Yes Yes I did. I have seriously laughed and laughed and laughed at my friend Brooks many blogs about calling Poison Control. Up untill this past Tuesday December 30th I had never ever called them. Hubby left for work at 7:45 "S" was still asleep I woke up a few min before 8:00 when I came down the stairs and into the Kitchen to get my coffee "S" was standing on the counter in the cabinet eating jelly beans. I pop his tail and send him out of the kitchen. Fast forward 2 hours later we are getting ready to head out the door to meet up with my good friend Misty when I realize the lid is off my medicine and around the same cabinet "S" was just in. I freaked because the medication I take is a pretty high dose. So I called my Hubby and he runs home from the land. Hubby called our pharmacy who told him to call poison control well poison control does not tell us what to do they just say take him directly to the hospital I am calling Highland Medical Center and the ER team will be waiting on you. We get in get a good talking to about medication safety from the nurse. Then the ER doctor comes in and tells us that since its been so long they won't pump his tummy and they are not giving him charcoal that they want us to stick around for 5 hours to monitor him. I have not felt like such a failure in a very long time. I cried and cried it was just a bad day I was so ashamed. Thank God My good friend Brooke Hill was in town visiting with her parents. I knew she had called poison control before so I called to ask her what happens next. Have I mentioned lately how much I love this woman? She knew that I would need someone to watch the older two girls. She throws clothes on her and Bry and heads to meet me at the hospital and picks up my older two kids. I did not even have to ask she was just there. She took them and they had the best time. They went back to Brooke's Mom's house played, then she took them to Mickey Dee's, then to buy bread, then to feed the ducks, then playground and back to Brooke's parents. My kids had the best time and wanted to know when they could go back. We finally were released from the hospital and told to watch him closely sometime around 3:00 pm Ughhhh SO to sum it all up. Pills were in cabinet "S" opened a child proof bottle called poison control they called hospital. We go there sit for hours for them to tell us ummm NO. Ahhhhhh this is where I have been these days watching after his goofy gets into everything tail! That boy keeps me on my toes. We are potty training I will post more about that later, so here you have it my blog I have been working on now for weeks :) Blessings
