Doraemon World 2012
HE, has been my childhood superhero even until now!
HE can grant all your wishes!
He is a great magician, he can give you anything you want, no matter what, where & when!
I wish I have a good friend like HIM!
Who is the HE?
Doraemon (ドラえもん), a robot cat in Japanese manga series created by Fujiko F. Fujio.
On first day of Chinese New Year, together with my family we visited the Doraemon World 2012 held at Arena of Star, Genting Highland. (Ticket price~ Adult :RM 35.00 with special edition Doraemon Touch n’ Go card, Child: RM 30.00)
The limited edition Touch ‘n Go card. All purchase in the carnival is paid by the card, so reload your card at the entrance.
Our Doraemon journey started with a tour to life-sized recreation of all the familiar places of Nerima City conducted by the crew. We were brought to “rooms” with different scenes in the comics. Our major grouch was we were given very limited time to snap photo in every “room” before we were ushered to next room. (Even the light will switch off for the particular “room” >.< )
Below are the scenes of different room:-
First stop: the comic room & introduction of characters in Doraemon comic.
Second stop: The Nobita’s room!
3rd stop: Nobita’s dining room. Sam & hubby joined them for dinner too 😛
Next is Suneo’s living room. The gang chat happily here.
Our last stop travel through the ‘Time Tunnel’ from Nobita’s drawer.
We ended up at the playground where Doraemon, Nobita, Gian, Shizuka and Suneo gather to welcome you to their world. Everything look so familiar, really make me feel like wanna jump for the excitement in my heart!
Sam LOVE Doraemon! She kissed him again & again!
A life-sized Nerima City was built here & photo opportunities are aplenty. So we did a lot of camwhores here, when I said a lot, there are really a lot!
The bad temper neighbour’s house & the school.
Their teacher 🙂
One of their classmate.
Sam with Nobita’s parents.
Sis & Sam with Gian~~ lol
Gian’s mom & sister. lol
We camwhore.
Camwhore.
and camwhore.
and more camwhore!
Assorted Doraemon accessories were sold here, from whistle, sticker, soft toy, money box and T-shirts but all those merchandises were hilariously overpriced!
Doraemon’s favorite snack – Dorakayi which costed us RM 10.00 / piece!
After the satisfying photo session with mannequins & scenes, we proceed to the next part ~ The Doraemon Gallery display all of the familiar gadgets seen on Doraemon.
You can recognize how many of them?
There was a Outdoor Doraemon Carnival awaiting for us after we exit the indoor show gallery. A selection of customized Doraemon game & food booths waiting for your participating.
Had some expensive snacks while waiting for the appearance of the Doraemon & the gang.
Group photo with them *HAPPY*
If you are a Doraemon fans just like me & Sam, don’t miss out this event (until 5th Feb. For more information, please refer HERE.
** Please pardon the poor quality photo by handphone.

You know the weirdest thing? I watched the Doraemon cartoon in Mandarin as a kid before I could even speak Mandarin (something I only picked up as a young adult). And it was funny even with the language barrier. 😀
