Hey hey,
Long time no post right? So lately my wargaming mojo has hit rock bottom. Have managed to get in some games of pulp, FOW and dystopian wars here and there but as for painting zilch on the gaming front.

New shiney ps4 and many many novels have kept my interest as well as the usual family stuff. Kids have been crook again
too.

Both the epic and dystopian wars french have gone by bys so my collection is rather thin at the moment. This prompted me to finish the BTR80.
The wife is on holidays at the moment so ive had ample time between family outings to get my ho on!

All ready for paint, Few mistakes. PE is so painful to work with. Left the tow ropes off.  

First coat of primer is on. Next up is pre-shading then a desert yellow base primer. 

Viva Le France!

After this weekend my wife's back to work so im back to full time dad duties and im most definitely making the most of the hobby time I have!

Today I have finished of my Russian Frigates, Im very pleased with the end results. Its a nice quick but gritty paint job.
Ive also made a start on a friends commission, He is building me a Infinity table and in return im painting his FOW force. Sounds Legit right?
Also made a purchase of some Airpower for my Border war project so stay tuned.

Swiss cheese

So the K car was a pretty disgusting model to paint, I attribute it to the horrible resin body which has shallow detailing and full of pitt marks. I think this will be the last time I purchase from Old Glory. So good from afar but far from good. Just awaiting my flight stand.

The previous Helicopter I purchased was the Huey Gunship from Old Glory and Unfortunetly this suffers from the same flaws.

Had a full day of getting my hobby on today so also finished off some Dystopian Wars Russian Cruisers.

October already !!!!

Wow how time flies ey, Christmas draws nearer an I need to get cracking on clearin my pile of lead!

So been busy laterly painting some Infinity, Dystopian wars, working on terrain and getting side tracked playin mech warrior online. All this is in the slim amount of time I have for hobby when not chasing the kids around. 

Finally got a game of Dystopian wars in this weekend, been waiting 3 years and boy was I not Dissappointed. Such a fun game ha a blast playing it even though I got pantsed.

My African project is slowly gaining momentum with bits and pieces arriving in the mail. This beauty arrived today from Old Glory, the amount of pieces was mind boggling. The cast itself is a bit meh with some major pitting all over. But overall I'm happy.

Finishing up FoW

Hello,
This week I have been finishing up my flames of war stuff before it moves on to its new home.
I will be sad to see it go but its replacement is on its way.
Still awaiting my 15mm African goodies, fingers crossed they arrive soon!
Also I took delivery of some terrain for my Dystopian wars table from a local friend, very nice indeed.
Lastly I had the good camera out so took some nicer pics of my 15mm flight stands.

T.I.A Bro

Greetings Greetings!

Hope all you dads had a great Father's Day! I also celebrated my sons Birthday on Father's Day so it was an extra special day!

So I've been doing a lot of reading about the Rhodesian bush war and South African border war. I'm keen as do try out gaming these using the Force on Force ruleset. Purchased for myself the core rulebook and bush war supplement.

For Father's Day I received a new airbrush set up which should be fun to use. My old airbrush is well and truly thrashed.

Spartan games have well and truly F***ed me. 8 weeks later I receive the wrong replacement parts. Email them and alls I get is a sorry that was our fault no idea how they mixed that up, will send replacement replacements ASAP. So another 8 week wait I guess. Just quietly worst customer service I've experienced. Ok not worst but pretty poor turn around.

This arrived in the mail today and she's a beauty. New paint job and flight stand will  make her soar!

Also finally finished off another infinity building for my dead in the water infinity city table.

Slow and Steady

Have slowly made my way through the Dystopian Wars French starter. Still crook as a dog, getting better also slowly. 

Took the wife out in a date last night to see Elysium, was AMAZEBALLS. Some really awesome scifi elements. Really really hope someone makes some sculpts in 15mm of humans in exoskeletons. Copley is also the MAN!

Also couldn't help myself and made a purchase from ravenstar studios this week. Hopefully the arrive soon for some 15mm sci fi goodness. Don't know how I missed that vendor, so much awesomeness there. Think ill be grabbing some of the BSG ships as well in the near future ad the large broadsword ship.

Special thanks to mwnciboo for highlighting my blog over at Stopping The Red Tide. Hopefully I should finish some Cold War stuff soon.
