1 Corinthians 1 (KJV)

5 That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance (a spoken word, statement, or vocal sound.),  and in all knowledge;
6 Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:
7 So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:
8 Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent (well-advised).
20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

vs 25, Paul is being sarcastic and speaking more of a response to fools ~ Karmen

27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound (confuse) the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound (confuse) the things which are mighty;
28 And base (to disgrace) things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.

30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification (make holy), and redemption:
31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

2 Peter 3 (KJV)

3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers (To mock at or treat with scorn), walking after their own lusts,
4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition (eternal punishment) of ungodly men.

8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent (intense) heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12 Looking for and hasting (rushing) unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent (intense) heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.
18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

Peace / 2 Peter 3 (KJV)

13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

Peace / 1 Thessalonians 5 (KJV)

11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify (improve) one another, even as also ye do.
12 And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish (scold) you;
13 And to esteem (respect and admire) them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves.

23 And the very God of peace sanctify (make holy) you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Titus 1 (KJV)

1 Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness;

7 For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled (Willfulness, especially in satisfying one's own desires or adhering to one's own opinions.), not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker (troublemaker), not given to filthy lucre (money, esp. when regarded as sordid or distasteful or gained in a dishonorable way.);
8 But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober (clear-headed), just, holy, temperate (pleasant);
9 Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort  (advise) and to convince the gainsayers (disputers).

10 For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision (those who were baptized):
11 Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert (overthrow) whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's (money, esp. when regarded as sordid or distasteful or gained in a dishonorable way.) sake.

12 One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, the Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies.
13 This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;
14 Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.

15 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate (an unprincipled person (often used humorously or affectionately).

Philippians 2 (KJV)

2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
3 Let nothing be done through strife (bitter conflict) or vainglory (pride); but in lowliness (humbleness) of mind let each esteem (appreciate and honor) other better than themselves.

4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

14 Do all things without murmurings (growling) and disputings:
15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke (strong correction), in the midst of a crooked and perverse (stubborn, difficult)nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

1 Timothy 3 (KJV)

1 This is a true saying, if a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.
2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant (attentive), sober (clear headed), of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt (suitable) to teach;
3 Not given to wine, no striker (troublemaker), not greedy of filthy lucre (income); but patient, not a brawler (competitor), not covetous (selfish);
4 One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection (servitude) with all gravity (seriousness);
5 (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)
6 Not a novice (beginner), lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation (judgment) of the devil.
7 Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach (sentence) and the snare (lure) of the devil.

8 Likewise must the deacons be grave (strictly business), not doubletongued (Saying one thing to one person and something different to another; double talking; deceitful in speech.) , not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre (wealth);
9 Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.
10 And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless.
11 Even so must their wives be grave (quiet), not slanderers (naggers), sober (calm), faithful in all things.
12 Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.
13 For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase (invest) to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.
