And we're off!

So tomorrow is the big day! We are leaving for Hawaii at 7:45 am and I am now officially having serious anxiety about the flight! I gave my sweet little son a bit of Benadryl this afternoon to test the affects and what do ya know, it didn't work at all. No, drowsiness, no prolonged sleeping, no nothing! In fact, the babe was up more today than he usually is. This is NOT good. I thought for sure he'd sleep like a rock for a few hours which would make the flight a bit better, but not the case here! So that being said, tomorrow could possibly be a very terrible, miserably long day BUT... the end destination will surely be amazing and so worth it! I'm just hoping that my husband still loves me and my son by the time we get off the plane!

Random thoughts...

* My child would rather eat paper, plastic, or cardboard than play with any of his many baby toys. And... I'm a bad mom and let him do it, all the time. Well, I guess he doesn't really eat it, he just gums it until its mush.

* I absolutely, positively hate the people at Gold's Gym. I probably shouldn't say hate because I really don't know any of them, I just really, really hate being hassled for one thing or another every time I walk into that place. Working out is bad enough and getting harassed by the people that work there makes it that much more unpleasant.

* Eating healthy sucks! Mac and cheese, warm delights, peanut butter twix and brownies will win hands down, any day, over the not too tasty Naked Nuggets from Costco. For something healthy, the nuggets really aren't that bad, but I'll be honest, my self control is severely limited so we'll see how long the eating healthier thing lasts.

* Sometimes when I am home during the day and the baby is sleeping and all is quiet, I get a knot in my stomach. I tend to spend those times thinking way too much about stupid worrisome things instead of enjoying the quiet. It's very strange. It happened just this afternoon and I had to tell myself over and over again to relax. Who does that??? I'm a freak! Maybe I need some Paxil or something!

* Last night Drake was a nightmare! Well, a nightmare for his usual self. He cried on and off for most of the night. Last week I stopped getting up and giving him his binky when he cried out, thinking that it would lead to him realizing that he didn't need his binky all night long. I thought it was working but last night he was worse than ever. I was awake most of the night either listening to him whine or waiting for him to start! Ahh!! He has been such an amazing sleeper from day one and really still is 99% of the time, but this crying business is for the birds. I NEVER get him up out of bed and he is usually not even awake, so you'd think he would stop sooner or later. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's sooner, not later! I do not function on small amounts of sleep.

* Reggie has been driving me crazy lately! The other day, I just about threw him out the window. He woke the baby up from all three naps with his ridiculous barking at absolutely nothing. I really do adore my dogs but I've got to come up with a solution for the barking. My child, like me, requires a lot of sleep and being woken up by the dog is not cutting it.

* We are leaving for Hawaii in six days. Momma and Poppa Weave are taking the whole crew to Hawaii for a little vacation! We are so super excited and grateful for the chance to go however; I am so dreading the flight there and back. I am the world's worst traveler and flying that far with a baby is never a treat, let alone with a sick momma.

* My child is entertaining himself right now by spitting all over himself and he's loving it!

* My mom has had to start back to school this past week and I hate it already! It was so nice this summer to just call her randomly throughout the day to chat about whatever.

I suppose that's enough nothingness for today.

This and that

Well, I obviously don't have anything else to post about other than the little Mr. but I wanted to stick a few new pics on here for Aunt Birdie, Omie, Te-Te and any of our other far away family that may happen by. All is well for the Weavers. The babe is cute as can be and cracks me up everyday! He does the funniest things and is definitely good entertainment!

Lately he has been super obsessed with Baby Einstein. I was given one of the dvds for my shower and just happened to turn it on for him a little while back. One time was all it took for my babe to be hooked! The kid LOVES it! Sometimes I feel like a crap mom because my kid is already glued to the TV but I figure once a day is okay! It's hilarious to watch him watch his "show!" He is enthralled and if you try to stand in his way, he squirms to see the screen! He is such a clone of his dad!

My other three boys are great too! Chris is still working away and has managed to stay busy even during these depressing times. School starts again in two weeks and he is registered and ready to head back after a few year break. We Weavers tend to follow the ten year plan when it comes to our education. Slowly but surely though! Tobie and Reggie are good as ever! They adore Drake and LOVE to kiss him and yes, the kisses always seem to make it right on his little mouth. Yuck, I know, but what can ya do! They just love him!

Other than that... everything is just same ol' same, ol' around here. Life is good! We love all of you family that we don't get to see enough and miss you much!
