Christmas 2010
We had a great Christmas!! My parents were able to come sleep over on Christmas Eve again. We started the night by going to my Grandmas for a Christmas Eve party with all of our extended family. We then came home and opened PJ's. The kids love that part!

(Mom and Todd showing off their new PJ's)

(Todd riling up the kids right before bed time)
Brinley read us a book (I Believe in Santa Claus) and then we read Luke 2. Then, the hard part happens...we try to get the kids to go to sleep. It isn't easy!!! I keep having to tell myself... "They are excited...its hard to sleep on Christmas Eve". Finally they fell asleep and Santa came!
Brinley was hoping for a hamster this year. I told her that Santa doesn't bring animals. But she kept hoping. She did tell me that she would not be disappointed if he didn't bring it because she knew she would love whatever she got for Christmas. Jentry had just had her birthday so she had no real wishes for Christmas. She did want a new pair of boots tho. Ty wanted a CARS Wii game and Chase wanted a Remote Control Monster Truck.
We got up at around 7 and the kids made their way down the stairs to this:
Jentry:

Brinley:

Ty and Chases:

The Family's:

As you can see Brinleys hamsters weren't there. I could tell she was looking around for them though. She even went over to Jentrys loot to make sure he didn't accidentally leave them there. She then went back to her stuff and started to see what she got. I asked her if she was disappointed and she said No. But you could tell she was. After a minute or two I said, "Oh yeah, Santa left a letter for you!" She read it and Santa talked about how he was sorry he couldn't bring her a hamster. He had given the last one to a girl in Boston but he hoped that she was excited with what he did bring her. Then PS go look down by the TV. She ran down there and gasped and oooooo'd and awwww'd. Santa had left her two guinea pigs. She couldn't have been more excited.

Heres one of the two guinea pigs

We then made breakfast and after a little mishap with the burned bacon... eh, I won't go into details about that...

My sister came over and we opened presents. We then went to my other grandmas and my other grandmas again. It was a busy day but that's how we like it!! The next day we went and celebrated up at Scotts parents but I forgot my camera. :(
We had a great Christmas and feel very blessed this year!

My Ty is FIVE!
They all just keep growing and growing.
Here's the famous "just got woke up to open presents" look. It cracks me up!

Here is one when he is a little more awake!

These are Ty's words about his birthday:
It was good. We went to Chuck E Cheese's and what else did we do? Uh, we got presents. I got to play my video game that I got from my brother in the morning. My Grandma and Grandpa came down. After Chuck E Cheeses we got to go to Sizza-wer. (Sizzler) And now Im almost six.

This years Christmas Card
I think it turned out pretty cute! Considering the second I went to take their picture Ty stepped in a big ol dog turd! *rolleyes*. And then none of those pictures ended up working so I had to get them all dressed again and go for round two. Luckily we got some pretty cute photos the second time around!
I have a tee... Jentry is a tee... I cant say it. Jentry had another birthday!
I cant believe it. But we have a teenager (there, I said it) in the house!!! Jentry celebrated her 13th Birthday in December! She had a pretty great day! It started like all birthdays do in this house... an early wake up call!!! We like to open presents before Scott goes to work which means waking the kids up dark and early! This year we got Jentry some boots, an outfit, and $50 towards her i-pod fund she has been saving up for.
During school I went and snuck some roses in her locker.
That night we went to Chuck-a-rama with my parents. We just happened to stop by Sams and they had a i-pod on sale. It was the display model and right in Jentrys price range! So she was able to get that. She was so excited!!
That Friday she had a party with her cousins and her BFF. They went and saw Tangled and then came back to our house for an ice cream bar. We had lots of fun toppings for their ice cream. But as you can see...they had more fun pouring it in their mouths then on their ice cream!
Her BFF got to stay for a late night and her cousins got to sleep over! I think she had a pretty fun Birthday!
Oh Christmas Tree (s)
This year I agreed to have a flocked tree. We have had a green one for the last couple of years and Ive loved it! Scotts sister and her husband go and cut us one down and it stays fresh the whole time! And I love it.... but... this year... we went with the flocked...and can I just say.....
NEVER AGAIN!
I hate those things! They are so messy and this one was dead as a door nail by the time Christmas was here. But they are pretty. And the kids did love it...
Here's a few cute pictures of the kids decorating. (I love how the Merry Christmas ornament happened to be right over Chase's head in that picture. So cute)

The kids also got their very own tree for downstairs to do as they pleased with. Brinley took it up to her room for Christmas Eve. She was very excited about that!

Thanksgiving '10
Im not doing too good at taking pics for the Holidays but I wanted to show everyone my cute little Indian Boys. We made these in preschool this year and the boys wore them to Thanksgiving dinner at Grandma Hendricksen's. Of course, they wouldnt look at the camera. But oh well.
Heres another cute picture of Chase and Ty churning butter. We do this every year. And it always makes me think...if I was a pilgrim.. I would be skinnier. Because we wouldnt have butter.
Gonna have a lot of fun this summer!!!
This year I got all of us "The Pass of All Passes". It includes Trafalga, Libertyland, Owlz Games, Utah Flash Games... and the reason I bought them.. a season pass to 7 peaks. We plan to do a lot of swimming this summer (We always do). The kids are super excited about this. We took advantage of Libertyland already and the kids had a great time!

Halloween '10 and Carving Pumpkins
We had lots of fun carving/ painting pumpkins this year. Ty did not like the guts part. But Chase sure did! Jentry didn't want to carve her pumpkin so she ended up painting hers. I think they all turned out super cute! (Too bad I didn't get a final picture of them all!)

This year Jentry was Pippi Longstocking

Brinley was Dracula's Wife

Ty was Iron Man

Chase was Optimus Prime (until it was time to go trick or treating..and then we couldn't find his stinking costume...so he went as Bat Man)

Halloween Party!!
Scott's mom puts on a fun Halloween Party for the grand kids every year!! She does a story about a witch and makes Witches Brew. We do a donut eating contest and a lot of other fun games!! The kids absolutely love it!!
This is the kids listening to Grandma tell about the Witch.
Chase even dared to drink it
After, the older grand kids got to go to Cornbellys and go through their haunted maze. They had a great time!!!
Personal Progress
In our Church, once a girl reaches the age of 12 she is in Young Women's. They goal set and work on 'mini goals' and do 10 hour projects. At the end of the year they have a recognition night and get to display their projects they have been working on. Jentry's project was on Faith. She wrote a short story called "Finding Faith". I was very impressed with her writing!!! She did a great job! She also had to give a talk that night. She loves being in Young Women!!! If anyone wants to read her story she would be more then willing to let you! It's great!
