Because of the high temperatures at the moment, it has become a little quieter on my craft table. That's why I'm working on some smaller projects at the moment. The Maggie Booster is lying around since a Christmas Sale. Now I finally had time to apply some paint.

Zombicide: Behind bloody doors
During last stressful week not much time was left to do some zombie painting. So there are only three more of them and two additional doors.
The next seven zombies and the last five doors are primed.

Zombicide: Doors, Zombies and Abomination
It was a very productive week. Ten doors were based and primed, three of them are now fully painted. In addition a bunch of zombies (three standard walkers, two runners) and the big one abomination are completed.
The miniature doors are not part of the Zombicide board game, which comes only with flat cardboard counters. The doors are made of resin and can be ordered from Pardulon. These little entrances and exits will be much more visible on the board layout and will add a nice, vintage HeroQuest feeling to the game.

Zombicide: Survivors
The first three survivors are ready to fight the undead.
The miniatures are made of very flexible plastic and so they have not so much fine detail to work with. So I decided to use very thin coats of the basic colors and lot of inks and washes. Because there are so many figures in the box, I wanted a quick approach to paint them. These three survivors were completely painted in less than 4 hours, including priming. The quality is not my usual standard, but I'm not unhappy with this kind of speed painting.

Does anyone have ammunition? A first attempt with Zombicide
Welcome to a new year full of miniatures, tabletop games and hopefully other cool stuff around our hobby.
End of last year I decided to throw my money at a Kickstarter project: Zombicide. Now it was time to give it a first try with the tutorial mission, which should last around 30 minutes.
So I grabbed my girlfriend, gave her three of the characters and confronted her with the advancing undead. Zombicide is a very fast paced game in which the players are playing against the mechanics of the game, the zombies. The survivors have at least 3 actions in each round (e.g. move, melee, use of ranged weapons, loot, trade, etc.). Most of the zombies got 1 action (move or attack). Each of the characters can carry up to 5 items, which are represented with equipment cards that are placed on the character sheet. In addition each character has different properties.
We had a lot of fun to collect equipment, to kill zombies and to try to meet the mission objective. There are dozens of different scenarios, which differ significantly in difficulty and board composition.

Zombicide: The Fat Mechanic
"Your car needs a repair? I am trustworthy..."
Big Bob's Motor City, a too big name for such a sucking backyard workshop, was an ugly place with ugly cars and an ugly big fat Bob. One day some very, very ugly zombies entered Bob's garage and wanted new blood instead of oil. But that's (undead) life. He's smelling these days, maybe he was rotting under a car for too long, maybe this was Bobs normal condition anyway. So you better run now, if Bob's stumbling around a corner to offer you his services.

Zombicide: Female Undead
"Zombicide", an undead boardgame, was a birthday present this year. It has a lot of miniatures, most of them zombies. So I decided to make them a little bit scarier, then the usual plastic grey. In the coming month I hope to complete this task as a little side project.
