Ashen Void print preview!

I think you may be interested in taking a look at the physical print of the Ashen Void from DTRPG. I'm quite satisfied with the result - the book looks quite sturdy. Only thing I noticed is the fact that they slightly fucked up the cover - it wasn't made properly, which resulted with the logo ending up too high. But I guess I was just unlucky, as my other POD books from DriveThru are way better.

The photos aren't edited in any way, shape or form. My phone has a decent camera and I wanted to show you the print in its "real form", without any enhancements.

Colors are quite dull but it was inevitable with POD standard quality. I don't think that anyone would buy a premium version, as it's ridiculously expensive.

Grays are OK, tables are clear and readable.

Blacks are surprisingly acceptable! And I was really worried about the semi-transparent black frames but they turned out quite okay!

The Goat. It looks good.

Another corpse plundering table is a must. Enlarge the photo to steal the ideas for yourself!

That's it. I'm quite satisfied, with the final result, the book looks good. I think I'll add some of my other booklets to POD option on DriveThru as well.

Have you ever started writing the game...

...because you found an artwork so amazing that you couldn't resist the urge to create a game, just to use that artwork on its cover? I did!

More info about it on the Perilous Path blog.

It will have 32 pages.
It will contain FUCKLOADS of stuff about magical portals, methods of using them, their destinations (really pulpy ones!) and so on.
It will be cheap as fuch ($2,50 for PDF, $5 for print).
And I'm one of the co-authors! :D

It will be available thru the Tsojcanth's webshop (which will be online... soon).

Name generator (and some guidelines)

Probably everyone knows this fantasy name generator. I discovered it relatively late but quickly it became my favourite one. Reason is simple - it's advanced interface allows you to generate almost any type of name. I use it mainly for the alien-sounding names, not resembling ordinary human words.

Advanced interface is really simple to use (especially because there's a detailed guide how to use it) but I want to share with you my sets of "name-seeds" Some of them generate rather typical fantasy names, some are able to spit out really weird things! If you manage to create some other good seeds, feel free to post them in comments - I'll definitely check them out!

With no apparent reason!

Gib / Aos created lots of really outstanding things and posted on his blog. Lots of great artwork with 100% pure Old School feeling, lots of great maps and shitloads of creative content. One of the first OSR blogs I started to read.

Blog of the Month - PLANET ALGOL!

It's a fucking shame that I haven't mentioned it here. Blair's blog is the place where Everything Has Begun - Ideas to create this blog came to my mind when I started to dig in his uber-awesome posts.

It's almost impossible that some of you will not know his blog, but IF - here is a link:

Blog of the Month - Swords & Stitchery

I decided to start promoting underrated OSR-related blogs. First is Swords & Stitchery - your ultimate source of weird Science Fantasy stuff. Man, Needles posts more than five fucking hundred posts per year and has mere 110+ followers! Even my mediocre blog has 125 watchers, so follow his blog or I will hunt you down.

PS. you may find lots of awesome Terminal Space-related stuff by Needles in the Index of Terminal Space resources.

Fusō Battleship.

Built in 1912-1914, sunk in 1945, Japanese battleship Fusō was one of the most visually stunning war machines built by mankind. And its 46-metres-high pagoda-like foremast was FUCKING INTIMIDATING.

Some awesome photos of both ships and ship models. Enjoy!
