15mm E-50 Section (Heer46)

 

Back to Heer46 this morning. Two E-50's with some minor mods, and yes the obligatory "red oxide" panel so often loved of the Paper Panzer Brigade, I may do some more un-primed panels on some Panther II's, but lets see.

15mm E-100 Twin 88mm Turret (Forged in Battle)

 

One of my favourites of this first batch, this is the Forged in Battle (FIB) E-100 with twin 8.8cm turret. Again no major mods from me, apart from belt sanding off the integral base, just paint after that!

15mm E-75 (Heer46)

 

More paper panzer goodness from heer46, this time two E-75. Only minor mods from me, have removed the tracks guards on both as I prefer the look, also removed all fixings from the chassis on one to make some clean sides.

15mm E-100 with Krupp Turret (Heer46)

Couple of E100 variants coming up soon; this one, again, from Heer 46. I've battered it around a bit, so its lost some track guards. The camo was pain and the pictures are a bit washed out but its a lovely cast. As usual more pictures:

15mm Panzer VII Löwe (Heer46)

 This is the first of a large Paper Panzer commission coming through. 15mm Cast  ( and 505 Green Knight decal ) from Heer46, added a few handles but nothing major. As always more pictures up on my flickr.

Infra red 251 - "UHU" Eagle Owl

 

Sd.Kfz. 251/20 - Schützenpanzerwagen (Infrarotscheinwerfer) "Eagle Owl" 60 cm Infra Red Searchlight.  1/56 Warlord Games, painted as it comes, although it's sold with an operator, he's not seen here.

Tinkering with....Clockwork Goblin Minis - Panzer '46 Mecha/Walker type thingies

Been playing a bit.... in amongst the Paper Panzers I thought I'd add some offerings from Clockwork Goblin miniatures. I've added some stowage and Peter Pig crew to the two American walkers and some turret schurzen on the German walker. Not sure whether to base these or leave them free standing

Tinkering with ---- Heer46 Coelian turret & PSC Panther

Interesting new project on the horizon, some Paper Panzers/ 1946 in 15mm. In preparation I thought I'd dig out a Heer46 Coelian turret I had waiting around and marry it with a PSC Hull.

With the '46 stuff I get some latitude both in build and paint so I did the following mods for starters:

a) Re-cut turret ring to accept the Coelian turret
b) Drilled out the commands hatch
c) Added turret and glassis plate grab rails ( some precedence for this I have seen these as a field mod on a bergepanther
d) Added two spare barrels on the engine deck.

 

 

Post Note: I'm really, really, impressed with the quality of the PSC kits, outstanding and excellent post service as well. I have some M5 halftracks which I will convert in IDF variants for Yom Kippur and Shermans and Stuarts for a Normandy project. I whole-heartedly recommend them 100%
