Born into a Dutch farming family and shaped by decades spent crossing North America’s backroads and interstates,

Jac Winters writes from a life marked by endurance, quiet observation, and the long work of becoming whole. Canadian‑born and now settled in Green Bay, Wisconsin,

Jac carries the landscapes of both countries in his voice — the fields, the highways, the people met along the way.

His writing began as a private act of survival, a way to make sense of the early wounds that followed him into adulthood.

That impulse became To Say Goodbye Again, a poetry collection that sketches the emotional terrain of his youth. Its final poem,
