Turtle Beach is out with its first accessory in its sim racing ecosystem – the VelocityOne Multi-Shift. And much like its base sim racing package, the Multi-Shift is a multi-purpose shifter that can be set up as an h-pattern shifter, sequential shifter, or a handbrake. It can even be configured for up to 14 gears with a high and low mode. But, like I found in my full VelocityOne Race review, is it trying to do too much? Let’s check it out.

DJI has just released its latest action camera, the Osmo Action 5 Pro. Besides being the next numerical number, this generation also has “Pro” in its name. What gives is that Pro designation? DJI claims 13.5 stops of dynamic range and up to four hours of battery life. Combined with 47GB of internal storage, will it be my new favorite action camera for motovlogging? Today, GoPro is announcing its latest flagship action camera—the GoPro Hero13 Black. With interchangeable lenses and a familiar magnetic mounting system, it’s been upgraded with some nice quality-of-life features. Under the hood, resolutions, and frame rates are all nearly identical to the older Hero12 Black. Be sure to watch the video below to see it in action. 

Razer is refreshing its immersive gaming headset lineup with the new Kraken V4. This means it delivers big audio and EQ customization and packs Razer’s Chroma RGB. I’ve only had it for a few days, but it is now available, so let’s get it out of the box, and I’ll give you some of my early impressions. Be sure to hit the video below to see and hear it in action.

Moza’s latest sim racing accessory is the Vision GS Steering wheel. With a futuristic GT-centered design, the Vision GS incorporates a premium build and materials, a rotating display, and 72 programmable input signals for a genuinely immersive sim-racing experience. Expanding its affordable, foldable sim-racing cockpits line-up, the Next Level Racing Formula Lite Pro comes in at just $300. It’s designed to pack down and be easily stored with all of the sim-racing hardware still attached. But does it provide the strength and comfort needed for long gaming sessions? This year, Beyerdynamic is adding to its gaming headset line-up with the brand new $330 MMX 300 Pro. We’ve gone hands-on with the MMX 100, 150, and 200 in the past, but the MMX 300 Pro utilizes the Stellar.45 driver from Beyerdynamic’s studio headphones and has been designed with long term comfort and repairability in mind. NZXT’s latest case is a further iteration of one of its older cases – the H7 Flow. It takes design elements from dual chamber cases like the H9 and H6, and delivers a spacious area for building and ample room for fans. With a vertical PSU mount, the new H7 Flow can fit three 120mm fans on bottom, 360mm radiator up top, and a 420mm radiator in front. Be sure to hit the video below to see all of the details. 

While wireless earbuds are increasingly popular because of their small size and affordable nature, the water gets murkier when it comes to gaming. Not only do they need to sound good and preferably be affordable, but they also need decent battery life and be comfortable for longer gaming sessions. For those reasons, I’ve only found a few wireless gaming earbuds that I’ve actually enjoyed using. I’ll mainly be talking about the recent ASUS ROG Cetra SpeedNova true wireless earbuds for this review, but I’ll also sprinkle in my experiences with other earbuds I’ve tried over years and what makes them stand out or, more often than not, what makes me put them back in the box. Be sure to hit the video below for all of the details.

Finally, the Moza R3 is officially available! At just $400, it’s the cheapest direct drive sim-racing bundle officially licensed for Xbox. I reviewed the bundle back in August of 2023, but due to licensing delays with Microsoft, it wasn’t available to the mass market until today. But have my thoughts on it changed since the review?  Next up in our coverage of Turtle Beach’s latest releases is the brand-new Stealth 500 multi-platform gaming headset. At just $80, it’s the entry-level current-generation wireless headset from Turtle Beach. It features wireless and Bluetooth, is super lightweight, and packs signature audio modes like Superhuman Hearing, and I didn’t expect to like it as much as I do. Things are getting a little crazy in the lightweight gaming mouse market. Today, the Turtle Beach Burst II Air is officially available. Weighing in at just 47g, Burst II Air is one of if not the lightest gaming mice from a big-name brand that I can think of. I love the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless – it’s absolutely packed with premium features that make it work in a wide variety of scenarios across multiple platforms. My only complaint in my original review was that the ANC nubs in the earcups were too prominent and ruined the comfort for me. Now in 2024, SteelSeries has released a white version of the $350 premium multi-platform gaming headset with much smaller ANC nubs! So it should be perfect now, right? Razer’s latest high-end gaming mouse is the Viper V3 Pro. We got a taste of what could be in store back with the V3 Hyperspeed last fall but it only left me waiting for this – the 54g symmetrical gaming mouse that’s aimed directly at taking down one of the FPS kings, the Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2. So how does it perform for the $160 price tag? Be sure to hit the video to find out.

Insta360 is back with its latest 360 action cam, the X4. Capturing immersive video in up to a crazy 8K 360° video, it’s been upgraded with a bigger battery and protection with removable lens guards. Combined with some of the easiest-to-use mobile editing features, Insta360 is delivering even more creative possibilities with its latest candy bar-sized camera. Today, Logitech is out with the latest esports-focused gaming peripheral, the Pro X 60 keyboard. Making even more room for big mouse swipes than the TKL from last year, the Pro X 60 embraces the popular compact 60% keyboard layout but adds speed and some of the most robust key mapping we’ve ever seen via KeyControl in Logitech G Hub. While the $380 Astro A50X has been out for a few months now, it wasn’t until the latest firmware update that it started working as intended for me. I’ve been using it on my live streams from the sim rig, but the HDMI switching never worked between my Xbox Series X and Philips Momentum 55 monitor. Wyze is out with its latest feature-packed budget home security camera, the Wyze Cam v4. With a long list of upgrades in addition to the standard specs we’ve come to expect with Wyze cameras, it’s a welcomed update to the three-year-old Cam v3. With more direct drive wheelbases hitting the market, the search for the best sim racing cockpit continues. We’ve tried the Playseat Trophy and the new entry-level GTRacer from Next Level Racing but now we’re taking things up a notch with the GT Omega Titan. While not the top-of-the-line cockpit that the Scottish company sells, it’s a solid choice for a sim-racing cockpit and has been a great upgrade for my live streams. Battlefield Season 7 is right around the corner, and like most updates, EA/Dice invited members of the press and creators to take a sneak peek and try out what’s coming up in a “capture event.” While we couldn’t try out everything that will be released throughout the full season, we did get to try the new maps, and most of the new weapons, and get a feel for some of the other core changes made to gameplay coming in Battlefield 2042 Season 7. Turtle Beach is no stranger to gaming peripherals and even sim equipment with a variety of flight accessories. Now, with the VelocityOne Race, Turtle Beach is entering the racing world. NZXT is out with its 2nd generation of peripherals, the Function 2 and Function 2 MiniTKL keyboards, as well as the Lift 2 Symm and Lift 2 Ergo mice. They’ve taken feedback from the 1st generation and honed their offerings. But will they find their place in today’s highly competitive gaming peripheral market? For me, 75% layout keyboards strike the perfect balance of functionality and a small gaming-friendly footprint. While they’re still not as common as full-size, TKL, or even 60% keyboards, we are starting to see the number for 75% layouts growing from big-name brands like Razer, Glorious, and now Corsair with the K65 Plus. Wireless, hot-swap, packing multiple layers of sound dampening, and coming in at just $160, the Corsair K65 Plus has a lot going for it. Be sure to hit the video below to see all of the details. 

We’ve covered many EarFun budget earbuds on 9to5Toys and typically, my take on them has been pretty positive. For an affordable price, EarFun often delivers a surprisingly comfortable earbud with an incredible feature list and good audio. But can its latest release, the$50 EarFun Air 2 carry that torch of budget greatness? Be sure to hit the video below to see all of the details. 

With the release of EA’s WRC rally game last year, more people might be dipping their toes into the wild world of driving very fast cars very fast down narrow dirt roads. One piece of hardware that can make the experience more immersive is a sequential shifter. It might be a bit of a one-trick-pony compared to some more expensive offerings from other brands, but the quality for $130 price tag, the Moza SGP Sequential Shifter seems to be a sweet spot for those looking for something specific. Nvidia is starting the year off with some new GPUs – the 4070 Super, 4070 Ti Super, and the 4080 Super. The first to be released is the 4070 Super, which is now available. The 4070 Ti Super comes out on January 24, and the 4080 Super will be released on January 31st. To start things off, we got our hands on the PNY 4070 Super Verto Overclocked card. We covered one of the best budget controllers for Xbox last year with the Gamesir G7 SE but Turtle Beach has since released the Stealth Ultra which comes in on the opposite side of the spectrum. And given the state of other “premium” controllers on the market (I’m looking at you, Microsoft Elite 2 Core), it’s a welcomed addition to the line-up. Wireless with Hall Effect joysticks, mechanical buttons, and a smart, digital menu, the Stealth Ultra comes in at $200. For that price, has Turtle Beach released the new controller king? As more direct-drive wheelbases become available, and some of them at a more entry-level torque power, the need for an affordable sim-racing cockpit that supports direct-drive wheelbases is growing. Next Level Racing, which provides entry-level wheel stands up to robot-like robust sim racing cockpits saw the need and now has the GTRacer that we are looking at today. Coming in at $399, it’s a setup from the foldable GTLite for those who need a bit more stability for more powerful wheelbases. Be sure to hit the video below to see all of the details. 

From the popular R5 bundle to the powerhouse R21, Moza’s ecosystem of direct-drive sim racing gear keeps expanding at a rapid rate. Now, Moza is releasing updated versions of some of its more powerful wheelbases to align with its more modular ecosystem. As we approach the holiday season, it’s a great time to reflect on some of the best tech we’ve covered this year and share what might be worth watching for upcoming deals. After finishing a build in the NZXT H9 computer case at the beginning of 2023, I loved the look and convenience of dual-chamber designs. But the H9 is a massive case that takes up a lot of room on my desk. Enter the new NZXT H6 – a compact dual-chamber mid-tower with the conveniences of a place to tuck a PSU and cables, but it isn’t as large as the H9. And it has a handy design trick that makes it look even smaller when sitting at my desk. It might be the “just-right” case for my setup. Head below for the full video on the latest cases from NZXT.

Recently, SteelSeries released its new Alias and Alias pro microphones aimed at streamers. While other companies have been quicker to put audio products on the market, SteelSeries has seemed to take its time, analyze what’s available and its downfalls, and release a product that I’m really excited about. And as good as the microphones are, one of the most exciting features is SteelSeries Sonar. It’s a powerful program for streamers and gamers that addresses some issues I’ve personally faced in the past with setting up a stream. Wanting to drive further into the competitive gaming market, today, Glorious is out with four new gaming mice. The Model O 2 and Model D 2 have been given the pro treatment in 1K versions as well as new 4/8K editions. Wireless gaming earbuds have been hit or miss for me. Really, it all comes down to comfort. I loved the Logitech G Fits but couldn’t use the HyperX MIX Buds for very long. But with ANC, huge battery life, and a comfortable fit, the Sony InZone Buds are my new top recommendation for wireless gaming earbuds. And it top it all off, they come in at just $200. Following the wired MMX 100 and 150 gaming headsets we reviewed last year, Beyerdynamic is now out with its first wireless gaming offering – the MMX 200. Packing many of the features of the USB MMX 150, the 200 adds Bluetooth and cuts the cord for a more convenient gaming experience. At $250, though, it’s up against some stiff competition. When Razer reached out and said that they were releasing a new Viper, this wasn’t what I had in mind. Fans of the triple-headed snake brand have been begging for a Viper mini wireless for a long time at this point, and the Viper V2 Pro debuted in May of 2022. But instead of going small and light, today Razer is releasing the Viper V3 Hyperspeed. With a redesigned shell, up to 4000Hz wireless polling (with the Razer.com exclusive wireless dongle), weighing in at 82 grams thanks to its AA battery, and priced at $69.99, Razer is pushing that this is an upgrade for the pro and aspiring pro players. After years of consistently being one of the top mice that pros and hardcore gamers recommend, Logitech has finally released the G Pro X Superlight 2. While, visually, it’s nearly identical to the first generation, there are plenty of upgrades under the hood. Is it worth an upgrade for the $160 price point? Once again, Logitech is shaking up the pro gaming world with two new releases – the G Pro X Superlight 2 mouse and the Pro X TKL keyboard. With the latest sensor and new hybrid switches, the Superlight 2 is looking like a no-brainer for pro gamers. Completely redesigned, the Pro X TKL also has new thoughtful features. While I work on putting together a full “behind the screens” tour of my YouTube studio, I wanted to call out a particular piece I recently added. I’ve used Flexispot desks in the past and use one for my main editing setup, but adding the Flexispot Q8 Comhar Pro feature-packed standing desk as an additional main angle and b-roll table has been a welcomed improvement to my workflow. The latest mouse from Glorious skips its typical release schedule by both cutting the cord and jumping directly to the next generation. The Model I 2 Wireless packs the same customizable ergonomic bones as the original Model I but also has a few notable updates including the $100 Gen 2 wireless price tag. In February, I got the Mini-LED version of the AGON Pro AG274QZM 27-in 1440p monitor and I’ve been using it ever since. Today, though, we have its brand-new OLED counterpart – the AGON Pro AG276QZD. With the same 1440p resolution and 240Hz refresh rate, the OLED version packs an identical price tag of $1,000 but delivers an incredible gaming experience.
