We are in the midst of the big summer game showcases now and next up is quite possibly the biggest of them all, Summer Game Fest 2026. 

Sony first unveiled its PlayStation monitor late last year, and it’s now finally available for pre-order. You can reserve one through Best Buy or the PlayStation Store for $349.99 shipped, with orders currently scheduled to begin shipping on August 8, 2026. This, in case you’re wondering, is Sony’s first gaming monitor to carry the PlayStation branding, making it a notable release for those already invested in the PS5 ecosystem. While there’s still some time before it officially launches, you might want to jump in now to avoid potential shipping delays or limited availability around launch. Nintendo historically hosts a big Direct in June, but last year things were seemingly shifted because of the Switch 2 launch and this left expectations up in the air for 2026. However, industry insiders claimed we were getting something along those lines this month, and one of them just doubled down to confirm/leak the date. 

It’s becoming increasingly difficult to remain excited about SSDs these days, thanks to rising prices driven by industry-wide hikes and ongoing memory shortages. June 2026 will feature the biggest sale events on the internet so far this year. While we historically have to wait until early/mid-July for the massive half year sale events, Amazon has pushed the schedule early this year and it appears as though just about all of the major retailers are following suit. 

Just after Nintendo teased all-new official LEGO Donkey Kong sets, Nintendo announced the classic Donkey Kong 64 for Switch Online, and that day is here. The 1999 release is now live and playable in the Nintendo 64 – Nintendo Classics library for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members. 

Best Buy has now launched a 4-day Apple Shopping sale event. There are a few things to watch out for here though: Amazon’s AirPods Pro 3 and AirPods 4 deals are lower, we just saw (and will likely see again this month) much better deals on M5 MacBook Air – they are $150 off at Best Buy and Amazon still has models at $200 off. Plus MacBook Neo is lower there and the base model M5 MacBook Pro is $50 less at Amazon right now as well. That said, there are some notable deals here. Details below. 

Just we suspected, Walmart is also pushing its big summer sale ahead roughly one month, much like we have seen from Amazon, Best Buy, and Target already. 

Amazon officially announced the 2026 Prime Day start time yesterday and the early deals are now live. We very much expect more early discounts to land this week and next in the lead up to Prime Day 2026, but there are already deep discounts on networking gear, Kindle accessories, and up to 50% off Ring smart home bundles, AirPods Pro 3, and Google gear, plus more.
