Race Level 1 Performance Course

Race Level 1 Performance Course

I undertook the Race L1 Performance Course with CAT Driver Training on 27 Aug 2026 as part of the Mission Motorsport Team.

I have to state that it would be extremely difficult to criticise any aspects of my day. The pre-course admin was clear, efficient and all communication was extremely friendly and helpful.
Prior to actual driving, the theoretical explanations for each stage, were clear and communicated in a very easy to understand way. Once in the car, Colin's clear and calm tuition had me viewing fast driving in a different way. This resulted in a greater understanding of what was happening and significantly better car control, leading to faster and safer lap times.
I learned more in one day with Colin, than my last 35+ years of road driving with the odd track day.
The CAT DT Team looked after us both in and out of the car, in a manner that I can only describe as simply First Class.
Thank you Jo, Colin and the CAT DT Team. Nice job!

Another bad review

Sorry Max Spielmann, yet another bad review for you.
I submitted my jpeg photos online and arranged for collection at a local store. After a week went by and no notification for collection, I contact customer services and was advised to check directly with the collection store as notification emails often don't go out!!!
I then checked with the store and no joy.
After contacting customer services yet again, I was advised that Max Spielmann have no record of my order!!!!!!!
All I can say is that these guys must be really special to lose an online submission!!!!!!
Unprofessional and staffed by people who couldnt care less!

Review of Halfords Autocentres

Halfords Cripple a Blue Badge Driver

Booking Ref Number: A211B070072
Case number: 22880145
Halfords Auto Centre (Filton), BS34 7JU

Any organisation looks professional when activity goes as expected. However, the true mark of an organisation is how they behave when things don’t go as planned!

PLEASE, save yourselves a whole load of trouble and take your car elsewhere! 1 star is far too good for this organisation.

On 25 March, I delivered my car to Halfords (Filton) for it’s annual MOT. Shortly after delivery, I was told that the petrol emissions test machine was not functioning. I was advised that the MOT could not take place and that a new booking will be made.

I advised the Manager that I am a disabled ‘blue badge’ holder and that my current MOT would expire on 31 March. In fact, over the next 2 days, I advised Halfords on three separate occasions that without my car, I am unable to leave my house and in real terms imprisoned within my property.

NOBODY FROM HALFORDS COULD BE BOTHERED TO CONTACT ME OR REARRANGE THE MOT.

On 2 April, I wrote to the Halfords Resolution Team advising them of the situation and that I was now entirely housebound. On the 11 April (11 days after forced imprisonment) I received a response from Halfords Resolution offering me a refund and an alternative MOT booking.

If you read other less favourable reviews for Halfords Auto Centre’s, you will start to see a pattern. When there is an issue, Halfords Auto Centre Staff treat customers with absolute contempt and Halfords Resolution Staff just couldn’t give a toss!

This type of service cannot be what Halfords Senior Management/Directors have directed their employee’s towards, I really don’t think that the Senior Management have a clue regarding exactly how bad the customer service has now got at Halfords. The way that a disabled person and ‘blue badge’ holder can be just ‘thrown away’ because booking a new MOT was to difficult for the Auto Centre Manager should tell you everything you need to know about this organisation and how it treats customers.
