Frequently Asked Questions

Is 216digital a legitimate company?

Yes. 216digital is a web accessibility and development firm that founded in 1999 and operating from 2208 E Enterprise Pkwy, Twinsburg, OH 44087. The company is an accredited Better Business Bureau business, employs a nine-person team led by CEO Greg McNeil, and has completed more than 1,200 web accessibility projects.

What does 216digital actually do?

Three service lines. Web accessibility: WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 AA remediation, ADA Title III and Section 508 conformance, demand letter and settlement support, and ongoing monitoring through our a11y.Radar service. Web design and development, with a focus on eCommerce platforms — Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, and Miva. And digital marketing: SEO and PPC management.

Does 216digital use accessibility overlays or widgets?

No. We remediate accessibility issues in the site's own code. Overlay and widget products layer a scripted patch over an inaccessible site; they do not fix the underlying markup, and sites using them have continued to draw ADA demand letters and lawsuits. Our engagements produce changes in the codebase, verified against WCAG success criteria.

What happens after an ADA website accessibility lawsuit?

First, talk to an attorney — we work alongside your legal counsel, not in place of them. If you don't have one, ask us: we keep a short list of attorneys we trust from years of these cases, and we take no referral fee for the introduction. The technical side then runs in your site's own code, and for most clients it is largely hands-off: we scope what needs to be fixed, do the technical work, then walk your team through the items only you can own and train you on checking your own work afterward. One client's full account of that process is in our ADA lawsuit case study. If a demand letter is what brought you here, our demand letter response page covers the first steps.
