On June 22, 1970, The Bowman Body, first appeared hosting movies in a special week long Shock Film Festival on channel WXEX in Richmond, Virginia. This eventually became an ongoing show called Shock Theatre , which lasted until 1976. Bowman started up again in 1977, this time hosting Cobweb Theatre on Charlottesville, Virginia's WVIR channel 29, which lasted until 1979. Dr. Creep Passes Away

Barry Hobart, who played Dr. Creep on Saturday Night Dead and Shock Theatre in Dayton, Ohio, passed away on January 14, 2011 at age age 68 after a long bout of illnesses. Dr. Shock, Nurse Goodbody, Dirge, and Dingbat have have been revived in a new version of Shock Theatre , which originally aired in the 1970s with other actors playing the parts. The show premiered on October 30, 2010 in Chattanooga, Tennessee as a Halloween special on WTVC Ch 9 and thisTV. Roland Rock

Before John Zacherle moved to New York and became Zacherley, he starred as Roland on Shock Theatre in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. John Zacherle Halloween Special 1991

In addition to hosting horror movies and cartoons, Zacherley's alter ego, John Zacherle, was also a radio disc jockey. At various times he was on WCBS-FM and WNEW-FM in New York. Even after he stopped working in radio regularly, he would return to do Halloween specials, with the most recent being in 2008. One of these specials aired on October 31, 1991 on WCBS-FM 101.1 in New York.
