⇨ Japanese Could this giant iron soldier be a spokesperson for the inciting angel? Metatromon looks intimidating and has an angelic appearance, but it bears no connection with Angel Digimon whatsoever, and possesses no holy power at all. It is, in fact, a Machine Digimon to its core.
In addition, while it has an arrogant personality and looks down on others, priding itself on being a Digimon that is the most refined among Machine Digimon—standing at the top—it can also be said to be a wicked Digimon since it has the abilities to match.
The parts that spread out like wings are all autonomous weapons, and are highly-versatile armaments that fire lasers after tracking the enemy, and create an energy field for it to use as a shield. Furthermore, its armor, which gleams like a mirror surface, is very highly defensive, and the view captured by the eyes positioned all over its body covers a full 360-degree range.
Although its body movements are sluggish, it is a powerful Digimon that overwhelms others in battle with actions which leave no openings; for example, being able to fight flexibly thanks to its autonomous weapons.
Its Special Moves are completely stopping the enemy's movements with electromagnetic waves emitted from the iron ring floating above its head (Iron Halo), firing lasers from the eyes covering its entire body (Eyes of Enoch), and annihilating enemies by surrounding them with its wing-shaped autonomous weapons and energy fields (Metatronios).

| Metatromon was introduced in Digimon Liberator as an Ultimate level evolution of Maquinamon. Metatromon’s namesake, "Metatron", and Dalphomon’s namesake, "Sandalphon", are considered twin brother archangels in certain Jewish and Christian writings. Metatromon acts as the final form for the "machine" half of Maquinamon, while the "beast" half is represented by Metatromon’s counterpart, Dalphomon. Metatromon is a Machine Digimon with the appearance of an Angel Digimon, who prides itself as the most refined of all Machine Digimon; in contrast, Dalphomon is instead a Beast Digimon that acts like an Angel Digimon and despises Machine Digimon. Metatromon and Dalphomon fuse together to form Ex Maquinamon.

|
- ↑ In Jewish apocrypha, Enoch is identified as the original human identity of Metatron before his transformation into an angel.
- ↑ Metatronios (μετά θρóνος) is Greek for "one who serves behind the throne" and is hypothesized to be the etymology of the name "Metatron".
