We’ve had a really positive experience with Open Study College so far. My daughters are starting their A Levels with the college, and the flexibility of studying online is exactly what we were looking for.

I’d especially like to mention Darren, who was absolutely brilliant from the moment we spoke. He was so friendly, patient and helpful, and took the time to explain everything clearly, answer all of my questions and make sure I fully understood how everything would work.

As a parent, having someone so approachable and supportive made a big difference and gave me a lot of reassurance about the girls starting their courses.

Thank you, Darren, for all your help and for making us feel so welcome. We’re really looking forward to the girls starting their A Levels with Open Study College! 😊

Darren, was exceptional. He got back to me almost immediately after my online inquiry. He gave me great detail on the course I was looking into. He took my questions into account and my prior experience, he gave me advice that I needed. All in all a 12/10 experience. I’m excited to get started - all due to Darren. Thank you once more.

My son found an error in the Physics A Level material on his first day of learning, then he looked at on-line reviews and lost all confidence in the materials. I called to explain and requested a refund. It was within 24 hours of paying. However I was told I had to email to cancel, which I did immediately. However no-one responded or actioned the cancellation. Then they sent me a paper copy of the material a week after I had asked to cancel. I was told to return them before they would issue a refund. I am still waiting for ALL £2109 of my money to be re-paid, despite the written material only being worth £50. This is very poor. Based on our experience I do not recommend

They will happily take money from a minor and when the Minor requests to ensure the exam centre as per their college- they refuse/cannot offer saying they entered into a contract with a 16 year old. They then refuse to give money back and refuse to do any communication on the phone with an adult. To add she had not accessed or used the material so the request is not unreasonable and at the start of the course. She requested a change of exam centre which they said no they cannot offer which was her first preference, then asked for a refund on that one subject not all three to align with her college where the other two do align. They said no. Worth finding a reputable college who will be reasonable and support learners. They have offered a change of course which means 4 A levels and she does not want to do anything else....So again any excuse to keep the money. I have sent a letter and hope they will act appropriately. I hope they deliver the service for the other two subjects. So far they have ignored my email and refused to engage with a me via a manager.

Brilliant, Andrew was amazing

I started a course worth £2000. I asked for change of course but they said ‘NO’ telling because I was on payment scheme. Then I settled the balance and asked to change the course, but they said now they can’t change the course for any reason. My total £2000 gone in-vain. When starting they are so nice, later they don’t care about our circumstances. Total scam. Even they are not returning a penny after the cooling off period.

Absolutely appalling from start to finish!!!! Despite promising us that my daughter would get the minimal support required she has been ignored. Paid over £700 of her own money. Complaints about lack of guidance, support, adjustments and contact dismissed and gaslit. Like to blame the exam centre and vice versa. Exam results still not received. DO NOT USE THIS ORGANISATION PLEASE READ GENERAL REVIEWS ONLINE.

I found my application was made so much easier because of “Andrew” the Open Study Advisor. He took me through all the benefits and services that I would receive in doing my A Level in Law with the College. As an Adult learner I will be able to achieve my “goal” at my own pace. This was a great start to the course and I thank Andrew for his time, patience and commitment today.

Great customer communications and application help.

A course adviser Robert Smith was a great support with going through courses that I was not sure of. He spoke to me in a natural human tone not AI tone, which was refreshing and enjoyable. He had great listening skills and could follow and understand my worries about dealing with pressure. I hope he takes my call next time.

Heard about the college via social media requested a callback to enroll; Andrew was very warm, professional and informative. Very excited to start!

I am pleased to have done this course. My client was Mr Liam he had splits in his nails.
My advise was to see a Dr. I am going to carry some cleansing up and sterilize before he goes.
I shall understand if I do not get my certficate but no photos allowed because of working with people with dementia. Sorry about the Title it would be.( Feeling nail good).Enjoyed the course. Diane Benton.

The overall experience amd how it is set out was easy to use, my tutor julie corbin,has also been amazing no matter how much I struggled or any question I have needed help with she has always been there thank you again.

I was very glad to talk with Paul about the psychology course, and get information and advice as well as guidance on enrolling. It was a very good experience as I've been wishing to enrol for a long time.

Darren was extremely helpful and communicative. Very pleasant to talk to on the phone. Easy to join, excited to start my course.

Rob was great help when choosing between GCSE and A-Levels, accommodating when I asked to discuss over text rather than calling, Rob replied quickly and in a friendly manner that made me feel less anxious. This meant I could choose how to progress calmly and rationally, overall great experience, 10/10, Great communication.

It was really easy to enrol and Rob explained everything to me putting me at ease and answering all my questions 😊

The maths course I wanted to pursue looks good but I decided to go with a different organisation. Now I get daily emails asking me to carry on with my application. I have constantly emailed their support team but the emails keep coming. Maybe this review on trust pilot may get their attention.

Tutor was useless and never replied which puts you behind schedule then very vague and cryptic in their answers then they switched the tutor so many times it was a game of who do I send a message to in order to get help this week. Waste of time and money because they make it impossible to complete your work on time (probably so you have to pay them for the extension) then they lose all your paperwork just before you finish and say "oops we will have to do it all again", feels like I've been scammed which I hope is true rather then them just being incompetent.
