I write this post with great hesitation. I am not a huge fan of fishing (obviously as I am a vegetarian). However, K saw some kids fishing near his grammy's house last week and became obsessed with the idea of trying it out himself. His grammy bought him a fishing pole and he caught his first fish this past weekend. None of us loved the idea of hooking a fish (or unhooking it for that matter) so I'm not sure how often he's actually going to get to fish. I think what he needs is a nice fish net. :)

Playing Farm
We pulled out some Lincoln Logs to play with the other day and made ourselves a farm. K had a lot of fun, especially with the chicken coop. Today when K asked his dad to play animals he insisted they build another farm rather then use the barn that he has. I'm glad he enjoyed these same toys that I loved as a kid.

Father's day
I know. I'm a little late. We spent our father's day at Detroit's Modern Art Museum. They had an awesome family day including making sun prints, making terrariums, and raw food tasting.
Later we headed to the woods so we could float boats again. We also had a great time at the local park sliding down the turf on cardboard. :)

Sailing our boats
Today K and I went down to a local playground that has a trail and creek running through the back of it. We found a nice spot along the creek and sailed our two little boats. The rainbow one is from a swap and the blue one is from a garage sale. We tied yarn onto the backs and watched them float down the creek. K loved pulling his boat out and throwing it back into the water.
