Full Suite of Services

Covering All of Your Web Accessibility Needs

Web accessibility is genuinely hard to navigate, and there is a lot of conflicting information out there — along with no shortage of vendors selling shortcuts that don't hold up. What matters is that your accessibility partner is straight with you about what can and can't be promised: there is no ADA certification, and nobody can guarantee you'll never receive a demand letter. What we can do is run the sequence that works — audit, remediate, train, monitor — and show you the numbers behind it.

Why choose 216digital?

216digital isn't your typical web design company, and where we sit in this market is the clearest way to say why. At one end are widgets that bolt a script onto your site and promise compliance without touching the code a claim is about. At the other are full-conformance programmes — five figures and up over months, often delivered as a report your own team then has to implement. We work in between, and we start where your risk is: fixing what actually draws claims, in your site's own code, with the same scanners the filing firms use to pick targets. Full WCAG conformance is the step after that, not the thing we bill you for while you're still exposed.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does 216digital do?

Three service lines. Web accessibility — WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 AA remediation, ADA Title III and Section 508 conformance, demand letter response, ongoing monitoring through a11y.Radar, and role-based training. eCommerce design and development on Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce and Miva. And digital marketing — SEO and PPC management.

We have been doing this since 1999, and have completed more than 1,200 accessibility projects.

Where are you located, and do you work with clients outside Ohio?

We are at 2208 E Enterprise Pkwy, Twinsburg, OH 44087, just outside Cleveland — and we work with clients across the United States. Accessibility remediation, monitoring and training are all done remotely; nothing about the work requires us to be local to you.

Can you guarantee my website will be ADA compliant?

No, and we would be careful with anyone who says otherwise. There is no Department of Justice regulation setting an accessibility standard for private-business websites and no such thing as ADA certification, so “compliant” is not a state anyone can certify you into. Nobody controls who files claims either.

What can be reduced is measurable risk, in your own code, with documentation. The longer answer is on our ADA Risk Mitigation page, and we have written about why the promise is unrealistic in Why 100% ADA Compliance Isn't Realistic.

How do you compare to overlay widgets and the big conformance firms?

They are three different purchases. Overlay widgets are inexpensive and install in an afternoon, but they do not change the code a claim is about, and the 2025 filing data shows no meaningful drop in lawsuits for the sites running them. Full-conformance programmes sit at the other end — typically five figures and up over months, often audit-and-report only — and are the right call if you are a government entity or a federal contractor.

Most of our work is the risk question in between: fix what actually draws claims, in your own code, using the same scanners the filing firms use to pick targets. We do full conformance too when that is the real requirement. What to Look for in a Web Accessibility Vendor compares all three tiers, including where we are not the right fit. Overlay, Remediation, or Conformance: Which Do You Need? walks through all three and how to tell which one your situation needs.

Does remediation actually keep businesses out of trouble?

It helps most when it does not stop at remediation. A prior lawsuit is one of the strongest predictors of the next one — 46% of website accessibility cases filed in federal court in 2025 named a company that had already faced a claim.

Fewer than 5% of our a11y.Radar clients who complete remediation, act on what the monitor reports, and stay below our risk thresholds have faced a new ADA lawsuit. That covers filed lawsuits, which are public record and which we track; it excludes demand letters, which are not public. Results vary based on the facts of each case.

How does working with you start?

With a free briefing: we scan your site, walk you through what is real and what is overreach, and tell you what remediation would actually involve before you commit to anything. Get in touch to set one up.

One exception worth stating plainly. If a demand letter or lawsuit has already arrived, talk to an attorney first, and before you change anything on the site. We work alongside your legal counsel rather than in place of them, and we do not give legal advice. If you don't have an attorney, ask us — we keep a short list we trust and take no referral fee for the introduction.
