although tak ekslusif lagi but still nyot-nyot before bedtime. Si ayah pulak suka sangat makan ulam dan budu/cincaluk/tempoyak etc. I happened to consume lots of Green Tea Colostrum and coffee for the past couple of months. So, rasanya si adik dapat benefit of colostrums thru breastfeeding.

Overall experience: Great. Dapat rest satu hari kat rumah walaupun still buat keje ofis time sakit mata. Hehe.

Sakit mata

Last Friday, Nabilah kena sakit mata. Kesian kat dia, besar sebelah mata anakku itu. DH cuti half day, sbb aku ada meeting pagi. Half day petang, aku jaga pulak. Seronok jugak le menghabiskan masa Jumaat petang dgn tidur bersama anak-anak di rumah.
Akibatnye, hari ini confirm aku pulak kena sakit mata. Besar sebelah mataku itu, bersama merah yg sakit lah jugak. Pinkeye they said. Tapi tk de lah sakit mana. Lunch hari ni aku tk memasak sangat, DH yg masak. Ye lah semalam aku dh pulun masak mee rebus dgn cupcakes utk potluck rumah boss nye kat Kota Damansara tu, bagi can lah aku rilek main FB hari ni. Ofis mate DH ku itu ada pelbagai 'saiz' dari kurus keding sampai lah besar bagai.. tpkan ada sorang minah seksi ni teramatlah kurusnye, but then aku rasa minah ni couple dgn mamat sorang ni sbb time makan tu dok le berdua-dua-an.. emm, budak-budak lagi.. aku ngan DH as usual ler, makan BBQ bagai nk rak sementara anak-anak main turun naik sofa and makan aiskrim..
Whatever pun, esok kena gi ambik MC tp kena jugak siapkan keje yg dirancang i.e. pegi ke ofis IrDrA uk ambik dongle, or kalau aku malas sangat, aku kena email je lah excel file tuh.
Tapi kan minggu ni kena hantar report progress tu, due date 27hb (hari raya tuh..) and aku lom siap lagi report utk para supervisors. Rasa macam nk kena bayar fee utk registration kali ni sendiri lah.. baru terasa motivasi utk siapkan thesis tuh. kalau idak, dok le CafeWorld tetiap hari, tambah plak DH pun sama dok memasak utk Cafe ku itu.
Weekend yg penuh bermakna sbb sakit mata.. hahaha..

Sakit kepala...

I think I will not accept anymore meeting schedule 3 days in a row like this week. Aku pening kepala!!! Semalam separuh hari jumpa geng Petronas and Telekom kat Cyberjaya – project baru and potential services to them (more money lah.. but not to my pocket.. huhuhu). Hari ni separuh hari nego price utk SLA baru, pening lagi.. baru je siap update changes requested pagi tadi. Esok pagi meeting SLA dgn orang lain pulak – 1^st stage presentation of which rasanya discuss draft options je lah (to the engineer, I hope). Tadi boss MPY datang suruh submit slides utk TTC next week esok jugak, pas tu boss kecik AAR suruh hantar Compendium esok jugak (ingat senang ke nak write-up article.. adusss). Aku dh minum Nescafe 2 gelas besar, plus GTC satu botol.. semata-mata tk mau ngantuk (weng otak aku skrg sbb tk tido dr pukul 3:30 pagi tadi). Caffein junkie dh nih.. waaa..

Harap org Major Project tk tepon aku esok minta report sbb aku belum siap. Nk bagi IrDrA tengok report tu lagi.. mak aaiii.. adakah ini akibat aku cuti off in lieu hari Selasa lepas???

 

 

Sealed..

Okay, it is official.. RM440K for 3-years. Sealed and waiting for the committee to approve. Not that bad eh? Ye lah kot because I have worked for 6 months for this to be realized. But I am soft hearted person, so, ada jugak diskaun just to help the client in terms of approval. I can easily recover those RM that we have discounted in a month or so. The most important thing is we get this going and pray for the best. I should read Negotiation book whenever I hv the time later. Apa buku yang menarik ek? Btw, new cotton designs should be in today but Anne has a meeting in Klang, so I have to wait. Tak sabar le nk htr tempah baju kat kedai yg confirm 2 hari baju kurung siap. Haha. Shopping mode now although gaji tak masuk lagi. Hehe. Oh ye, I want to buy a pair of Scholl wedge jugak. Hehehe.

Terlupa..

Semalam off in lieu, memang seronok le cuti kat rumah time org pegi keje.. banyak mende kat rumah dh siap kemas.. sampaikan wall deco sticker pun dapat beli dan tampal di dinding rumah.. sangat lah murah, sampai teringin nk tambah koleksi barang murah kat NabilaHouse.com tu.. iye lah, online shop lain jual sikit punye mahal (paling murah pun RM10 utk sekeping wall deco sticker).. kalau aku jual RM8 sekeping sticker, ada orang nk beli tak? Nanti aku upload gambar sticker cun melecun tuh.. termasuk lah dinding rumah aku yg penuh contengan tu yg di’transform’kan jadik cantik (perasan .. hehehe) dgn wall deco sticker tuh..

Apa pun, sbb seronok cuti semalam.. aku TERLUPA langsung yg Nabilah kena pegi replacement class Ballet utk Sabtu nih. Replacement class on Tuesday 6:45 pm ok!!!!! Time yg sungguh tak sesuai.. sbb tu aku lupa. Selalu jemput diaorg pukul 5:30 pm terus gi Nilai 3, gerai burger Anjang kt sblh 7-11 (kalau nk makan burger, beli lah – kalau tidak, lalu je depan gerai tuh) pas tu terus balik rumah tengok Little Einstein kat Astro 613. The worst thing was I remembered about the missed class only this morning, sbb aku tengok cite Barney dgn Baby Bop bersama-sama Najihah semasa breastfeeding session. You know Baby Bop yg dinasour kaler ijau tuh, dia suka Ballet.. ok Ballet, apa kaitannye ek.. rasa macam ada yg berkait dgn ballet.. Dem! Aku lupa replacement class Ballet tu semalam.. harus lah Teacher Candy tu sound sekali lagi sbb tk dtg class padahal anakku itu akan ambil exam pre-primary next March.. bagi peluang pegi satu class dalam seminggu pun maknyer boleh TERLUPA!!!!

Nasib baik DH tak marah aku lupa bawak gi class semalam, sbb dia ingat replacement class tu next week.. lagi haru!! So, this weekend memang kena adjust the timetable so that she can enter the coloring contest and at the same time can attend Ballet class at the center.

Macamana nk improve my memory ni ye? I think I am losing my ‘detailness’ and focusing more on wholeness.. and I am depending on my Outlook Schedule more than I thought I am. Nak kena beli PDA ke? Or keep on set Alarm Clock in my handphone tu?

Off in lieu..

It has been ages since I last took my off in lieu. Tak berkesempatan nk ambik cuti because off in lieu kena ambik within the same month, or if kena hujung bulan, the next month mesti ambik jugak. Selalunye memang burn je lah. Lately selepas mak tk dpt dtg tolong babysit the girls, mmg banyak weekend outstation. Hari ni aku tabahkan diri gak ambik cuti although it is Tuesday! Apa nk buat on Tuesday ek.. shopping and run errands je lah. This week supposenya stay in the office and write but somehow, for the next 3 days aku kena gi meeting jer sbb bosses busy and one of the bosses pun ambik cuti on Friday. Aduhai!
So, today's itinerary will be:
1. Basuh baju & sidai baju
2. Tengok TV Astro 701-711 (sambil buat keje ler..)
3. Kemas the whole house i.e. no more bersepah-sepah..
4. Sort out baju yg dh tk boleh pakai (saiz XL & L) - now I'm M size okay :) :)
5. Sort out baju kids yg dh kecik mecik
6. Rearrange furnitures at hallway - supaya aku tk asyik terlanggar metal rack tu.. sakit woo..
7. Kemas rak buku dlm bilik tido..
That will cover half of the morning until 12 pm.
Then, afternoon - pegi Pos Office Nilai pick up DH parcel and drop by to Cotton House at Nilai 3 - riki harga cotton kat situ.. if time permit, pegi beli baju kaler ijau utk anak-anakku pakai hari Sabtu ni family day kat ofis aku. Menu hari ini - tak tau le.. masak daging ok kot, with ayam for the kids.
Sebelum terlupa, one chapter to be finished today. And also, report for the design. Walaupun cuti, masih lah nk buat keje ofis.. hahaha..
I love being at home on working day! :-)

PTC and weekend stuffs

Last weekend, we had PTC (Parent Teacher Conference) at the Montessori. This time it was well scheduled and we did not have to wait for long before our turn. Basically you will see the Dorm Teacher and discuss your child's performance for the 2nd semester. The first PTC was not that organized and even the teacher failed to complete her report (for Nabilah's) but this time was different. We met Najihah's teacher first then Nabilah's. Surprisingly Najihah's teacher said she can read alphabets and read English (simple words) and she colors well. Masyaallah, kat rumah memang tk pernah dia nk menulis whatsoever although alphabet tracing book memang lah banyak. Then, Nabilah's surprises are on high marks for Arabic (macam tk percaya she got 92%) and Jawi, marked improvement on her Maths and English but not BM. Ni kes selalu tengok WordWorld kat Play House Disney dok cakap English jer. Anyway, both of them are excellent in school as claimed by their teachers. We are both proud parents that day. Honestly, my kids will have endless drawing, coloring, and cutting time at home. Pretend playing and TV are must-have time for them. I sat with them to draw princesses, Barbies and reading only. Sometimes Nabilah brought back her homework and I can only spent max of half an hour to help her with the homework. By 10 pm, they will go to sleep and the cycle will starts again tomorrow morning. it is a bless that we have smart daughters and good teacher at the Montessori which helps alot in term of their academic and character building.

We sent Nabilah to her Ballet class and Najihah spent an hour watching Garfield the Movie in the play room. This week DH has no class at OUM so we had lunch at Uniten foodcourt after delivery of Avent starter set to one of our clients. The rest of afternoon was gloomy (raining here and there) and the kids were already tired. The rest of Saturday and Sunday were spent with shopping at Giant Nilai, and Facebooking while the kids were playing pretend and practising ballet as they wish at home. Our new interest will be at CafeWorld, viewed thru Mac Book with DH opening his new Cafe and help me serving dishes when I was busy with housework. But somehow, I managed to write the memo during the afternoon kids naptime but I was so lazy to fold the clothes.

It was definitely a relaxing weekend after a whole week of stress and late night study for the presentation.

I am through..

Today is the 1st step towards getting approval for the R&D project. Alhamdulillah, dah lepas although I had limited time to study and review and learn the standards. Not many questions asked because the client already know (I mean, Madam chairperson lah..) so the rest of committee members just nod aje lah.. waited for about one and a half hour in the same room with my Big Boss, IrDrZ. Mula-mula mmg seriau lah sbb ni first time masuk TWC meeting. Punye lah risau sampai kan aku terus masuk meeting room yg kosong (time tu pukul 8:30 pagi.. alhamdulillah my kids bangun awal and got short cut to PJ thru NPE (Abdullah Hukum) and no jem at Jalan Barat sbb ada polis trafik). Selepas setengah jam, kami pun dh tak tau nk buat apa, cerita ceriti lah .. maybe rezeki hari ini, Big Boss suggest DH to have a chat with Energy Research Center nearby for an economist post.. mmg lah DH-ku itu specialize in energy economics and development studies, and mmg le dia suka sangat mengajar, so kira ini rezeki lah if he got the job. At least dekat sikit dgn rumah (and me!) so tkde lah jenuh nak pegi keje terkejar sana sini. Anyway, apart from that, next step in 2 weeks is to present to the next level, Insyaallah lepas Raya Haji. Wish me luck!

Balik nnti must buy cakes for my angels berdua yg tgh school - wearing their new 'pet' outfit since birthday party hari ini bertemakan 'binatang kesayangan'. Nabilah got her red glittering blouse with furry Bear in front and Najihah got her 'Bambi' outfit. Sebab itulah mereka bangun awal hari ini. Selamat.

Btw, today, I joined SIMPAN Challenge 2009 thrown by Irfan Khairi (the motivator tuh.. which happened to be DH's ex-schoolmate in SDAR). The goal is to SAVE RM1000 in 30 DAYS. Bersungguh-sungguh ni nak menyimpan sbb saya nk bawa my family to Cagliari, Italy next year. Hehehe.

Next destination?

I love Kyoto – tak tau kenapa suka sangat nk pegi sana (influenced by those Japanese drama kot?) tp sememangnye dari habis sekolah menengah sampai lah sekarang nk pegi sana.. specifically looking forward for Silk making process, cherry blossoms and sakura flowers and its beautiful Kyoto Garden, and lovely kimonos.

Then there are tulip gardens at Holland that I have wanted to visit since I left UK in 1997. Tak sempat nk pegi tengok bunga tulip dh kena balik Malaysia.

And somehow, Mountain range and natural surroundings i.e. forest has always been my fascination – so, traveling to New Zealand or Switzerland is an option for our adventurous holidays. See the picture of majestic Alps. Sungguh best. Although, I have not been to many forest area kat Malaysia nih, but still my work involved lots of working on unclaimed territory.

And Disneyland LA, one day we will come to visit – we went back to soon in 2006, the only city we have visited other than Madison, was the Big Apple. I should travel to USA in couple of years time.

Nevertheless, our next destination is Cagliary, Italy! Self sponsored family holiday with sponsored accommodation and a ticket for me. Insyaallah cukup lah duit ku utk bawa satu family nanti. Amiin..

My Top 5 Treat List

If given chance and time to indulge myself in extravaganza treats, these are my top 5 treat list:

 

1. Holiday in Disneyland LA where my kids and I (and hubby) can meet our favorite Belle & Beast, Snow White & Dwarfs and play the games endlessly surrounded by magical castle of Disney. Awesome!
2. Shopping at Paris for designer fashion clothes, accessories and shoes. Yes, I love shoes!!
3. Dinner at most expensive Steak House in Tokyo, Japan
4. Brand new iPhone for my endless emails, FBing and stock market
5. New laptop – Dell Inspiron 13 in Alpine White

 

Yes, I am a gadget freak but I am a budget conscious too. I need new laptop since the one I owned already too old and not much I can help with its RAM and speed. The Dell Inspiron 13 is simply amazing masterpiece. Alpine White with its smooth round edge and crisp clean lines simply suit my IKEA filled white colored furniture study room. I fall in love with the design at first sight! This model has wireless support and webcam central that means I travel with less accessories and get connected with my precious at home any time of the day.

 

 

 

Cuti-cuti Malaysia

Bulan ni everyone dh start plan for Cuti-cuti Malaysia. Tadi masa meeting, they said bonus will be paid 23^rd November. Yo lah tuh. Appraisal pun tak keluar lagi cam ne? Anyway, boss pun cuti sebulan nk pegi umrah dgn wife nyer. So, after Raya Haji dia tk de dah. Tahun depan baru jumpa semula. 9^th December nk kena finalise KPI pulak sbb tu je time yg dia ada kat ofis. Tahun ni nk ke mana ek. Conference kat Melaka tak pegi, susah lah if aku pegi sbb boss pun pegi jugak present paper.. tok leh le aku nk mengular macam tahun lepas.. Aku gi Penang in February. Cuti hujung tahun ni maybe tak ke mana lah kot.. kalau ada pun setakat road trip ke Zoo PD or balik kampung je lah. Apa pun, thesis ku mesti siap sebelum register semester baru tahun ini sbb aku dh lapse berapa bulan dah ni membuat kerja-kerja ofis yg tak pernah nk habis. Meeting tadi pun selamat lah aku dari kena handle new project sbb boss support the idea of just application development instead of research project. Haha.

Hari ini sungguh best. Hehehe.

 

 

PowerPuffGirls

Hari ini bertambah sorang lagi researcher group kami. Selepas bertahun-tahun mintak tambah ahli keluarga, baru hari ni dapat sorang – not exactly fresh grad from Uniten but somehow Uniten jugak lah yg senang nk dapat masuk TNBR. So, myself, my fren NAR and this girl will join force to be the PowerPuffGirls team in this company. Hehehe.. Anyway, this researcher is hoped to carry on the normal day-to-day routine of my work to entertain fussy customers and such so that I can focus on getting more revenue thru research project, networking and consultancy services. Aduhai, bertambah pening lah saya. After all, I can study more to become technical expert before DH start applying his PhD scholarship overseas. Nak gak merasa gaji 5 angka selepas bertahun2 keje ngan company nih. Anyway, the boss asked me to briefly explain the system although aku mmg dh nyawa2 ikan hari ini selepas melihat GIS maps banyak lembar itu. Nasib baik lah boss besar sangat sibuk dan suruh kami je yg entertain the staff. After all, she has to move around a lot within this week and next to get familiar with the office.

 

And my report for IrDrA belum lagi siap.. alahai.. kesian report ku itu..

 

Oh btw, between Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup – I really like Blossom ler.. hahaha.. perasan..

Sementara sempat..

Pagi ni ada 2 meeting, yg sungguh mencabar – GIS and CGIS, both on GeoInformationSystem thingy.. so, aku expect petang ni mmg pening kepala lah.. sementara ada 5 minit ni baik aku taip entry untuk last weekend. Memang banyak rilek le sbb TWC tk jadi hari ni, postpone Thursday so aku ada masa lagi nk study.. Cuma report utk IrDrA belum siap, pas tu ada byk report data tk siap lagi. Weekend lepas best sbb anak2 ku sume semakin bagus main pretend games kat rumah with umbrellas, towels and their toys, without asking for pond playing. Selamat. Masa untuk memasak macam-macam makanan including bubur kacang on Sunday afternoon. Sunday sempat breakfast kat Bangi Kopitiam sbb DH nk bawak anak-anaknyer makan half boiled eggs, roti bakar kaya dan mee kari. Next time nk makan Mee Kari kat Seremban yg dikatakan sangat sedap itu. Tak sempat tengok Cotton House collection – kedai baru buka yg jual Japanese cotton kat Nilai 3 tu sbb anak-anakku naptime lama sangat. Facebooking memang wajib lah, and surprisingly aku boleh access CafeWorld and cooked some dishes on Mac Book. Apesal lah desktop tk bley view CafeWorld entah..

Apa pun, aku pening kepala jugak sbb tido lama (8 hours for Sat and Sun), selalu nye 2-3 jam je aku tido setiap malam.. so malam tadi aku tido pukul 3 pagi dgn harapan tak sakit kepala.. and teori ku terbukti betul, sbb aku tak sakit kepala dan dapat gi ofis. Hahaha..

Bila boring nnti kena buat entry lagi, now kena rush cari org utk meeting..

Off Limits

Today I presented the test results for proposed sites field measurement done three weeks ago. The rest of the room is filled with men engineers, and only 3 of us are lady engineers. Not that bad because one of the consultant engineers is a nice lady. The same thing happen again, the Chairman questioned our Method Statement of which very annoying since the first meeting lagi dah decide the methodology. Biar je lah. Buat donno je as long as the results accepted by consultant. Nasib baik aku tak mengamuk macam last meeting before we set off to work on the ground. Although they are senior engineers they should trust their own people. Walaupun kami bukan dari Engineering department, kerja-kerja tu memang dah routine group aku nih. So, nk query banyak2 pun tak guna. Lain lah kalau kitaorg baru buat keje sebulan dua. Malas nak layan Chairman itu. We ended up abandoning the other 2 sites and proceed with one measured site. Then, nk kena choose another site utk buat test lagi. Yang ni tak tahulah berapa banyak pulak nk kena buat. Macam-macam hal. Whatever pun aku memang kena gi site lepas ni sampai lah keje ni mmg completely wrapped up i.e. consultant puas hati and boleh proceed dengan design grounding electrode station tuh. Harus aku dapatkan title Ir tu dalam masa terdekat ni. Aku rasa lah kan lepas ni kalau depan nama aku ada Ir. Lunch time met my DH at Boulevard and DH teman me lunch kat food court. Kebetulan dia ada workshop kat Midvalley jugak. Pegi kat Pet Shop near GSC MidValley tuh, mmg comel sungguh pets yg ada kat situ, dari ikan sampai lah arnab yg harganya beratus-ratus RM. We had a chance to look at tiny green turtles that we promised Nabilah on her coming 6^th birthday next January. Kira-kira tak sampai RM50 pun utk 2 ekor turtles and cage with rocks, plants and small pebbles. Lepas tu singgah pulak kat PC & Electronics Fair at the same level. Mak aii, LCD TV sungguh cantik ditengok tp harga puluh-puluh ribu RM. Best pulak tengok Transformer kt LCD TV. Tengok kamera Lumix dgn Leica lens pun murah gak dlm RM300 to RM500 je, still affordable to buy lah. If I got my bonus this year, Insyaallah boleh beli satu kamera ut gantikan kamera Lumix Leica yg rosak dibuat oleh anak-anakku itu (terbang RM1200 time tuh.. sungguh menyedihkan).

Few more hours to work on the report for IrDrA and the next presentation for the Working Committee on Thursday pulak. A very busy week ahead of me. Bila lah boleh rilek sket nak menulis thesis. Aduhaii..

Fikir sebelum cakap..

Semalam memang hari kalut aku ler.. sebaik sahaja IrDrA datang dgn mengejut aku pun sememangnye akan gabra – sebab utama ialah aku belum siap buat keje dan dongle itu dah nk kena ambik.. member aku mmg bagitau dia nak dongle tu semula, tp aku punye lah assume yang despatch kami akan hantar ke ofis IrDrA di Wangsa Maju.. aduss, silap budget time lah.. time sibuk nk diskas pasal result tu datang le manager aku AAR tuh.. cerita pasal project lah apa lagi nk cerita.. lepas tu aku dgn selambanya bagi komen – “mestilah banyak project, nk bagi lepas KPI dia je lah”. Aku tak perasan pulak le expression boss aku tu cam ne.. tetiba je aku lost sbb sibuk cari results. Pas tu aku sedar2, tinggal kami bertiga – aku, member aku (NAR ler..) ngan IrDrA. Entah kemana pulak boss aku tuh..

Hari ini, boss aku tuh tk tegur aku pun bila dia lalu kat depan bilik macam selalu.. Alamak, harus kena minta maaf ke baru nk cakap dgn aku.. habis lah aku.. sememangnye bila terlalu banyak kerja nk kena siapkan, kita akan terlepas cakap dan akhirnya kena berusaha balik utk membuang yg keruh ambil yg jernih.. cari susah sendiri, kenalah settle kan jugak sbb aku kena pergi meeting dgn dia utk SLA yang baru ini.. walaupun dia cuma dengar utk bg approval, dia kena jugak datang sbb dia manager, aku kuli jer.. aduhai.. lagi satu sebab, boss aku ni senang approve cuti, so, mmg tok leh gaduh ngan dia lah tk kiralah macamana pun sbb hari-hari cuti ku itu adalah amat berharga…

Moral of the story : Kalau sibuk sangat, tak payah cakap apa-apa.. buat-buat tak dengar, habis cerita.

 

 

Akhirnya..

.. dapat jugak disiapkan model dan simulation untuk pencawang itu.. yeehaa.. this morning, IrDrA came to visit us for the dongle dan aku dgn muka tebalnye minta extend sehari je lagi (which is today!) to complete the modeling. Surprisingly, dia tengok the model is sufficient, without the SPLITS simulation – sememangnye tak sempat den nk buat, lagipun mmg sume org tk nk bagi aku info yg aku nk, buat je lah apa dalam spec. So, conclusionnyer, esok aku kena visit ofis supervisor aku tu utk pulangkan dongle dan submit report utk dia review. Aku dgn tebal jari nye telah minta extend seminggu lagi dgn Major Project, dan telah diberi kebenaran – alhamdulillah. Malam ni boleh le aku tido dgn lenanya..

 

So, itulah cerita kerja aku pada hari ini. Lepas ini aku nk buat report pulak. Sebelum tu kena makan lunch sbb dh pukul 3 petang. Hehehe..

Hungry...

My younger kid woke up and asked for half boiled egg. She is so hungry? DH promised to make her one after work today and I just prayed that he remembers to come home early. We need to bring her to clinic to have that itchiness identified and cured. We bought her kuih muih to eat on the way to school. I came into my office and drank a whole bottle of Green Tea Colostrum (instantly filled my hungry stomach). I am hungry too.. unfortunately. I drank plain Nescafe without sugar after that. I ran out of my usual Coffee (CEO and Kacip Fatimah), so belasah je lah. I have not slept since 3 am last night, running 73150 elements in the simulation and still counting to draw the conductors as per drawing. I am still hungry, though.

 

But I am blessed with life. I had so much to look forward too. I am not poor, yet. Although struggling, I knew some day I will get there. I am never out of food. I am hungry just because I am stucked in my chair to do the work. Only few hours left and I may leave my comfy chair to grad something and eat for 15 minutes break. I am so lucky that I am still alive.

 

Be thankful that you are still alive to see another day, be patience as empty stomach and loads of work really tests yourself to the limit. Hehe.

Jundeco Stickers Contest!

I am stressing up with Engineering drawings when I noticed new post from BabyIbu’s blog about the Jundeco Stickers Contest.. I have thought of decorating my house with wallpapers but they are too expensive. But the self adhesive wall stickers from Jundeco Stickers are not that bad – quite cheap considering they are imported from Korea.

I like this one – butterflies are always welcome in my house. My kids will adore these stickers. Beautiful!

Hari ini..

.. DH will be going to teambuilding at Semenyih. The kids tk de plak nangih macam hari itu. Pelik sungguh ler aku. Ayah nye cakap nk pegi masuk hutan macam mak. So, dia bawak beg baju kaler biru. Cerita seterusnya adalah seperti di bawah:

 

Kakak: Kenapa masuk hutan kena bawak baju?

DH: Mesti lah bawak.. takkan nk pakai satu baju je dalam hutan..

Kakak: Ooo.. kena mandi ke?

Semua gelak…

 

Dalam kereta pulak..

Adik: Mak ada bawak baju pergi sekolah? (She always says my workplace is school like hers)

Aku: Takde.. tak bawak..

Adik: Kenapa tak bawak? Tak ada shower?

Aku: Emm.. tak de..

Adik: Mak bawak lah baju, nanti boleh salin baju kat sekolah.. mak pakai satu baju je, kesian mak.

(then si adik meneruskan makan donut nyer..)

 

Moral of the story: Jangan tunjuk beg baju kat anak-anak semasa nak keluar gi outstation (simpan masuk dlm kereta terus). Unfortunately DH naik moto gi keje, so, mmg terpaksa tunjuk ler beg baju tuh.. hehehe…
