Pumpkin Kiddo

This week is Stampendous' Kiddos showcase week and I have a cute little Pumpkin Kiddo card for you today.  Is she a little doll or what?  I haven't been coloring much lately but the kiddos are always fun to color with copics, speccies, pencils, or whatever you choose.

I colored her with my copics  (E00, E000, YR68, YR16, YR12, YG17, YG23, YG21, E27, E25) then cut her out with a Lifestyle Crafts die and put her aside.

My background was created by filling in a white sheet of cardstock with Tim Holtz Distress ink in Peeled Paint, Spiced Marmalade, and Broken China using a blending tool.  I then stamped the Haunting Background over that in Black archival ink.  She was finished with some layering and a bit of fun chevron ribbon from May Arts.

Be sure to check out what the rest f the team is posting this week on the Stampendous blog.

HAlloween Altered Book

This altered book was one of my favorite projects for Stampendous for July CHA.  It began life as a duplicate hard back book (otherwise I could never bring myself to paint it!)

The cover was painted in Hematite Maya Gold paint and after that dried the fun began!

My focal point is the new Mirror Mirror stamp from Stampendous.  I stamped her in Versamark ink on previously painted paper then embossed her in Aged Black embossing Enamel then set this aside.

On the book itself I added multiple layers of paper (Echo Park), stenciling (Copper Embossing Creme through Ronda Palazzari's Quatrefoil stencil from The Crafter's Workshop), and moe stamping with Haunting Background embossed in Aged Spice.

I added some black Mesh ribbon from May Arts...

And lots of fall flowers from Petaloo...

Overall a very fun cover to alter!  Plus the insides began to take shape but I of course forgot to take picture of the inside before I mailed it off, LOL.

Stampendous and Envirotex Resin Blog Hop

We hope you've enjoyed the inspiration this week as our team has been playing with the Resin Crafts Blog featuring EnviroTex Jewelry Resin from ETI and their brand new Jewelry Clay! We've had fun bringing you these terrific projects. Be sure to comment on all the blogs for the best chance to win these terrific products. Our prize package includes BOTH the clay and resin, plus a nice assortment of bezels from Nunn Designs, and, of course, some stamps and Essentials from Stampendous! One of the things we love best are the terrific videos that show you just what to expect from these products. Here's the EnviroTex Resin Video: [youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whnsO3dsHOk] And this one shows you all the details on Jewelry Clay: [youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c22EQ-ARn8E] There are also downloadable .pdf's on the Environmental Technologies site, and the directions that come in each package are extremely complete and very helpful. We're creating crazy around here with this too fun resin and clay!

For my project today I am pulling one out of the archives from last year.  Why?  1> because I really liked it! and 2> i won't whine but with end of the school year and lots more going on, well, you know, we procrastinators go belly up sometimes.

I used Halloween Sprite, Black Glass Glitter, and Trick or Treat Color Fragments in my Resin for this one along with a piece of Ranger Memory glass.  Halloween Sprite is now retired but can be found in many stores by searching HERE and I know that my local store Betty's has some still.

She was colored with my Spectrum Noir markers (PL3, PL2, PL1, Lv3, LV2, Lv1, OR3, OR2, TN5, IG7, IG5, IG3, IG1, FS9, FS4, DG3, CG3)

Merry Creep-mas

Merry Creep-mas!  I saw this image at TheOctopode Factory and just HAD to create a funky journal page.  This is Creepy Santa, and I got him as a set with Mrs Creepy so be on the lookout for a coordinating page soon.  I’ve been a fan of The Octopode Factory for a long while now, but just as a lurker.  After seeing so many Art Journal pages using Lily’s fabulous images I couldn’t resist any longer!

I began by coloring Creepy Santa with my Spectrum Noir markers then cut him out and sat him aside.

My background page in my Dylusions journal was sprayed with Postbox Red, a dab of MeltedChocolate, and Black Marble Dylusions ink sprays.  I did a bit of ghosting on the background with a gears stencil from Crafter’s Workshop and a spray bottle of water.  Next I added some of the trees from the Christmas Backgrounds Dylusionsstamp set.

Next I traced the lights through the large Trees stencil with a micron pen.  I also traced all the lights on plain white cs and added skull faces to each to create some creepy skull lights.  These were cut out and adhered over the lights on the page.  I also added some Lime Dry Stickles glitter to the top of each light for a bit of distressed bling.

My tree was sprayed with a combo of Fresh Lime, Cut Grass, and Melted Chocolate Dylusionssprays to crate an Olive tree.   I then traced around the tree to define it then added some bats from Bits and Bats Dylusionsstamp set.  And what creepy tree would be complete without a skull topper with a bow?

Supplies:
Creepy Claws Digi stamp (The Octopode Factory)
Bits and Bats, Christmas Backgrounds, Christmas Words stamps (Dylusions)
Large Trees stencil (Dylusions)
Black, Postbox Red, Melted Chocolate Ink Sprays (Dylusions)
Lime Dry stickles Glitter (Ranger)
White poster pen (sharpie)
Black micron pens
Spectrum Noir markers: DG3, DG2, CG2,R5, DR2, CR9, IG9, IG7, IG6, IG5, IG2, IG1

Hope you enjoy and hope you have a creep-tastic Christmas!

Stampendous meets Core'dinations

The Stampendous team is  having another week of fun with Core'dinations this week!  I must say I looove my Core'dinations cardstock...my go to cardstock!

My card today features two different styles of Core'dinations.  The Poison panel was dry embossed on Black Magic cardstock and then sanded with my Sand It Gadget.

I used Tim Holtz Distress Kraft Core Cardstock for the base and stamped the Tin Panel background stamp directly onto it with Archival Black Ink (which gives a lovely textured look).  I also stamped the tin panel onto the kraft side of more of the Kraft Core cardstock and then sprayed that with Dylusions ink sprays.  (I used Crushed Grape, Squeezed Orange, and Pure Sunshine)  After I cut out this panel with a Nesting Label die I gently sanded part of the edges.

I also stamped Punkin Kitty on the Kraft side and colored her with my Spectrum Noir markers.  And of course not card is complete without a bit of Fran'tage Essentials.  I added some Aged Black embossing Enamel to the Oval Tin panel.

Be sure to hop around and see the other fabulous projects today!

Halloween Art Journal pages

I've been playing in my Art Journal again...this is a set of pages that I started a week or so ago and finally finished this morning.  I started by spraying my pages with water and then Squeezed Oranges, Lemon Zest and Crushed Grapes Dylusions ink sprays.

I did Dyan's ghosting technique with the Chequered Dots stencil and a water mist.  I then used the same stencil and added new Tim Holtz Metallic Distress Stain in Antique Bronze.

The letters on this page I drew myself mimicking Dyan's style :)  The spider, web and cat are from the Bits and Bats stamp set by Dyan Reaveley.  Also added some doodling with my favorite white gel pen from Signo.

Here's the kitty closer...and we all know I love anything feline!  I created a fence for him to sit on with a chevron stencil and Black Marble Dylusions ink spray.

This is the facing page.  Same colors and techniques on the background.

The trees are from the same Bits and Bats stamp set.  Stamped in Versafine Black and then colored with Crushed Grape Dylusions spray and a Ranger water pen.

The letters for this page were traced through the Ho Ho Holly and Let it Snow stencils then doodled in and colored with Squeezed Orange Dylusions and a water pen.

And finally the two pages together.  As a scrapbooker at heart I have a hard time not doing two-page spreads sometimes...and especially when it comes to my favorite time of year...Halloween!

Supplies:
Dylusions Rubber Stamps: Bits and Bats
Dylusions Stencils: Chequered Dots, Hoho Holly & Let It Snow
Dylusions Ink Sprays: Crushed Grape, Lemon Zest, Squeezed Orange & Black Marble
Tim Holtz Metallic Distress Stain
Versafine Onyx black; Ranger Water pen
Signo White Gel pen; Copic Multi-liner pens

Stampendous! New Release Peeks Day 1 & Blog Candy

Welcome to a week of peeks of all the brand new stamps and Fran'tage essentials from the Stampendous! team!  Everyday this week we will be sharing new stuff with you!  Be sure to check the Stampendous! blog daily so you don't miss out on the daily list of who's posting!

The new July Catalog is up for your viewing pleasure, and the individual items should be on the website in the next fews days.  Many of your local stores already have shipments of new product in!

My first tag for you today appeared on the new July catalog. I stamped the Raven Background in Versamark ink then het embossed it with NEW Aged Wine embossing Enamel (my new fav!!)  I then added some pine branches from Jumbo Pine Boughs embossed in Aged Green embossing Enamel.

I then inked over the whole tag in Spiced Marmalade, Cried Marigold, Chipped Sapphire and Vintage Photo using a sponge applicator, added some ribbon and twine from May Arts and volia!

And I wanted to share a tag with you that I created yesterday on a whim combining the Fran'tage style with Dylusions ink sprays.  I was demoing at The Stamp Scrap Art tour with both products and thought it would be fun to combine!  (sorry its a bad pic, its from my phone)

I started by spraying orange, purple, and brown ink onto the tag and drying that.  Then I added a dot mask over the top and spritzed with water for a bleached effect.  Again let dry.  Next I stamped my new Steampunk Owl in Archival Black ink and then removed some color around his eyes with a water pen.

Then comes the fun Fran'taging part!  I scattered some Aged Gold Embossing Enamel under the owl and added some Tea Stained Mica and Black Glass Glitter before I heated it.  I added some color to his buckles with a versamark pen and more Aged Gold EE and to his bowtie with Aged Wine EE.

Lastly I added Cling Clock Works background to the top of the tag embossed in Aged Gold EE.  Pretty fun, huh?  I plan to play more with this double technique soon!

Halloween Sprite in Glittery Resin

Are you ready for a week of fun from Stampendous! and Envirotex?  You can catch posts at the Stampendous Blog and  Resin Crafts Blog all week!  EnviroTex Craft Resin is the store site for this fun sticky stuff, so go check it out!   You can float or embed all kinds of amazing stuff in the resin...ooh... Fran•táge, here we come!

For my project today I knew I wanted to float some of the new Trick or Treat Color Fragments (coming this month to a store near you!)  So, I needed a slightly bigger piece of media to work with than the bottle caps and bezels that I had.  I grabbed a couple of square Ranger Memory Glass Frames and went to work!

First I stamped my image, Halloween Sprite ( a new large stamp from Stampendous available soon) and cut out a small portion.  I also cut a chipboard square the same size.  After I colored her with my Spectrum Noir markers I applied a thin coat of Glossy Accents to seal the color and let that dry.  Then I adhered this to the chipboard then inserted it into the frame.

Next I added a small amount of my craft resin to the inside of the frame then dropped in bits of Trick or Treat Color Fragments and Black Glass glitter.  Finally I added more of the resin and let it set.  This stuff is like a kazillion coats of varnish, so pretty and shiny, but takes forever to dry so I did the whole project over my Craft mat so I could peel it off if any escaped the frame!  Added a few ribbon scrps and voila!
